Manchester City vs Chelsea: City will be looking to move back to the top of the Premier League table when they face Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
City moved top of the Premier League table on Wednesday night with a 2-0 win away at Everton. That lifted Pep Guardiola’s men ahead of Liverpool on goal difference at the top of the league, although the Reds do have a game in hand – which is away at Manchester United. After also beating Arsenal 3-1 at the weekend, City have gained a physiological advantage in the race for the title. If they pick up maximum points from their next two games they will keep their lead at the top. That will increase the pressure on Liverpool, which could see them drop points. Sergio Aguero’s hat-trick at the weekend was his 10th in the Premier League, only Alan Shearer (11) has more. With the Argentine in superb form, he would be a good bet for first goal scorer on Sunday.
The Blues will be hoping for a result against City as they bid to hold off Manchester United’s push for second place. The Red Devils moved a point ahead of the Blues after their win over Fulham on Saturday. Maurizio Sarri’s side will be buoyed by their 5-0 thrashing of Huddersfield last weekend, with new striker Gonzalo Higuain bagging a brace. The Argentine striker had his best scoring spell under Sarri at Napoli and the pair will be hoping to rekindle that relationship at Stamford Bridge. The Blues need to address their form on the road after failing to win any of their last four games – losing three. That highlights the lack of character and consistency in the Chelsea ranks, which needs to be addressed between now and the end of the season.
Mike Dean is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 13 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 50.4. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 60+ total points for this fixture. Dean’s next red card will be the 100th of his career.
City look relentless and are breathing down Liverpool’s necks. They look the form side and therefore I think they will edge out this an inconsistent Chelsea side.

Stoke City vs West Bromwich Albioin: the visitors will be hoping to bounce back from defeat against Middlesbrough by closing the gap on the top two with a win against Stoke City.
The Baggies suffered a blow in their bid for automatic promotion after a 3-2 defeat at the Hawthorns last weekend. Despite leading the game 2-1, a Britt Assombalonga ensured former boss Tony Pulis came away with three points. That result has left Darren Moore’s side in fourth, seven points behind the top two, but with a game in hand. West Brom’s Achilles heel is evident – they have conceded the most goals out of any side in the top eight. Individual errors have proved costly, with two of Boro’s three goals coming from avoidable mistakes. Whilst they may have the best strike force in the division – Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez were both target on Saturday – if they can’t keep clean sheets, they won’t go up automatically. With the gap at seven points – potentially four – the Baggies need to bounce back at Stoke, to ensure the gap doesn’t widen further.
Stoke have had a mixed start to life under Nathan Jones. It’s clear nothing is expected of this campaign despite their being 16 games left. The new boss has experimented with a back three in recent weeks, with varying degrees of success. Stoke are this season’s underachievers, haven’t been odds-on favourites to win the league in August. They’re now 15th, nine points off the play-offs. They have won one of their last nine in all competitions, which came at home to Leeds. Between now and the end of the campaign, Jones will be assessing his squad, to decide who to keep in the summer. That means the squad are playing for their futures, which should bring some fight from them.
Jeremy Simpson is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 15 second-tier matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 38.7. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.
If West Brom are serious about the top two, these are the sort of games they must win. Stoke are out of form and the Baggies have won four of their last five away games, however, so I’m backing the visitors for all three points.

Fulham vs Manchester United – Match Preview
Fulham vs Manchester United

FA Premier League, Craven Cottage

Fulham vs Manchester United: United will be hoping to jump up to fourth in the Premier League table when they travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham on Saturday lunch-time.
The Red Devils made it nine wins from ten matches under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the weekend, thanks to a solitary goal from Marcus Rashford. The Englishman was once again preferred to Romelu Lukaku down the middle and reaped the rewards with an early strike. That goal was his eighth in 13 appearances for the Red Devils – ten of which have come under the Norwegian. With Arsenal dropping points and Chelsea performing inconsistency, there is now a genuine expectation, as much of a belief, that United will finish in the top four. They were 11 points adrift of fourth when Solskjaer took over, which underlines how successful he has been. They have won their last five games on the road and will be expecting another three points on Saturday.
Fulham come into this game after a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace. Claudio Ranieri’s side sit 19th in the Premier League table, seven points adrift of safety. If the Cottagers want to turn their season around, they are going to have to become harder to beat, especially at home. They have won two of their three league matches at Craven Cottage, against teams in and around them. However, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City the next three visitors to London, they may need a result against one of the big boys. On the road, they have to stop losing games, or they will be back in the second tier at the first time of asking.
Paul Tierney is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 11 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 40 Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 60+ total points for this fixture.
Fulham have looked far from convincing in recent weeks – even against Brighton, they were 2-0 down before battling back. I think United will claim another three points here and may even do it without breaking stride.
Fulham vs Manchester United will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League HD and kicks off at 12:30 GMT.
