Werder Bremen vs Wolfsburg – Match Preview

Werder Bremen vs Wolfsburg
Sunday 7th June 2020
Bundesliga – Weser Stadion

Live on BT Sport 1HD – Kick-off: 12:30 BST

Sunday’s Bundesliga action gets underway when Werder Bremen host Wolfsburg at lunchtime.

Both sides are battling at different ends of the Bundesliga table and still have plenty to play for. Werder Bremen’s thirty-nine-year tenure in Germany’s top-flight is threatening to come to an end as the club find themselves in the thick of a relegation battle. Bremen occupy 17th in the Bundesliga and find themselves two points from safety. In fairness their form since the Bundesliga’s return has been mixed, winning two and losing two of their five encounters since the leagues return.

Wolfsburg on the hand are battling to secure a place in next seasons Europa League. Oliver Glasner’s side are sixth, in the competitions play-off position with fierce competition from Hoffenheim who are level on points. Since the Bundesliga’s return Wolfsburg, similarly to Werder Bremen have won two and lost two of their encounters.

Wolfsburg are unbeaten in their last six away matches in all competitions winning four. SkyBet have priced them at 21/20 to come away with all three points on Sunday.

Bremen’s form generally this season has been poor, and their standing is no surprise considering they’ve won only six of their twenty-nine matches this season. Nine of Bremen’s last twelve home matches have ended in defeat.

The earlier meeting between these two sides came back in December and produced five goals. It was Bremen who came out on top with a 3-2 win, and a similar result this weekend could help kick-start their revival.

BTTS has landed in four of the last five meetings between these two sides, and SkyBet have priced it at 4/6 for this fixture.

Milos Veljkovic has been yellow carded in two of his last three Bundesliga appearances, including Wednesday night’s defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt. He is priced at 3/1 to be carded on SkyBet.

This match will be televised live on BT Sport 1, with kick-off scheduled for 12:30 BST on Sunday lunchtime.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich – Match Preview

Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich
Saturday 6th June 2020
Bundesliga – Bay Arena

Live on BT Sport 1 – Kick-off: 14:30 BST.

The pick of this weeks Bundesliga action comes from the Bay Arena as Bayer Leverkusen host Bayern Munich on Saturday afternoon.

It’s runaway leaders versus Champions League hopefuls in this one, with both hoping this unique season can be one topped off with success. Leverkusen sit 5th on 56 points, level on points with Borussia Monchengladbach and two behind RB Leipzig in 3rd. Pater Bosz’s side have lost one of their four matches since the Bundesliga’s return, winning the other three including last weekends 1-0 triumph away to SC Freiburg.

The superlatives are running out to describe this Bayern Munich juggernaut which is blitzing its way through Germany’s top-flight. The Bavarians are well on their way to making it eight consecutive Bundesliga titles, and have a healthy seven-point cushion between themselves and closest challengers Borussia Dortmund. Hans-Dieter Flick’s side have won all four matches since their return, scoring thirteen and more impressively, conceding only two.

It’s worth noting that Leverkusen came out on top in the seasons earlier meeting between these two with a 2-1 win at the Allianz arena. Leverkusen are one of only four teams to take all three points against Bayern this season, and one of two to win at the Allianz arena.

Leverkusen’s solid form has them in good stead ahead of this one. SkyBet have priced them at 5/1 to take all three points on Saturday.

Leverkusen’s win in November is their only win in the last five meetings in this fixture, with Bayern coming out on top in the other four. However, BTTS has landed in each of the last five encounters and is priced at 4/9 on SkyBet.

Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby has been yellow carded in two of his last three Bundesliga appearances and is priced at 5/1 to be booked in this one. In the reverse fixture there were four yellow cards awarded and 40+ booking points is priced at 8/13 on SkyBet this time round.

This match will be televised live on BT Sport 1, with kick-off scheduled for 14:30 BST on Saturday afternoon.

FC Koln vs RB Leipzig – Match Preview

FC Koln vs RB Leipzig
Monday 1st June 2020
Bundesliga – RheinEnergie STADION

Live on BT Sport 1HD – Kick-off 19:30 BST

The Bundesliga action continues on Monday evening as RB Leipzig travel to face FC Koln.

Both sides have started slowly since the Bundesliga’s resumption, but will be looking to pick up a positive result on Monday evening. In their last fixture Koln were defeated 3-1 away to Hoffenheim, meanwhile RB Leipzig were held 2-2 at home by Hertha Berlin; a result which saw them lose even more ground in the race for the title.

Koln are yet to win any of their three matches following the Bundesliga’s stoppage. Markus Gisdol’s side are without a win in their last four Bundesliga encounters and their poor run of form has seen them slip into the bottom half of the division.

RB Leipzig on the other hand have picked up where they left off in the Bundesliga and are unbeaten in their three matches since the re-start of football in Germany. Leipzig currently occupy 3rd place in the division, and trail 2nd placed Borussia Dortmund by two points. Julian Nagelsmann’s side are unbeaten in all competitions since January, a run which consists of eleven matches. SkyBet are offering odds of 4/7 for a Leipzig victory on Monday evening.

Despite having the lowest number of defeats in the Bundesliga this season, Leipzig’s tendency to draw matches has been their achilles heel. Ten of Leipzig’s twenty-five encounters this season have ended in a stalemate.

Leipzig were 4-1 winners in the reverse fixture back in November and boast the better recent record in this fixture. They’ve won three of the last five matches in this fixture. Koln’s most recent win came back in February 2018, where they were 2-1 winners.

BTTS has landed in each of the last five encounters between these two sides. BTTS in this fixture is priced at 8/15, whereas BTTS and Leipzig to win is at odds of 7/4.

This match will be televised live on BT Sport 1 HD with kick-off scheduled for 19:30 BST on Monday evening.
