Willie Haggas’s five year old mare should be landing a race of this nature, her fifth in the Darley Stakes alone would be far superior to anything she is taking on this afternoon. Despite her being drawn unfavourably she won this last year off a 2lb higher mark, too good for these.
Godolphin’s Promising Run has the visor re-fitted this afternoon for her all weather debut, she bagged the Group 2 Al Rashidiya at this years Dubai Carnival and is only a 1lb higher for that win, drop in class could do the trick. Pirouette has disappointed me since winning a Listed event out in Germany, however has run behind some likeable types last year in Laugh out Loud and Persuasive, who have both gone on to bigger things this year, she cannot be marked out of this.

This is a very open affair, Des Donovan’s Menelik has been subject to a couple of gambles this year, one coming off and one didn’t, however he has dropped back to only 2lb higher when runner up at Lingfield to a short head off a mark of 77, no 16/1 shot in this and should be on the premises under David Probert.
Gorgeous Noora is a lightly raced filly out of the Luca Cumani camp, fourth on her second start at Kempton when shielding a mark of 81, this could be on the sharp side for her once more as she seems to do most of her best work late on. Gentleman will have to shed top weight here, this horse was seen winning off a mark of 93 last summer, but for some unknown reason has been on a long losing run since and now dropping to a 6lb lower mark, he might struggle, but you never know when Josephine Gordon in the plate.
