Notes

Codeshare won over course and distance less than 3 weeks ago and is aiming for a hat trick win and looks the one to beat as Mark Johnston’s Final has top weight.

Water Wagtail ran a good race when finishing 3rd on its last start and the step up in distance will suit the Emma Lavelle trained horse, with Daryl Jacob on board.

Strike Is Back 4/7 – NAP 5pt stake

Horse Racing – UK / Ireland – 21st March 2017 – Exeter 2.30pm – Higos Insurance Services Bideford Novices’ Handicap Hurdle

Horse Racing – UK / Ireland – 21st March 2017 – Southwell 4.25pm – Sunbets.co.uk Handicap

War Department 7/2 – 3pt stake

Gordon Elliott’s Strike is Back looks the stand out horse in this meeting. Finishing 2nd on its latest outing in a Maiden Hurdle race, running on towards the finish. Running only 3 days later but dropping in trip, the 5 year old mare will enjoy the run for the in form trainer.

War Department has been in excellent form for Keith Dalgliesh and though the draw may not be ideal, the 4 year old will give a good solid run and can notch its 2nd win of the month.

Cheltenham Festival Day 4 preview

Cheltenham Festival Day 4 preview

Here’s our Horse Racing preview for the Cheltenham Festival day 4.

Cheltenham Festival Day 4 – 1.30pm – JCB Triumph Hurdle (Grade 1)

Defi Du Seuil has won 3 out of 3 here at Cheltenham and has also won all 5 starts over hurdles and looks a strong favourite. Landofhopeandglory has good stamina and the heavy ground on its last outing did not suit. Nicky Henderson’s Charli Parcs fell in the Adonis at Kempton but the trainers believe the horse to be back in good form.

Favourite – Defi Du Seuil
Value Tip / Bet – Landofhopeandglory
Each Way – Charli Parcs

Cheltenham Festival Day 4 – 2.10pm – Randox Health County Handicap Hurdle (Grade 3)

North Hill Harvey runs for Dan Skelton, who has 3 entries in this race, looks to be the stable selection. He won the Greatwood at Cheltenham and has a great chance. Mick Jazz came third in its only Handicap race and could go well for the in form Gordon Elliott.

Favourite – North Hill Harvey
Value Tip / Bet – Air Horse One
Each Way – Mick Jazz

Cheltenham Festival Day 4 – 2.50pm – Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle (Grade 1)

Death Duty beat a Grade 3 winner at Navan and then a Grade 1 winner at Naas. Though slightly lucky due to a fall from Augusta Kate, Gordon Elliott’s horse should give a good account. The Worlds End ran a fine race when coming in 2nd to No Hassle Hoff, with the winner receiving a 7lb pull on the runner up.

Favourite – Death Duty
Value Tip / Bet – The Worlds End
Each Way – Augusta Kate

Cheltenham Festival Day 4 – 3.30pm – Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase (Grade 1)

Cue Card has won at the festival twice before and though he fell in last years Gold Cup, he was travelling very well. The only concern would be his age and the Colin Tizzard trained horse may struggle to overcome some of the younger horses. Stablemate Native River has won the Hennessy, Welsh National and beat Bristol De Mai in the Denman Chase. He looks to be the main danger to Djakadam, who has come up against Outlander on a few occasions recently. Sizing John could be the surprise outsider, having come 2nd to Douvan at last years Arkle and this season, stepping up to 3 miles, having beaten Empire of Dirt.

Favourite – Djakadam
Value Tip / Bet – Sizing John
Each Way – Native River

David’s Tips for the Day

Each Way Double – Defi Du Seuil ( 1.30pm) and Air Horse One (2.10pm)

Single Win – Death Duty (2.50pm)

Each Way Single  – Native River (3.30pm)

Cheltenham Festival Day 3 Preview

Cheltenham Festival Day 3 Preview

Here’s our Horse Racing preview for the Cheltenham Festival day 3.

Cheltenham Festival Day 3 – 1.30pm – JLT Novices’ Chase (Grade 1)

Yorkhill has a had an up and down start to chasing but has stamina as seen last year in the Neptune.  With Willie Mullins saying the horse could be a potential Gold Cup horse, Yorkhill will take a lot of beating. Top Notch should be his closest rival for Nicky Henderson who has made a great start to chasing and won a Grade 1 on his last start at Sandown as well as being a regular at the festival.

Favourite – Yorkhill
Value Tip / Bet – Politologue
Each Way – Top Notch

Cheltenham Festival Day 3 – 2.10pm – Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle (Listed)

Tobefair has been raised 63lbs for winning 7 consecutive races in a row and looks as though it may struggle, though does warrant respect. Presenting Percy has also been raised 16lbs but the Irish horse looks to still be improving. Isleofhopendreams should be close for the Mullins/Walsh combination.

Favourite – Presenting Percy
Value Tip / Bet – Isleofhopendreams
Each Way – Rocklander OR Tobefair

Cheltenham Festival Day 3 – – Ryanair Chase (Grade 1)

An exciting race where Un De Sceaux takes on Uxizandre again. The pair fought it out at the Clarence House Chase in January where Un De Sceaux won by 5 lengths. Uxizandre ran very well considering it had not run since 2015, winning this race. Alan Kings horse could reverse the placings with a run under the Geldings belt. Empire of Dirt ran very well last month when behind Sizing John in the Irish Gold Cup last month and has a great chance.

Favourite – Empire of Dirt and Un De Sceaux
Value Tip / Bet – Uxizandre
Each Way – Empire of Dirt

Cheltenham Festival Day 3 – 3.30pm – Sun Bets Stayers’ Hurdle (Grade 1)

Unowhatimeanharry looks to be the class act in the field. Winning its last 8 races and has had most of this field trailing behind him. Jezki , a Champion Hurdle winner in 2014 looks as though it can go close if reproducing its earlier form. Shaneshill has an each way chance having beaten Snow Falcon in January. Cole Harden won this race in 2015 and the good ground will be a plus.

Favourite – Unowhatimeanharry

Value Tip / Bet – Ballyoptic OR Cole Harden

Each Way – Clondaw Warrior OR Shaneshill

Cheltenham Festival Day 3 – 4.10pm – Brown Advisory and Merriebelle Stable Plate Handicap Chase ( Grade 3)

Diamond King won the Coral Cup last year and has only a 1lb difference from last year as Gordon Elliott looks to add to his tally at Cheltenham. Starchitect has won off its current mark and last years County Hurdle winner looks a strong prospect to overturn Baron Alco over this longer trip after losing back at Plumpton. Henryville, who will enjoy the ground, could also go close.

Favourite – Diamond King

Value Tip / Bet – Henryville

Each Way – Starchitect

Here’s our Horse Racing preview for the Cheltenham Festival day 2.

Cheltenham Festival Day 2 – 1.30pm – Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle (Grade 1)

Willie Mullins has 4 in the Neptune, Bacardys being the best of the 4 runners. 3rd in the Champion Bumper last year, Bacardys has been touted to go and win at this longer trip. Harry Fry takes Neon Wolf to the festival and the former points winner has its first run under rules.

Favourite – Neon Wolf
Value Tip / Bet – Bacardys
Each Way – Bon Papa OR Shattered Love

Cheltenham Festival Day 2 – 2.10pm – RSA Novices’ Chase (Grade 1)

A tough race to decide upon a winner but Alpha Des Obeaux has a tentative vote. The 7 year old ran a blinder in the World Hurdle last season, finishing 2nd to Thistlecrack and though disappointing last time out, trainer Mouse Morris explained the horse had bled. Nicky Henderson’s Might Bite will also have a chance, running well on its re appearance at Doncaster last time out.

Favourite – Might Bite
Value Tip / Bet – Alpha Des Obeaux
Each Way – 00 Seven OR Our Kaempfer

Cheltenham Festival Day 2 – 2.50pm – Coral Cup Handicap Hurdle (Grade 3)

Gordon Elliot’s Tombstone leads the market as favourite and was 4th in last year’s Supreme Novices’ Hurdle as well as beating Jezki in a Grade 3. River Frost has a 10lb rise in weights though the Alan king trained horse is running very well and looks as though it will fight out the finish with Tombstone. Willie Mullins has 5 in this race and Tin Soldier heads the line with Ruby Walsh aboard.

Favourite – Tombstone
Value Tip / Bet – River Frost
Each Way – Tin Soldier OR Taquin Du Seuil

Cheltenham Festival Day 2 – 3.30pm – Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase (Grade 1)

All eyes will be on Douvan for the Champion Hurdle as the Willie Mullins trained Gelding looks to make it 14 wins in a row. The 7-year-old looks extremely well treated and in the past 2 years at Cheltenham, has won the Arkle and the Supreme Novices’. God’s Own could be the ‘Without the fave’ bet. The 9-year-old has lost 3 this season but has run well in defeat and looks the best of the rest.

Favourite – Douvan
Value Tip / Bet – God’s Own
Each Way – Sir Valentino OR Fox Norton

Cheltenham Festival Day 2 – 4.10pm – Glenfarclas Chase (Cross Country Chase)

Cantlow didn’t have the best of runs at the venue in January when finishing 2nd but things didn’t fall right for the 12-year-old. Making the running did not suit and the race was a handicap, conditions should suit Enda Bolger’s Gelding. Gordon Elliot’s Cause of Causes could go well and Sausalito Sunrise, trained by Pat Hobbs, takes on a different test but should be capable of running into the places.

Favourite – Cantlow
Value Tip / Bet – Sausalito Sunrise
Each Way – Cause of Causes OR Auvergnat

I’ve been busy working away on new features for the site and am in the process of hiring some new people to come and work for Betalyst so that I can grow the site faster and keep everything up to date as currently it is only me running the site.

One of the new features I am really excited about is something that I’ve given the working title of ‘Betalyst Football Cards’. These are similar to what you might normally see from Horse Racing sites such as Timeform that provide lots of data for a horse race in an easy to comprehend card, helping you make better betting decisions. I am trying to create the same thing for football!

I have now reached a point where I would like to get your feedback before I start to polish the final product ready to make it available to you all every day.

Here you will find my cards for todays games:

https://betalyst.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/betalyst-01-11-2016.pdf

As you will see it is all very basic to look at right now as I focus on getting the best data presented and will look to improve how it looks once I have all your feedback and potentially add more data to them from your requests.

Here is a quick run through of what they contain:

  • 1st line: Fixture – The first brackets contain the Betalyst pick for the match (1×2) – The second brackets contain the Betalyst supremacy score for the game… Positive numbers favour home team, negative numbers favour away team.
  • 2nd line: Has the kick-off time in GMT
  • 3rd line: Has any previous results for this fixture
  • 4th & 5th lines: Show the Both Teams To Score data for the home and away side. The first number being how many of their last 10 games HAD BTTS and the 2nd number being how many DID NOT HAVE BTTS.
  • 6th & 7th lines: Similar to the both teams to score lines, except showing games that went over or under 2.5 goals
  • Next you will find both teams last 6 games and the result of the game. It shows that teams goals first.
  • Finally you have the percentages the Betalyst algorithm has given for the 1×2, over 2.5 goals and BTTS events for that game

As you can see there is a good deal of information on these cards already but I am interested to know what information you might want to see on them that is currently missing?

If you have any ideas at all for how I can make these better, let me know in the comments section below. Or if you want to provide any feedback at all, drop me a comment.

Thanks in advance for all your suggestions and feedback.

A very mixed bag this weekend with some unexpected results that caught many out, including myself. Arsenal failing to beat Middlesbrough at home and PSG failing to beat Marseille, Juventus, Leverkusan and Sporting Lisbon also slipped up this weekend and brought down many accumulators.

We now enter a new week and look to find some value on what looks like a tricky day of betting with few games and some tricky ones to call. I have been through all the days games and picked out my selections..

I am starting in Poland where Ruch host Korona Kielce, a game that the bookies have given the home team a slight advantage in but one that should be tight. It is a meeting of two teams struggling for form, Ruch have lost their last four games and have suffered three straight defeats at home. Korona have also lost their last four and in their two previous away games they lost 6-0 & 4-0. Whilst I think this will be a home win tonight I am not willing to back that selection due to the poor quality of both defences so instead I have decided to take the Both Teams To Score (BTTS) market. Ruch have only kept one clean sheet in their last ten at home and Korona have only one clean sheet in their last ten away from home.

zenitThere are not a lot of obvious shouts for winners today but Zenit to beat Orenburg is certainly the standout game for backing a home win. The odds also reflect this with Zenit as low as 1/4, so there’s not a lot of value there. There is value however in backing Zenit to win with over 2.5 goals in the game that is currently at odds around 4/5. Zenit average 4.33 goals in their home games and we would only need 3 goals and home win to land this one.

Konyaspor host Fenerbahce in Turkey this evening in a game where Fenerbahce look far too short at their price and I would avoid backing them to win this one. I do however like the look of Both Team To Score at odds around 10/11. The last three meetings of this fixture landed BTTS and given that both teams average over a goal per game and Fenerbahce are coming off the back of a 4-1 defeat to Manchester United I think this looks a solid bet.

Sweden is generally a great league to find over 2.5 goals selections as the league has an average goals per game that is a lot higher than the rest of Europe. I have picked two games from Sweden to make up an over 2.5 goals double for today. IFK Gothenburg vs AIK and Djurgaarden vs Joenkoeping both look very solid selections to have three of more goals tonight.

In terms of value picks for today I have two teams that I believe are at longer odds than they should be today. Firstly, Bolton travel to Bury in English League 1 tonight. Bury have suffered four straight defeats, two of which came at home. Bolton on the other hand have started to find their form, winning their last three games, two of those coming away from home. With Bolton currently at odds of 29/20, this stands out as a value pick tonight.

Later on in Brazil I have also found another value pick. America MG are currently bottom of the table and a defeat tonight will all but seal their relegation. However, their opponents tonight Atletico PR are dreadful away from home, losing eight of their last ten away, including defeats to the teams second and third bottom in the table, they have also failed to even score in their last six away. I see no reason not to fancy an America MG win tonight as they fight for their survival. Odds of 17/10 make this a value pick.

Based on the above, here are my Top Tips for today:

Super Single:

Zenit Win + Over 2.5 Goals – Odds: 4/5

BTTS Double:

Ruch vs Korona Kielce + Konyaspor vs Fenerbahce – Odds: 2.43/1

Over 2.5 Goals Double:

IFK Gothenburg vs AIK + Djurgaarden vs Joenkoeping – Odds: 1.96/1

Value Pick 1:

Bolton Win – Odds: 29/20

Value Pick 2:

America MG Win – Odds: 17/10

Over the past couple of months I have been working hard to improve the Betalyst website to make it match the way you all bet.

I have added new sections such as the NAP (Bet of the Day), Daily Double, Over 3.5 Goals and the £10 to £1,000 Challenge.

I have also begun doing Inplay betting tips on the Twitter account to provide tips throughout the day.

You will also notice that the PRO Tips is now only £9.99 a month!

All of these changes and many more were made to the site thanks to all the feedback that you provided in my last feedback survey and I am hoping that you are all enjoying the updates I have made.

I am now ready to start working on some even more exciting stuff for you guys so it would be great to get your feedback again so I can prioritise where to start and add sections to the site that you will all find useful.

Please take a couple of minutes to fill out the form below and let me know how I can help you with your betting in the future.

The Betalyst algorithm has evolved a lot over the past two years in an effort to increase the accuracy of the selections it provides and to help football punters make a consistent profit from their betting.

35000 profit 60 daysOver the past couple of months I have put special attention into the Both Teams To Score games algorithm as I noticed  that these bets tend to have fairly reasonable odds and if you could get an algorithm that could deliver winning tips with an accuracy in the high 80% mark you could make some serious money.

THIS MONTH I CRACKED THE CODE! The algorithm is projected to turn £100 into £35,000+ in just 60 days…

The Betalyst algorithm is now delivering an 88%+ accuracy for its top two both teams to score predictions every day. It does not take a genius to work out that accuracy like that can lead to some very strong profit, in fact based on the data taken since 12/03/2016 when the most recent version of the algorithm went live the projections show it could earn £1,700+ profit in month 1 from a £100 starting balance using a progressive staking system.

Lets dig a little deeper

Here is the data that shows the games that the algorithm has highlighted as it’s top two Both Teams To Score bets for each day since 12/03/2016 – On some days there was only 1 pick or no picks depending on how many games met the criteria to be selected as a tip: (There is a link to this data file at the bottom of this post)

btts-system-matches

As you can see it has correctly predicted 15 of the 17 games correctly, an accuracy percentage of 88.24%, with average odds of 1.68. Not bad at all…

Lets assign some £££ to this:

Lets say you are a punter that likes to put a level £10 bet on every selection, if you had done that for these games you would have made £81.90 profit in 10 days:

btts-system-matches-10-stakes

That is a fairly strong return after just 10 days and would work out close to £240 a month profit if the average odds and accuracy remained the same over a 30 period. You could put that to good use I am sure. If you are a slightly higher stakes roller and you were doing a level £50 bet on every selection your profit after 10 days would be £409, as you can see in the data below:

btts-system-matches-50-stakes

If the accuracy and odds stayed consistent, you would be looking at around £1,600+ profit a month from level £50 stakes.

Progressive Staking Example

I am a big fan of and use a progressive staking system for my betting, this means that my stakes for my days betting are based on a percentage of my total betting balance, for this algorithm I use 25%, as I know there are only a maximum of two selections that I would back every day so the most I can lose in a day is 50% of my betting balance. If you started with a betting balance of £100 at day 1, you would have made £448 profit after 10 days, as you can see below:

btts-system-matches-25%-stakes

The difference with progressive staking is that over time your stakes increase as you win more bets, so your profit increases as well. Using the data from this algorithm, the accuracy to date and the average odds, I modelled the potential profit that could be achieved in a 60 day period. With a starting bank of £100, you could turn that into £35,000+ in just 60 days using the tips from this algorithm and a 25% of balance staking strategy.

You can find all the data that I have shared above in this post in the following Google Sheet, note the tabs at the bottom for each of the staking methods I have explained here and the 60 day projection numbers:

Betalyst BTTS Accuracy Tracker Sheet

You can find the Both Teams To Score Tips that the algorithm produces free on our site here:

Both Teams To Score Betting Tips
