Valencia vs Chelsea – Match Preview

Valencia vs Chelsea
Wednesday 27th November 2019
UEFA Champions League, Mestella Stadium

Live on BT Sport 3 – Kick Off: 17:55 GMT

Chelsea will travel to Spain to face Valencia on Wednesday night in UEFA Champions League action.

It is still all to play for in Group H with both these sides and Ajax on seven points heading into the final two matches. They also boast incredibly similar records with the London-based club scoring just one more goal than their Spanish opposition but have conceded one more – meaning they share the same goal difference.

In the reverse of this fixture at Stamford Bridge, Valencia battled out a narrow 1-0 victory.

Valencia are priced at 23/10 by SkyBet to win this crunch group match. The Spanish side are underdogs in this group but will not go out without a fight. In their last group match, at home to Lille, they netted four goals in a convincing 4-1 victory. Striker Maxi Gomez is fit for this tie and will be a possible headache for the visitors. The Uruguayan has six goals from 13 matches this season in all competitions and is 2/1 to score anytime.

Chelsea are priced at 21/20 to win the match and continue to improve under Frank Lampard’s guidance. The Blues lost on the weekend to Premier League champions Manchester City but performed well and came out the match with their heads held high. For a young side they have shown strong character and desire – which was illustrated when they beat last season’s semi-finalists, Ajax, 1-0 on the road.

Going forward, Tammy Abraham has been a revelation at the spearhead of the attack and will be relied upon on Wednesday. He is priced at 21/20 to score anytime.

The referee for this match will be German Felix Zwayer. In their last meeting, only 30 booking points were brandished but more is at stake this time around. SkyBet are offering 11/10 for 60+ booking points.

The match will be televised on BT Sport 3 HD and kicks off at the earlier time of 17:55.

Prediction: Valencia 1 –  2 Chelsea

– The visitors made a good account of themselves against Man City on the weekend and are showcasing good character for a young side.

Aston Villa vs Newcastle United – Match Preview

Aston Villa vs Newcastle United
Monday 25th
 November 2019
FA Premier League, Villa Park

Live on Sky Sports Premier League – Kick Off: 20:00 GMT

Aston Villa will host Newcastle United in Monday night Premier League action.

Struggling Aston Villa are in need of a win as they currently sit 17th with two losses on the bounce. Meanwhile, Newcastle have found some surprising form with three wins from their last five and are 13th – seven points from the drop zone.

Aston Villa are priced at 11/10 to win the match on SkyBet and turnaround their recent poor form. Dean Smith has found out just how hard this league is since promotion, but this match is a must win for Villa. The worrying sign for the Villians is that they have gone their previous nine matches in all competitions without a clean sheet. Both teams to score is priced at 4/6.

Going forward, summer signing Wesley Moraes has got four goals this season and is growing into his role as the lone target man. He is 9/2 to score first.

Newcastle United are priced at 12/5 to win and claim their third away victory of the season. Steve Bruce is starting to see his vision come to life with his athletic front three and the fans are starting to get off his back. They have been free scoring from all over the pitch and got recent scalps against West Ham and Bournemouth. Incredibly, no Newcastle player has scored more than twice.

However, Allan Saint-Maximin has been a free spirit in the Toon attack and is getting closer to scoring his first goal. He is priced at 7/2 to score anytime and open his Newcastle account.

The referee for this match will be Lee Mason. The official has not been too shy with his cards this season and has averaged 45 booking points per match. Villa’s Trezeguet has racked up four cards so far this campaign and is priced at 7/2 to be carded.

Aston Villa vs Newcastle United will be televised on Sky Sports Main Event HD and kicks off at 20:00.

Correct Score: Aston Villa 1-1 Newcastle United

– Both of these sides have strengths in similar areas – it’s tough to separate them.

Middlesbrough vs Hull City – Match Preview

Middlesbrough vs Hull City
Sunday 24th November 2019
The Championship, Riverside Stadium

Live on Sky Sports Football HD – Kick Off: 12:00 GMT

Middlesbrough and Hull City face off in a SkyBet Championship North East clash this Sunday lunchtime.

The hosts really have to start bucking their ideas up as they are currently in the relegation zone with 13 points from 16 matches. Meanwhile, Hull City have made up for a poor start to their campaign and are comfortably mid-table six points from the play-off places.

Middlesbrough are priced at 11/8 to win the match by SkyBet and give Jonathan Woodgate a little breathing space with the club’s board. The Boro are in woeful form and need to get some more points on the board as soon as possible. They have just one win from their last ten matches in the Championship and have failed to score in four of their last five. Striker Britt Assombolonga is the main man for Woodgate and will be relied upon to get them out of this mess. He has six goals this season and is 8/5 to score anytime.

Hull City are priced at 17/10 to win and continue their decent run of form in the league. The Tigers have not been the most captivating side to watch this season but they’re getting the job done. They have recently come out of a tough run of fixtures with nine points from a possible 12 – a feat that didn’t look likely beforehand. However, with star power such as Jarrod Bowen in the team, anything is possible.

The winger has continued to impress for Hull as rumours regarding his future and a move to the Premier League rumble on. He has nine goals and two assists this season and will be the biggest worry for the hosts this Sunday. He is 9/2 to score first.

The referee for this match will be Jeremy Simpson. Both sides previous league outing saw 60 booking points brandished in some rather feisty affairs. I would expect at least 40 booking points ahead of this territorial derby.

Middlesbrough vs Hull City will be televised on Sky Sports Football HD and kicks off at midday.

Prediction: Middlesbrough 1 – 2 Hull City

– The visitors are in better form and have the attacking flair of Jarrod Bowen to hurt their hosts.

Suggested Tips – Middlesbrough vs Hull City – (BET 365)

  • Correct score – Hull City to win 2-1 – (link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Jarrod Bowen – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Middlesbrough vs Hull City – (SKYBET)

  • Correct Score Group Betting – Hull City 1-0, 2-0, or 2-1  3/1.
  • Hull City Price Boost – Hull City to win and BTTS – 9/2.
