Arsenal vs Manchester United – Match Preview

Arsenal vs Manchester United
Sunday 10th March
 2019
FA Premier League, Emirates Stadium

Live on Sky Sports Football – Kick-Off: 16:30 GMT

Arsenal vs Manchester United: Arsenal and Manchester United meet at the Emirates Stadium in a head-to-head battle that could boost either sides hopes of finishing fourth in the Premier League table.

The Gunners could be even further ahead in the race for fourth but for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s late penalty miss at Wembley. The Gunners’ top scorer missed the chance to claim all three points for his side in the 90th minute of last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham. Instead, they go into this game a point behind Manchester United, who hold the elusive final Champions League spot. It was a good performance from Unai Emery’s side, who looked would have claimed the win thanks to Aaron Ramsey’s goal, had it not been for Shkodran Mustafi’s brainless push on Harry Kane. The point means they’re unbeaten in four league games and they’ve also won their last four at home. Their last defeat at the Emirates came against United, in the FA Cup.

Manchester United will come into this game buoyed by their dramatic, last-gasp win at PSG in midweek. Marcus Rashford’s stoppage-time penalty ensured the Red Devils went through on away goals. That makes them the first side ever to progress to the next round after losing the first leg 2-0 at home. That win only further strengthened Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s push for the job on a full-time basis. To win at the Prince des Parc in such a manner, with ten first-team players injured and Paul Pogba suspended, is some feat. Romelu Lukaku continued his fine form with a third brace in as many games. The big Belgian is back firing in the goals and has formed a strong partnership up front with Rashford in recent games.

Jonathan Moss is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 32 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 39.5. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

Manchester United will be on cloud nine after their win over PSG. However, with so many players injured, it will be a very similar side that plays on Sunday.  Arsenal are also in good form, which makes this a tough one to call, however, I’m going to side with a (very) narrow away win.

Arsenal vs Manchester United will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Football with kick off at 16:30 GMT.

Liverpool vs Burnley – Match Preview

Liverpool vs Burnley
Sunday 10th March 2019
FA Premier League, Anfield

Live on BT Sport 1 – Kick-Off: 12:00 GMT

Liverpool vs Burnley: Liverpool will be hoping to close the gap on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table when they host strugglers Burnley at Anfield.

The Reds fell to second spot after last week’s 0-0 draw away at Everton. With City playing on Saturday night, the gap between Liverpool and City could be four points ahead of this game. Therefore, this is a must-win game for Jurgen Klopp’s side, as they look to re-establish themselves in the title race. It’s been a tough run for Liverpool, who have dropped six points in their last five games. They held a seven-point cushion in December but the pressure seems to have told. Injuries haven’t helped matters – Roberto Firmino returned to action off the bench at Goodison, whilst Dejan Lovren is still out. Liverpool’s main issues seems to be a lack of creativity in midfield. These last few games have been the first where they look to have missed Philippe Coutinho. They also missed out on Nabil Fekir in the summer, whilst Nabi Keita has failed to live up to expectations, so far. Liverpool are unbeaten at Anfield this season and have won four of their last five league home fixtures.

Burnley suffered disappointing back-to-back defeats last week, after being in fine form. The Clarets’ 3-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace has left them in 16th spot, five points above 18th-placed Cardiff City. Prior to those results, Sean Dyche’s side had experienced an upturn in form, with a run of seven games unbeaten. It’s also remembering that Burnley beat Tottenham not so long ago, and claimed a point away at Manchester United, in a game they should have won. That being said, this is a much tougher task. Their defence has recorded one clean sheet from their last nine games, which should be a major concern heading to Anfield.

Andre Marriner is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 34 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 32.5. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

Liverpool will be desperate to get back to winning ways after a week of intense scrutiny. At Anfield, they have been imperious this season. As a result, I’m backing them to bounce back, in emphatic style.

Liverpool vs Burnley will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 1 with kick-off at 12:00 GMT.

  • RequestABet Specials 80/1 and above – Salah to score and Burnley to win – 125/1.

Manchester City vs Watford – Match Preview

Manchester City vs Watford
Saturday 9th March 2019
The Premier League, Etihad Stadium

Live on BT Sport 1 – 17:30 GMT

Manchester City vs Watford: League-leaders Manchester City will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to four points when they host Watford on Saturday evening.

Pep Guardiola’s side have an outright lead once again at the league’s summit, thanks to Liverpool’s 0-0 draw with Everton last Sunday. City now have a one-point lead, having found themselves seven points behind only three months ago. It’s been some turn around form the champions, who have been relentless since the turn of the year. Their 1-0 win over Bournemouth last week didn’t quite tell the whole story. City had 83% possession in that game and prevented the Cherries having a single shot, on or off target – the first time that has ever happened to a home team in the Premier League. The Citizens have kept clean sheets in each of their last three games and five in seven games in all competitions. That improvement at the back has been the catalyst to allow their forward players to win matches.

Watford come into this after a dramatic 2-1 win over Leicester last Sunday. Andre Gray’s stoppage-time winner ensured all three points for the Hornets. It was their fifth win in six games, in all competitions. The only blight on that record was 5-0 drubbing at Liverpool, the last big side they played. Javi Gracia’s team sit eighth in the table, level on points with Wolves who sit in seventh. Therefore, European football is a major possibility, with only goal difference separating them from being ‘the best of the rest’. Watford have conceded one goal or fewer in five of their last six games, registering three clean sheets. The Hornets have also lost just two of their last eight matches on the road.

Martin Atkinson is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 29 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 39.1. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

Manchester City are in such strong form right now, it’s hard to see past them. Watford are a side capable of making life difficult, however, I can’t see anything but a City win.

Manchester City vs Watford will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 1 with kick-off at 18:30.

Prediction: Manchester City 2-0 Watford

Suggested Tips – Manchester City vs Watford – (BET365):

  • Correct score: Manchester City to win – 2-0 – (link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Sergio Aguero – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Manchester City vs Watford – (SKYBET):

  • Both Players to Score – Raheem Sterling and David Silva – 11/2.
  • Under/Over 2.5 Goals – Under – 9/4.
  • Popular RequestABet – Aguero to score a header and Sane to score from outside the area – 150/1.
  • Popular RequestABet – BTTS, 4+ Watford corners, Kompany to be carded and 10+ booking points each team – 33/1.
  • RequestABet Insurance – Goal scored in both halves, 4+ Manchester City corners, 4+ Watford corners and 20+ booking points each team – 18/1.
