Horse Racing Preview – Market Rasen – 23rd November 2017

Darren's first pick of the day - River Frost ridden by Barry Geraghty (right) leads Expedite ridden by Tom Cannon in his last race.

Today’s horse racing preview comes from Market Rasen with two selections from the meeting.

13.10 Market Rasan -Premier League Betting At 188Bet Handicap Hurdle (20.5f)

River Frost (145)

Appleandpierres (133)

Oh Land Abloom (132)

Alan King’s River Frost should be a lot sharper this time around after running fifth on Seasons re-appearance at Chepstow in the Grade 3 Silver Trophy Handicap, this should be a lot easier in class with the sixth place franking the form last weekend.

Both Applesandpierres and Oh Land Abloom should be chasing him home, the former represents a trainer in form in Harry Skelton, may need the run this time around though.

RIVER FROST : 3pt Win @ 13/8 (BOG)

14.10 Market Rasen – Davis Cup Tennis At 188Bet Handicap Chase (23.5f)

Have A Go Hero (142)

Ultimatum Du Roy (119)

I am very surprised to see Dai William’s Have a go Hero the outsider here considering he has beaten the likes of Shelford back in the Spring when having the visor fitted, I think excuses could be made last time at Haydock when running over a longer trip and cheekpieces did not have the desire effect as planned, the visor returns this afternoon and back on softer ground he should be in the mix I feel under James Banks.

Ultimatum Du Roy has to give weight all round here, the nine year old had ran two solid thirds this season already over course and distance, comes here still probably a few pound in hand and will give a good account once more.

HAVE A GO HERO : 1pt each way @ 10/1
