Crystal Palace vs Brighton and Hove Albion – Match Preview

Crystal Palace vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Monday 16th
December 2019
FA Premier League, Selhurst Park

Live on Sky Sports Football HD – Kick Off: 19:45 GMT

Two mid table clubs collide as Crystal Palace host Brighton and Hove Albion in Premier League action this Monday night.

The hosts are unbeaten in their last three Premier League matches – with two coming as victories over Burnley and Bournemouth. Meanwhile, Brighton are hoping to stabilise after some poor form and did so in their last two matches with a win over Arsenal and draw to Wolves. Both holding their own this season.

Crystal Palace are priced at 6/4 to win the match by SkyBet and potentially climb higher into the top half of the table. The Eagles have not been the most exciting team to watch at times this season, but their fans won’t care as they are on course to avoid the drop zone comfortably. Their matches have averaged 2 goals per match – the lowest in the league and they don’t have an out and out goal scorer.

Jordan Ayew is currently their top scorer with four goals and will be key if Palace are to get a win on home soil. He is priced at 15/8 to score anytime.

Brighton and Hove Albion are priced at 19/10 to win the match and gain ground on their Monday night opponents. The visitors have been mightily impressive under Graham Potter this season after many thought they would be certain for relegation. Instead, they have been very consistent, especially against teams that are in the bottom half of the table.

Some great summer business was signing the striker Neal Maupay from Championship side Brentford. The Frenchman has six goals this season, including an impressive half volley against Wolves last time out, and is priced at 15/8 to score anytime.

The match will be televised on Sky Sports Main Event HD and kicks off at 20:00.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton and Hove Albion

– Not much to separate these two sides in league position or recent form. Tough to call a winner.

Manchester United vs Everton – Match Preview

Manchester United vs Everton
Sunday 15th December 2019
FA Premier League, Old Trafford

Live on Sky Sports Premier League HD – Kick Off: 14:00 GMT

Manchester United host Everton in Premier League action this Sunday as they look to continue their rich vein of form.

The Reds are entering this match on the back of two huge scalps against Tottenham and their rivals Manchester City. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems to be impressing in the hot seat, for now. Meanwhile, Everton are still searching for a permanent manager and Duncan Ferguson will take charge of this one with his side deep in the bottom half of the table.

Manchester United are priced at 3/4 to win this match by SkyBet and continue to put pressure on the top four spots. The Red Devils are looking at their most dangerous in a long while under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with three wins on the bounce, including their Europa League success. Mason Greenwood bagged a brace and illuminated, yet again, the standard in quality from youth players that they now possess.

However, it will be Marcus Rashford who should come back into the starting eleven for this match up. The striker has ten goals and four assists this season and is priced at 13/5 to score first.

Everton are priced at 7/2 to win this match and build on from their 3-1 win over Chelsea last time out. The Toffees are hoping Duncan Ferguson is the good omen they need given their current position in the table. They face a tough side in United who are in better form than them but showcased great heart and desire against Chelsea that if carries over to this match, could see they grab something.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was on hand for a brace in their last match and has a point to prove with a new manager due at the club shortly. He is priced at 12/5 to score anytime.

The match will be televised on Sky Sports Main Event HD and kicks off at 14:00.

Prediction: Manchester United 1-1 Everton

– Whilst United are in form, fatigue from their midweek European match could see them come up short here.

Liverpool vs Watford – Match Preview

Liverpool vs Watford
Saturday 14th
December 2019
FA Premier League, Anfield

Live on BT Sport 1 HD – Kick Off: 12:30 GMT

Premier League leaders Liverpool will look to extend their gap at the top further as they host relegation threatened Watford on Saturday.

The Reds are eight points ahead of the rest and are unbeaten after 16 matches in the league. More incredibly, they are unbeaten in 48 home Premier League matches – so yeah, good luck Watford. The Hornets are at the other end of the spectrum, rock bottom, and in desperate need of a win that will be hard to come by at Anfield.

Liverpool are clear favourites for this match and are priced at 1/5 to win by SkyBet. Jurgen Klopp’s side simply look unbeatable in the Premier League – even when they don’t play that well. With 15 wins and 1 draw to their name thus far, it is highly unlikely they will be dealt their first loss to bottom of the league who are 37 points behind them.

Sadio Mane is becoming one of the world’s best players this season and is now the main man for Liverpool in attack. He has nine goals and four assists and is priced at 3/1 to score first.

Watford are priced at 12/1 to win the match as they hunt for their first win in five matches. The London based club are in deep waters after just one win in 16 matches in the league. However, Nigel Pearson has just taken the helm at the club and will need some time to get his house in order. The main issue is that Watford no longer have an out and out goal scorer.

Andre Gray is cutting a frustrated figure up front but is due a goal soon as he does get chances in this side. He is priced at 7/2 to score anytime.

The match will be televised on BT Sport 1 HD and kicks off at 12:30PM GMT.

Prediction: Liverpool 4 – 0 Watford

– The hosts should walk over this Watford side who look out of ideas, even under new management.

Suggested Tips – Liverpool vs Watford – (BET 365)

  • Correct Score – Liverpool 4-0 – (link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Sadio Mane – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Liverpool vs Watford – (SKYBET)

  • Popular RequestABets – Van Dijk to score a header and Alexander-Arnold to score from outside the area  – 100/1.
