The hosts, Peru, enter this friendly match in mixed form; winning two, drawing two and losing two of their last six matches. The latest result was a very impressive home win over South American giants, Uruguay. Peru came from behind with goals from Paolo Guerrero and Edison Flores to win 2-1. Can target-man, Guerrero, strike again for Peru?

The visitors, Paraguay, have not been in fine form as of late. The Paraguayans lost 3-0 to Brazil back in March and more recently were embarrassed by Euro 2016 finalists, France, 5-0. Their defence has been leaking goals for fun recently; in their last six matches, Paraguay have conceded 2.33 goals. Striker, Edgar Benitez, will be Paraguay’s best hope to find a goal against Peru’s defence. The striker plays his club football for Queretaro in Liga MX, and has scored nine international goals in 46 appearances. Can the striker hit double figures for his country?

Day Three 2017 PDC World Cup of Darts

It’s day three of the 2017 PDC World Cup of darts. Yesterday, history was written as World Cup debutants, Brazil, beat Switzerland 5-4 to progress to the second round. Following a competitive, back and forth match of darts, the Brazilians broke into tears in a magical moment in Frankfurt.

World Cup holders, England, cruised through against Gibraltar beating them 5-2. Adrian Lewis and Dave Chisnall look like a pair to be frightened of. Their power scoring is something to admire and is an attribute that should see them go far. England face South Africa in the next round, will they progress and take a step closer to defending their title?

Michael Van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld didn’t find things too difficult either for the Netherlands. The pairing easily pushed aside Czech Republic in a 5-1 win. Netherlands now face USA in the second round. The Dutch are heavy favourites to turn over the Americans, will they treat the Frankfurt crowd to another dominant victory?

Wales face Ireland in what promises to be a tasty encounter. Both teams illustrated great resilience in their round one matches, overcoming awkward opposition. Gerwyn Price will look to continue the red hot form on the trebles after an awe inspiring first round performance against Finland. Mick McGowan will also look to improve upon his impressive first round performance for Ireland. A win for either side would be huge for them, Wales should just tip it as they showed great teamwork and chemistry, unlike many other teams have so far in the World Cup.

The shock team of the first round, Singapore, face up against Spain in the second round. Paul Lim and Harrith Lim both created darting history in the first round, knocking out Scotland’s Gary Anderson and Peter Wright in a rather phenomenal match of darts. 63-year-old, Paul Lim, is representing his third country; Papau New Guinea and USA being the first two. They face a Spain side that scraped through the first round against Japan, in an unconvincing performance, yet solid enough. This one should be an entertaining match, can Singapore continue the fairytale?

Now Real Madrid striker, Alvaro Morata, scored for Juventus and will now be hoping he can beat his old side on Saturday.
