Southampton vs Liverpool

Southampton vs Liverpool: Liverpool will be hoping to move back to the top of the Premier League table when they travel to St Mary’s on Friday night to face a resurgent Southampton.
The Reds scored yet another late winner last time out, this time against Tottenham as they ran out 2-1 victors. A late own goal from Toby Alderweireld handed them the points, to keep them on track with Manchester City at the league’s summit. It was the first time in 12 matches Sadio Mane wasn’t on the scoresheet. The Malian has been in red hot form, leading the way in Liverpool’s bid for a first ever Premier League title.
Despite netting 20 goals this season, Mohamad Salah’s recent form could give Jurgen Klopp cause for concern. The Egyptian winger is now eight games without a goal, which is his worst run in a Liverpool shirt. On the road, the Reds have won just one of their last four away league games, although three of those have been draws. It’s those dropped points which have handed the initiative to City, as opposed to their record at ‘fortress’ Anfield.
Southampton took a massive step to securing their Premier League status for another year, beating Brighton 1-0 at the Amex on Saturday. That win leaves the Saints 16th in the table, but they now hold a five-point lead over Cardiff City, with a game in hand. With Fulham and Huddersfield both relegated, it looks like a four-team battle to avoid that final spot. However, of the four sides, it’s Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men who are in the best form, winning three of their last five fixtures. At home, they’ve only lost one of their last five fixtures, winning their last two, which included an impressive victory over Tottenham. Liverpool should reference that result as a warning sign, otherwise, they could see themselves on the wrong side of an upset.
Paul Tierney is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 31 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 37.9. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.
If Liverpool were to drop points, it would really open the chance for Manchester City to claim a second consecutive title. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Southampton get something, they’re in good form, especially at home. I’m going to back Klopp’s side to just edge this one, but don’t be shocked if it ends all square.
Southampton vs Liverpool will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League with kick-off at 20:00 GMT.

Arsenal vs Newcastle – Match Preview
Arsenal vs Newcastle

FA Premier League, Emirates StadiumLive on Sky Sports Premier League HD – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT
Arsenal vs Newcastle: Arsenal will be hoping to move up to third in the Premier League table with a home win over Newcastle on Monday night.
The Gunners sit just one-point behind third-placed Tottenham Hotspur, ahead of their trip to Anfield on Sunday. It’s been a long break for Unai Emery’s side, after they last featured on April 14, some 19 days ago. Their last Premier League outing was against Manchester United, where they came out 2-0 victors. That huge victory lifted Arsenal back into fourth, with just eight games remaining. A 3-0 Europa League triumph over Rennes also meant that confidence was high heading into the international break. Mesut Ozil played crucial roles in both of those matches, in his first back-to-back starts of 2019. Could this be a sign the German is finally winning over Emery? Who knows? However, I would expect him to feature once again against Newcastle on Monday. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have both benefited from Ozil’s playmaking, in this 3-4-1-2 system. Aubameyang has three goals in his last two games, as a result.
Newcastle come into this match 13th in the Premier League table, seven points above the relegation zone. Rafael Benitez’s side have been in good form recently, with just one defeat in their last six games. Last time out, they recorded a 2-2 draw away with Bournemouth, thanks to a late Matt Ritchie strike. The Magpies strong recent run has lifted them clear of danger, with only Arsenal and Liverpool still to play from the top six. They haven’t won away from home this year, however, which could a course for concern. Salomon Rondon will be hoping to secure his future at St James’ Park beyond this season. The Venezuelan striker has three goals in his last three games and five in his last nine matches.
Anthony Taylor is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 43 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 32.2. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.
Arsenal’s terrific home form has made the Emirates one of the toughest places to visit in the Premier League. Newcastle’s form has improved recently, but I still think the Gunners will be too strong for them.

Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur – Match Preview
Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur
Sunday 31 March 2019
FA Premier League, AnfieldLive on Sky Sports Premier League HD – Kick-Off: 16:30 GMT
Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur: League-leaders Liverpool will be looking to extend their lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table when they host Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.
The Reds moved to the summit with a 2-1 win over Fulham last time out, with City embroiled in FA Cup action. That win means Jurgen Klopp’s side have a two-point cushion, although Pep Guardiola’s side hold a game in hand. After a tricky run of results, Liverpool have now registered three wins in a row and are unbeaten since January, in all competitions. Sadio Mane kept up his hot scoring streak over the international break. The Malian forward now has 12 goals in as many games for club and country. In addition, Mane has also been Liverpool’s first goal scorer in each of the last seven games they have scored in, making him a fine bet for the first goal scorer. At home, Liverpool are yet to lose this season, which is a remarkable run. Now others side in England can boast that same record, which has been the bedrock of their title challenge.
Tottenham head to Merseyside without a league win in four games, their worst run of the season. Defeats in their last two away games, to Burnley and Chelsea, won’t have eased fears over a trip to the league leaders. Harry Kane’s return to fitness hasn’t inspired a turn around in form for Mauricio Pochettino’s men. As a result, Spurs now hold just a slender one-point lead over Arsenal in fourth. Chelsea, who occupy sixth, are also just four behind them, as a result. It’s bound to be a spectacular end to the season, with four teams vying for two Champions League spots. Surprisingly, only Liverpool have collected more points on the road than Tottenham, although Manchester City, in third, have played two fewer games.
Martin Atkinson is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 37 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 34.1. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.
Liverpool’s home form and recent run at Anfield makes it tough to look past a Reds win. Tottenham need a response from somewhere and a marquee win at Anfield could prove just the trick to reignite their season. I am going to edge the way of the hosts, however, but I do expect this one to be tight.
