Manchester Utd vs Everton – The Red Devils will be looking to bounce back from their defeat in midweek against Juventus when they take on Everton at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho’s men suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Italian giants on Tuesday thanks to Paulo Dybala’s first-half strike. That left United with four points from their opening three games, whereas Juventus have nine. They’re now embroiled in a two-team battle with Valencia for second spot. If they failed to qualify for the knockout rounds it would only further increase the pressure on Mourinho. Anthony Martial followed up his two goals at Stamford Bridge on Sunday with another eye-catching performance. The Frenchman seems to be finally building some form under Mourinho. This is underlined by the fact Mourinho named an unnamed side against Juventus for the first time in 46 matches. That highlights the lack of consistency at United, and why so many of their players are struggling to build momentum.

Everton recorded a third consecutive win last weekend after beating Crystal Palace 2-0. Two late goals, from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun, sealed the victory for Marco Silva’s side. Everton have struggled for a goal-scoring striker this season, with Richarlison often used in that position. The Brazilian forward certainly has an eye for goal, but is not a natural number nine, at the age of only 21-years-old. Calvert-Lewin, similarly, is still finding his feet as a central striker, whilst Tosun’s form has been hit and miss. Gylfi Sigurdsson has been their main source of goals, alongside Richarlison, highlighting that it is very much an area to be strengthened.

Jonathan Moss is the referee for this game. The Englishman has officiated seven top-flight games this season, accumulating an average of 42.1 booking points this season. As a result, I would recommend a maximum of 60+ booking points for this fixture.

This will be a tough match for United. Everton are on a decent run and do have players that can hurt them on the counter-attack. However, they have improved in recent matches, so I think they will edge a very tight encounter.

Manchester United vs Everton will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event with kick off at 16:00 GMT.

Prediction: Manchester United 2-1 Everton

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal – Match Preview

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal
Sunday 28th
 October 2018
FA Premier League, Selhurst Park

Live on Sky Sports Premier League – Kick-Off: 13:30 GMT

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal: The Gunners will be looking for to extend their 11 games unbeaten run with another victory when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The Gunners grabbed another win in midweek against Sporting Lisbon in midweek. Danny Welbeck’s second-half strike extended their winning run to 11 matches, ensured maximum points in Portugal. Arsenal now have nine points from their opening three matches in the Europa League as they sit top of Group E. In the Premier League, against Leicester on Monday night, Mesut Ozil reminded the home faithful how good he can be. The German scored and played key roles in Arsenal’s second and third goal as they came back from a goal down to win 3-1. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang grabbed a brace off the bench to extend his recent form in front of goal.

Crystal Palace will be looking to address a run of three straight defeats against Arsenal. Roy Hodgson’s side have won just once in their last eight league games. That worrying run has seen the drop to 15th in the Premier League table, two points clear of the bottom three. Last time out they lost 2-0 at Everton, with two late goals costing them a point. Luka Milivojevic missed a crucial penalty with the score at 0-0, which could have seen Palace to take the lead in the game. That missed kick came back to bite them, which will worry Hodgson. Wilfried Zaha aside, Palace are lacking a real threat in front of goal, which is costing them results. Defensively they aren’t too bad; conceding 12 goals in their last eight, but they’ve only scored three times. If Zaha doesn’t score, neither do palace.

Martin Atkinson is the referee for this game. The Englishman has taken charge of nine Championship games this season, accumulating an average booking points total of 35.6. As a result, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this game.

Arsenal have shown no signs of letting up recently and their comeback against Leicester showed they are made of sterner stuff these days. Palace are in rotten form and can’t score for toffee at the moment, so I’m going with an away win.

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League with kick off at 13:30 GMT.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-2 Arsenal

Leeds United vs Nottingham Forest – Match Preview

Leeds United vs Nottingham Forest

SkyBet Championship, Elland Road

Live on Sky Sports Football – Kick-Off: 17:30 GMT

Leeds United vs Nottingham Forest: Leeds will be looking to extend their gap at the top of the Championship when they face fellow top-six rivals Nottingham Forest at Elland Road.

Marco Bielsa’s side bounced back from their 2-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers with 2-0 win over Ipswich Town in midweek. Goals from the returning Kemar Roofe and Liam Cooper sealed a crucial three points. Roofe returned to the side against Blackburn after six weeks out through injury. In that time, Leeds won just twice in nine matches, in all competitions. Like Roofe, Pablo Hernandez has also made his timely return from injury. The Spaniard is crucial to how Bielsa sets up his side, adding much-needed creativity to attacks. With Patrick Bamford also missing, Leeds have lacked a physical presence up front. Tyler Roberts has impressed, but at the tender age of 19, he is still adapting to life in the Championship. Their win in midweek lifted them to the top of the table, although they are level on points with Middlesbrough and Sheffield United.

Nottingham Forest are seventh, two points outside the top six. They bounced back from a 2-1 defeat against Norwich at the weekend with a 2-0 win at Bolton in midweek. Joe Lolley and Lewis Grabban were again on the scoresheet, having impressed in recent weeks. Forest have scored two or more goals in five of their six games, which highlights their eye for goal. Defensively, they are also solid, having kept four clean sheets in their last eight league games. With the league so tight, a run of two or three results can swing a team’s season. Forest have won four of their last seven, which has seen them shoot up the table, as a result.

Geoff Eltringham is the referee for this game. The Englishman has officiated eight games in the second tier, accumulating an average booking points total of 33.1. With that in mind, I would recommend a maximum of 50+ points for this game.

Leeds will be heavily boosted by the return of Roofe and Hernandez, although they are facing an in-form Nottingham Forest side. I think Leeds will edge this game, but I’d expect goals.

Leeds United vs Nottingham Forest will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Football with kick off at 17:30 GMT.
