Arsenal vs Brighton and Hove Albion – Match Preview

Arsenal vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Thursday 5th December 2019
FA Premier League, Emirates Stadium

Live on Amazon Prime – Kick Off: 20:15 GMT

Freddie Ljunberg will embark on his second match in charge of Arsenal as they host Brighton and Hove Albion this Thursday in Premier League action.

The Gunners are going through a transitional process since Unai Emery’s sacking and ex player Ljunberg is in the hot seat, for now. He will be hoping for a better result than the 2-2 draw with Norwich in his curtain raiser. Meanwhile, Brighton are also looking to end some poor form after three losses on the bounce.

Arsenal are priced at 8/13 to win the match by SkyBet and end their eight-game winless run. It is no secret that the North London club is having their problems on and off the pitch. During this eight-match run without a win, they have also failed to keep a clean sheet. However, they do possess plenty more quality throughout their squad than their Thursday night opponents.

Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has yet again been the only player to gain any credit this campaign and has ten goals to his name so far. He is priced at 13/5 to score the matches first goal.

Brighton and Hove Albion are priced at 19/5 to win the match and possibly create more space between themselves and the relegation places. The visitors are in bad form, but in fairness, had a tough run of fixtures and just faced Manchester United, Leicester City and Liverpool in back to back matches.

Whilst they have surprised a few people this season with some more free flowing football under Graham Potter, their away record is abysmal.

The South coast outfit have lost five of their last six matches on the road and have drawn the other. If they are to score at the Emirates, it is most likely to come from Neal Maupay – who is priced at 21/10 to score anytime.

The referee for this match will be Graham Scott. The official has not been too card happy this campaign thus far – with an average of 34.4 booking points from his eight topflight matches.

The match will be televised on Amazon Prime Video and kicks off at 20:15.

Jose Mourinho returns to his former club as Tottenham travel to Manchester United in Wednesday night Premier League action.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in desperate need of a win as reports have surfaced that his future at Old Trafford is on thin ice. Meanwhile, Mourinho is still settling into life at Spurs and is chasing down the top four.

Manchester United are priced at 13/8 to win the match on SkyBet and potentially save Solskjaer’s job for now. The Red Devils have been under plenty of scrutiny this season for their below par performances and results. They are currently ninth in the Premier League but have been less than convincing in most of their matches. Marcus Rashford has shown moments of brilliance and will want to steal the headlines this Wednesday night. He is priced at 7/5 to score anytime.

Tottenham are priced at 8/5 to win the match and add to their five-match unbeaten run in all competitions. Mourinho has hit the ground running at Spurs and his side are chasing down the top four in the league. His side are free flowing in attack and the Portuguese boss seems to have revitalised Dele Alli.

The attacking midfielder grabbed a brace in their previous win against Bournemouth and is priced at 14/5 to score anytime. Striker Harry Kane is also still finding the back of the net with ease and has seven goals in this campaign. He is priced at 7/2 to score first.

The referee for this match will be Paul Tierney. The official has been one of the more lenient in the topflight and has averaged 30.9 booking points from his eleven Premier League matches in charge. SkyBet are offering 11/10 for 50+ booking points in this grudge match.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur will be televised on Amazon Prime Video and kicks off at 19:30.

Prediction: Manchester United 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur

– The visitors are in fine form under Mourinho and their forward players will be too much for United’s shaky defence.

Charlton Athletic vs Sheffield Wednesday – Match Preview

Charlton Athletic vs Sheffield Wednesday
Saturday 30th November 2019
The Championship,The Valley

Live on Sky Sports Football HD – Kick Off: 12:30 GMT

Charlton Athletic will host Sheffield Wednesday in SkyBet Championship action this Saturday.

Both clubs have had average seasons by their own standards, with the hosts slipping down the table after a flying start. Lee Bowyer’s side are now in 17th and looking over their shoulder rather than forward. Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday are 10th and chasing the play-off places which a win at The Valley would help with.

Charlton are priced at 5/2 to win this match by SkyBet and end this six-match run without a victory. Despite their recent poor form, Lee Bowyer’s men haven’t struggled to find the net as they have bagged in five of their last six matches. Their home form reads a little better, with wins against Leeds and Derby in their last five at The Valley.

Youngster Conor Gallagher has been a revelation for Charlton on loan from Chelsea. The midfielder is an expert dribbler and can find the back of the net – with six goals and one assist. He is priced at 7/2 to score anytime.

Sheffield Wednesday are priced at 11/10 to win the match and are also in poor form, without a win in five matches. Wednesday would have hoped for better results in recent weeks and could only salvage a draw against a mediocre Birmingham side in midweek. Whilst Garry Monk’s arrival hasn’t quite had the desired impact just yet, they have a master bags man in Steven Fletcher up front.

The experienced striker has six goals so far this season and is a complete nuisance for any defence he faces. He is priced at 9/5 to score anytime.

The referee for this match will be Tim Robinson. The official has been one of the more lenient in the second division with an average of 30.5 booking points from his ten Championship matches in charge.

The match will be televised on Sky Sports Football HD and kicks off at 12:30.
