Leicester City vs Arsenal – Match Preview

Leicester City vs Arsenal
Saturday 9th November 2019
FA Premier League, King Power Stadium

Live on Sky Sports Premier League – Kick Off: 17:30 GMT

High-flying Leicester City play host to Arsenal in Premier League action this Saturday evening.

The hosts have been incredibly impressive this season, currently third in the Premier League, and keeping up with the big boys Manchester City and Liverpool. Meanwhile, Arsenal are struggling for consistency with problems on and off the field overriding their season.

Leicester are favourites for this match and are priced at 1/1 to win the match by SkyBet and enter the match on the back of four straight wins. The Foxes are a different animal under manager Brendan Rodgers. Organised, creative, composed and lethal in front of goal. They have torn some teams apart this season – with Southampton the most memorable – and will fancy their chances against this Arsenal side.

Jamie Vardy has re-found his form of previous season and is currently the league’s top goal scorer. Vardy has ten goals so far and is priced at 14/5 to score first.

Arsenal are priced at 12/5 to win the match and take some of the pressure off of manager Unai Emery. The gunners have won just one of their last five matches in all competitions. Their ability to see out a result has cost them dearly this campaign and has shown a lack of character in a squad that seem to be unhappy. However, the current situations at the club have not stopped marquee striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who has eight goals so far. He possesses the same kind of threat as Vardy and is priced at 7/5 to score anytime.

The referee for this match will be Graham Scott When these two met at the back end of last season, 75 booking points were handed out in an abrasive affair. We could see a similar level of intensity with both having high aspirations this season and see over 50+ booking points.

Leicester City vs Arsenal will be televised on Sky Sports Premier League HD and kicks off at 17:30.

Prediction: Leicester City 2-0 Arsenal

– The Foxes have looked the most dangerous they have in years and Arsenal are not in the best shape. Home advantage will be key.

Chelsea host Crystal Palace in Premier League action this Saturday lunchtime.

Frank Lampard and his side will still be trying to get their heads around the madness of their midweek Champions League draw with Ajax – after an enthralling 4-4 score line. Crystal Palace will want to be keeping their top half status in the league as they currently sit ninth.

Chelsea are priced at 4/11 to win by SkyBet are they look to continue their break away from the competition for a top four spot. Chelsea have impressed this season under Frank Lampard with the inability to sign players. Youngsters like Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham have stepped up to the plate. The latter is currently second in the golden boot race behind Jamie Vardy. Abraham has nine goals with two assists and is 12/5 to open the scoring.

Crystal Palace are priced at 7/1 to win and bounce back from their defeat to Leicester City. Palace look like a much more structured side this season under Roy Hodgson. Their recent form has taken a dip but they have played Manchester City, Arsenal and Leicester in their past three matches. Striker Jordan Ayew has found his feet up front. He has taken some time to get warm at Selhurst Park but has four goals this season. Ayew is priced at 10/3 to score anytime.

SkyBet are also offering 11/2 for both Jordan Ayew and Tammy Abraham to have 5+ shots on target between them – great odds if you think this will be an open and expansive match.

The referee for this match will be Mike Dean. Both of their previous Premier League outings saw at least 40 booking points. We could have a heated match-up on our hands between two London based clubs and see some cards shown by the official.

The match will be televised on BT Sport HD and kicks off at 12:30.
