Liverpool vs West Ham United – Match Preview

Liverpool vs West Ham United
Sunday 12th August 2018
FA Premier League, Anfield

Live on Sky Sports Football – Kick-Off: 13:30

Liverpool vs West Ham United kick off the 2018/19 Premier League fixtures at Anfield today.

Both sides have been impressive during the summer so far. Jurgen Klopp’s side have continued their goal scoring antics in the International Champions Cup. Meanwhile, ‘The Hammers’ have been more impressive off the field, with some fantastic signings being made.

Liverpool are clear favourites for the curtain raiser, priced at 1/4 by SkyBet. The Reds are also boasting a fully fit attacking line-up with Daniel Sturridge back in the picture. Mohamed Salah is now recovered from his summer of woe with injury and Egypt’s disappointing World Cup campaign and is the bookmakers favourite to net first at 9/4.

New goalkeeper signing Alisson is likely to make his Premier League debut. Meanwhile new boys Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri and Fabinho will all be hoping to play the opener. The defensive reinforcements give Liverpool a sturdy spine to play with and are priced at EVENS to win to nil.

The new and improved West Ham are priced at a massive 10/1 to open their season with three points. They have also spent very heavily this summer in an attempt to wash away the negativity that has lingered around the club the past couple seasons. Striker Javier Hernandez was on target in his first and West Hams last pre-season match, after returning from this summers World Cup. The Mexican is 11/4 to score anytime.

Andriy Yarmolenko, Robert Snodgrass, Felipe Anderson, Jack Wilshere and Lukasz Fabianski could all make their West Ham league debuts this Sunday, with all eyes on the new recruits. These names have been added to an already strong squad to make the London outfit one of the clubs to look out for this season. They are priced very nicely considering their squad depth. However, this Liverpool side are one of the toughest teams in Europe to face.

This match should be a great spectacle and an exciting sign of things to come for the new season from both clubs.

Liverpool vs West Ham United will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Football with kick-off at 13:30 GMT.

Uruguay vs France – Match Preview

Uruguay vs France
Friday 6th July 2018
FIFA World Cup 2018, Quarter-finals, Nizhny Novgorod Stadium, Nizhny Novgorod

Live on ITV 1 – Kick-Off: 15:00

Uruguay vs France – both nations will lock horns this Friday in the first of four quarter-finals ties of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Neither nations have been at their best for the duration of the competition yet. Uruguay’s strike force of Luis Suarez and Edison Cavani finally seemed to click in their last match. Meanwhile, France’s clinical attack seemed to have now settled, as they ran out 4-3 victors against Argentina in the round of 16.

Uruguay are a very well organised side defensively and seem to have multiple players who cover every blade of grass. This hardworking mentality begins with their first line of defence; the strikers. Barcelona’s Suarez and PSG’s Cavani worked tirelessly in both defence and attack when Uruguay saw off Portugal last round.

SkyBet have gifted us with a price boost for both players. Luis Suarez to score first has been boosted to 6/1 – very nice odds. Whilst Edison Cavani to score a header is 20/1.

On the other side, France will be brimming with confidence after finally illustrating they can score goals. 19-year-old sensation Kylian Mbappe stole headlines with a tidy brace for the French, as Antione Griezmann fired home from the spot and Benjamin Pavard scored with a delightful strike that is sure to be a contender to win goal of the tournament.

Kylian Mbappe was a pleasure to watch in their last outing. His sheer pace was frightening and caused so many issues for Argentina’s defence. He is priced at 11/2 to score first.

France are favourites for the match and are priced at EVENS to win in 90 minutes. Their opponents are priced at 7/2 to cause another upset in a World Cup full of them.

The referee for this encounter will be Nestor Pintana. Neither side have been too familiar with the referee’s pockets however knockout games can get a lot feistier. Pintana has given out 8 yellow cards this world cup in 3 games therefore 20 booking points should be a safe bet – 30 as a maximum.

Prediction: France 3 – 1 Uruguay.

Suggested Tips – Uruguay vs France – (BET365):

Belgium vs Japan – Match Preview

Belgium vs Japan
Monday 2nd July 2018
FIFA World Cup 2018, Round of 16Rostov Arena, Rostov-On-Don

Live on BBC 1 – Kick-Off: 19:00

Belgium vs Japan – The Red Devils enter the game with a perfect record with three wins from three matches. Meanwhile Japan impressed during their first two outings but suffered a 1-0 loss to Poland in the last group stage match. Japan only qualified through FairPlay rules.

Roberto Martinez made nine changes for Belgium’s last group game against England, where they came out 1-0 victors. Adnan Janujaz provided a moment of magic to break the deadlock. Striker Romelu Lukaku was announced not fit to play the match however the injury does not seem too serious. They are sure to line-up with a much stronger eleven and are priced at 2/5 by SkyBet to win the match.

Japan have been the surprise nation at the tournament so far. Nobody expected them to reach this round, however their opening win against Columbia proved crucial to their bid. The Japanese have illustrated their rigid tactics and their clinical nature in attack. Shinji Kagawa and Takashi Inui have been stand-out performers on the counter attack. They enjoy keeping the ball and have managed more possession than their opposition in all their World Cup matches. They are priced at 15/2 to provide a shock.

Eden Hazard has been his usual tricky self so far, using his dribbling ability and low centre of gravity to kick start some devastating attacks for the Belgians. The Chelsea forward is priced at 7/2 to break the deadlock.
Yuya Osaka will be Japan’s best chance at a goal as he will likely spearhead the attack. The FC Koln striker is 10/3 to score anytime.

The referee for this match will be Senegal’s Malang Diedhiou. Neither side have been too abrasive in their style of play but have seen a few cards. Belgium have racked up five yellow cards whilst Japan have seen four. Malang Diedhiou has officiated two games so far this World Cup with an average of 30+ booking points in each.

Belgium vs Japan will be televised live in the UK on BBC 1 with kick off at 19:00.

Suggested Tips – Belgium vs Japan – (SKYBET):

  • Belgium to win 3-0 – 8/1.
  • Pundits RequestABet – Eden Hazard to score first and Belgium to win to nil – 13/2.
    – Hazard is one of the many catalysts in this Belgium team, who look likely to keep a clean sheet.
  • HT/FT – Belgium/Belgium – 11/10.
    – Martinez will want his side to get off to a fast start. Likely to be peppering the Japan goal.
  • RequestABets up to 10/1 – Belgium to win, over 2.5 goals and Lukaku 1+ shots on target & Eden Hazard 1+ shots on target – 13/8. (NAP).
  • Lukaku 3+ shots on target and Inui 2+ shots on target and Ferreira Carrasco 1+ shots on target – 40/1.
