Qarabag FK vs Arsenal
Thursday 4th October 2018, Azersun Arena
UEFA Europa League – Group E Qualifier

BT Sport 2 – 17:55 GMT.

Qarabag FK vs Arsenal – Arsenal will make the long trip to Azerbaijan to face Qarabag FK in the UEFA Europa League.

Both sides opening matches to the competition faired differently. The hosts lost 2-0 against Sporting whilst Arsenal beat Vorskla 4-2.

Unai Emery will be targeting a long run in this competition as domestically success could be difficult in his first season in charge. His side are priced at 4/9 by SkyBet to double their points tally in Group E. Their last outing saw them face Watford in the Premier League, where they won 2-0 with two late goals. Mesut Ozil scored the second and is 9/4 to score anytime this Thursday. Alexandre Lacazette has also improved under Emery’s management and is likely to start up front and is priced at 3/1 to break the deadlock.

Arsenal showed they are still frail at the back as they conceded twice against Vorskla. Arsenal to win and both teams to score is 9/4 – a tempting market. The London club will not travel with attacker Henrik Mkhitaryan due to continued tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Qarabag FK are priced at 13/2 to shock the bookmakers and pull off a home victory. The Azerbaijan club are currently top of the Azerbaijan Premier League with five wins and one draw from six matches. Striker Innocent Emeghara will spearhead the hosts attack and has already racked up four goals in the league. The Swiss attacker is Qarabag’s best chance at opening their Europa League account at 3/1 to score anytime.

They have managed nine goals in their last three outings so enter the match in form in front of goal. For the hosts to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 it is priced at 15/2.

The referee for this match will be Davide Massa. Don’t expect too many cards in this match however it is likely that Qarabag will more likely end up with more booking points.

Qarabag FK vs Arsenal will be televised on BT Sport 2 and will kick off at 17:55.

Prediction: Qarabag FK 0 – 3  Arsenal

Arsenal have far too much quality in attacking areas. Should be a routine victory.

Match Betting Preview - Chelsea vs MOL Vidi FC. Thursday 4th October 2018, UEFA Europa League - Group L Qualifier, Stamford Bridge. Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Chelsea vs MOL Vidi FC
Thursday 4th October 2018, Stamford Bridge
UEFA Europa League – Group L Qualifier

BT Sport 2 – 20:00 GMT.

Chelsea vs MOL Vidi FC – Chelsea face Hungarian Champions MOL Vidi FC looking to continue their solid showing to the Europa League.

It has been a very strong start to the season for Chelsea and new manager Mauricio Sarri. The Blues raced off to five consecutive Premier League victories and also won 1-0 at PAOK in this competition.

An uninspired draw against West Ham was a touch disappointing, before rectifying it with a comeback victory against Liverpool at Anfield in the Carabao Cup. The two sides met again in the league last weekend. Chelsea performed well with on-fire Eden Hazard netting, before conceding late to a Daniel Sturridge wondergoal in a 1-1 draw.

This puts Chelsea into third place with an undefeated start, racking up five victories from their first seven. Liverpool and Manchester City are marginally ahead, with six wins and a draw apiece.

Whilst the Europa League can often seem like a distraction, Chelsea should have the tools to successfully navigate it. More wins can bring more confidence and the squad seems perfectly capable of doing so.

The second matchday brings the challenge of Hungarian Champions MOL Vidi FC (recently changed from Videoton FC). The disparity between the two teams is obvious, but manager Marko Nikolic will be hoping for a legendary scalp. The like of which is common practice in the Europa League.

Vidi are coming off the back of a battling 1-0 win at 11th place (out of 12) Diosygor. Nikolic’s side are in 3rd, eight points off the pace in defending their crown, but with a game in hand. Only four wins from the first eight games spell a mixed start to the season, to say the least.

Chelsea’ inspired by Hazard’s sensational early season-form, will likely prove much too strong. Bate Borisov are the other Group L opponents, who also secured a 2-0 win against Vidi in matchday one. Chelsea should prove too strong for this group in general, wanting to secure qualification as quickly as possible.

The referee for this one will be Miroslav Zelinka, of the Czech Republic. Zelinka has officiated two Europa League qualifying matches this season, giving a huge 15 yellow cards out in the process. With Chelsea having a very good disciplinary record this term and will be the team undoubtedly on the front foot, they may be safe from that level of punishment. The opposite could be true for Vidi, however.

Despite the almost certain changes to the team after tough back-to-back ventures against Liverpool, perhaps even the imperious Hazard, Chelsea will surely continue their good form and swat away Vidi. It would take something remarkable for the outcome to be anything otherwise.

Chelsea vs MOL Vidi FC will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 3 with kick off at 20:00 GMT.

Match Betting Preview - Napoli vs Liverpool. Wednesday 3rd October 2018, UEFA Champions League - Group C Qualifier, Stadio Sao Paolo. Live on BT Sport 3 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Napoli vs Liverpool
Wednesday 3rd October 2018, Stadio Sao Paolo
UEFA Champions League – Group C Qualifier

BT Sport 3 – 20:00 GMT

Napoli vs Liverpool: Liverpool will be looking to follow up on their dramatic 3-2 win over PSG last time out when they face Napoli in their second Champions League group game.

The Reds made the perfect start to their new European campaign as they beat PSG 3-2 thanks to a 90th-minute Roberto Firmino strike. That win has given Liverpool some early breathing room in Group C. With such a tough group, it is vital Jurgen Klopp’s side make the most of home advantage. Now they face a trip to Napoli, one of the toughest away trips in Europe. Liverpool, however, are in their best form since Klopp arrived at Anfield. They remain unbeaten in the Premier League, after Daniel Sturridge’s sublime 88th-minute equaliser at Stamford Bridge at the weekend. That draw did see them drop to second, but they’re only behind Manchester City on goal difference.

Sturridge has proven he can be a valuable asset to the Reds this season. With so many games, the Englishman will be needed to contribute from the bench. He started and scored in their win against PSG, proving he is still capable of causing problems on the biggest stage. There has never been any question over his ability, but injuries have hampered his progress over the last three seasons. Now, he seems to be rediscovering his groove, which can only be a good thing for Liverpool and England supporters.

Napoli were held to a 0-0 draw with Red Star Belgrade in their opening match in Group C. Carlo Ancelotti’s side have continued their winning form from last season in Serie A, however. They currently sit in second place, with 15 points from their opening seven games. Napoli are already six points behind Juventus, but having lost Maurizio Sarri and Jorgino in the summer, it’s fair to say they are performing well. They have won three of their last five games in all competition, with last Saturday’s defeat to Juventus their only blip.

Viktor Kassai is the referee for this game. The Hungarian has plenty of experience in Europe, having officiated three group games last season, including Liverpool’s game against Maribor. He has an average card total of 4.61 across 144 international games. Therefore, I would advise a maximum total of 60+ points for this fixture.

Liverpool have endured a tough run of fixtures with more to come. They’ve played Chelsea twice in a week and host Manchester City on Sunday. As a result, I think this game will end in a draw, which would still be a positive result for Klopp’s men.

Napoli vs Liverpool will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 3 with kick-off at 20:00 GMT.

Prediction: Napoli 1-1 Liverpool

Suggested Tips – Napoli vs Liverpool – (BET365)

  • Correct Score – 1-1 Draw – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Napoli vs Liverpool – (SKYBET)

  • First Goalscorer – Roberto Firminho – 11/2.

  • Both Players to score – Dries Mertens and Sadio Mane – 8/1.

Match Betting Preview - Tottenham Hotspur vs Barcelona. Wednesday 3rd October 2018, UEFA Champions League - Group H Qualifier, Wembley Stadium. Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Barcelona
Wednesday 3rd October 2018, Wembley
UEFA Champions League – Group B Qualifier

BT Sport 2 – 20:00 GMT

Tottenham will face European giants Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League this Wednesday.

Both clubs will be hoping for a glamorous European campaign alongside their gruelling domestic requirements. Spurs are in desperate need of an addition to their trophy cabinet whilst Barcelona need bragging rights over three-year consecutive winners Real Madrid.

The hosts are priced at 12/5 to win by SkyBet. Mauricio Pochettino managed a surprisingly promising group stage finish in last season’s Champions League. Spurs topped a group with Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in – so don’t write their off as a giant slayer.

You won’t need telling twice that Harry Kane will have all eyes on him this Wednesday. The 2018 World Cup Golden Boot winner is priced at 4/1 to break the deadlock – an incredibly tempting price if you are expecting an upset.

The visitors are priced at EVENS to get their Champions League off to a flyer. They are top of La Liga with 14 points from 7 matches. The Catalonian outfit are yet to assert their dominance much this season but how can you contain a team with Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele as a front three?

The Argentinian is 11/4 to score a brace. Messi has illustrated his class from all areas of the pitch and is a threat from open play or set pieces. Barcelona have only conceded eight goals in their seven league matches and are priced at 7/2 to win to nil. A risky market however could turn a nice profit.

The man in the middle of Wembley will be Polish referee Szymon Marciniak. Neither side have a reputation for racking up the cards however Champions League encounters can see blood rush to the head.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Barcelona will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 2 and kicks off at 20:00 GMT.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Barcelona

– It’s tough to split these two on the European stage. Tottenham are a tough side for anyone to beat, however how can you not expect Barcelona to score.

Match Betting Preview - Manchester United vs Valencia. Tuesday 2nd October 2018, UEFA Champions League - Group H Qualifier, Old Trafford. Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Manchester United vs Valencia
Tuesday 2nd October 2018, Old Trafford
UEFA Champions League – Group H Qualifier

BT Sport 2 – 20:00 GMT

Manchester United vs Valencia: Manchester United host Valencia at Old Trafford looking to return to winning ways by extending their unbeaten start in the Champions League.

Jose Mourinho’s side crashed to yet another damaging defeat at the weekend, this time losing 3-1 to West Ham. That leaves the club with just one win inform games; with their last victory coming in this competition. The United boss made some big selections decisions, leaving both Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard out of their 18. The Chilean has struggled for form since his move from Arsenal last January; he’s a shadow of the player he was for the Gunners. Sanchez, like United, seems to lack any rhythm or understanding to his play at the moment, which typified where the club are.

Mourinho’s side have an identity crisis, which is not something you usually say about his side. Granted, the Portuguese’s philosophy is contrasting to United’s of old, but they aren’t even looking like a Mourinho side currently. Defensively, they are a shambles. Even though Mourinho was desperate for a centre back in the summer, they should be performing better than they are currently. He has already spent over £50M on CBs, as he brought Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly to the club, who have both flattered to deceive.

Valencia will be desperate to pick up a result in Manchester, having lost their opening games 2-0 to Juventus. In the league, they are unbeaten in five, although they won just one of those games. They currently sit in 14th place, with only eight points from seven games, leaving them four points behind the top four. Their main issue has been scoring goals, they’ve only conceded six in those seven matches, but notched only six. Rodrigo Moreno was their main supply of goals last year with 20, however, he has just one this season, which was six matches ago.

Slavko Vincic the referee for this game. The Slovenian took charge of Burnley’s Europa League tie with Olympiacos earlier this season and officiated two Champions League games last season. In 160 international matches, he has an average of 3.85 cards per game. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

The one silver lining for United is that Valencia are in just as poor form as them. As a result, this offers them a fantastic opportunity to turn their season around and grab a second Champions League win in as many games.

Manchester United vs Valencia will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 2 with kick-off at 20:00 GMT.

Prediction: Manchester United 2-1 Valencia

Match Betting Preview - Hoffenheim vs Manchester City. Tuesday 2nd October 2018, UEFA Champions League - Group F Qualifier, Rhein-Neckar Arena. Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 17:55 GMT.

Hoffenheim vs Manchester City
Tuesday 2nd October 2018, Rhein-Neckar Arena
UEFA Champions League – Group F Qualifier

BT Sport 2 – 17:55 GMT

Hoffenheim vs Manchester City: Manchester City will be desperate to open their Champions League account for the season after a surprising defeat against Lyon when they take on Hoffenheim.

The champions of England got off to a horrible start in group F, losing 2-1 to Lyon on matchday one. The French side were fully deserving of the win and became only the second side to beat City at home in this competition under Pep Guardiola. In the league, however, things have been much smoother for City. They moved level on points with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League at the weekend, following a comprehensive 2-0 win over Brighton.

Raheem Sterling was in the thick of the action, scoring the first before supplying Sergio Aguero with a telling assist for their second. The Englishman has been in fine form this season, picking up from his best-ever goalscoring campaign last year. Guardiola will also be buoyed by the new Kevin De Bruyne is set to resume training after knee ligament damage, although be a few weeks before he returns to match action. The most impressive stat behind City’s unbeaten start is that they have only conceded three goals. Alongside Liverpool, they have the best record in the division.

Hoffenheim drew their opening Champions League match 2-2 with Shakhtar Donetsk. Former West Ham defender Havard Nordtveit was on the scoresheet as they twice surrendered the lead and claimed just a point. In the Bundesliga, they’ve struggled this year, collecting just seven points from six league matches. Leaking goals has been their issue, with ten conceded and ten scored so far. At the weekend, they were beaten 2-1 at home by Red Bull Leipzig, which condemned them to their third defeat of the league campaign.

Damir Skomina the referee for this game. The Slovenian took charge of England’s group stage game against Belgium during the World Cup, as well as Liverpool’s semi-final tie against Roma in the last season’s competition. In 148 international matches, he has an average of 4.11 cards per game. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

Given their defeat last time out, Guardiola will be desperate for City to win this game. It won’t be easy against a tricky opponent, but their loss in the first game makes me even more confident they won’t underestimate their German counterparts. As a result, I’m going for a City win.

Hoffenheim vs Manchester City will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 2 with kick-off being early evening at 17:55 GMT.

Prediction: Hoffenheim 0-2 Manchester City

Suggested Tips – Hoffenheim vs Manchester City – (BET365)

  • Correct score: Manchester City to win 2-0 – 8/1.

Suggested Tips – Hoffenheim vs Manchester City – (SKYBET)

  • Sterling to score first – 5/1.
  • Sane and Jesus to both score – 11/2.
  • City to win by exactly two goals – 10/3.

Match Betting Preview - Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace. Monday 1st September 2018, FA Premier League, The Vitality Stadium. Live on Sky Sports Football – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace
Monday 1st
 October 2018
FA Premier League, The Vitality Stadium

Live on Sky Sports Premier League – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT

Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace: Bournemouth take on Crystal Palace with both sides looking to return to winning ways after dropping points last weekend.

Bournemouth suffered a crushing defeat at Turf Moore as they lost 4-0 to Burnley. This proved to be a shock result, following their fantastic start to the season. Eddie Howe’s side sit in eighth after six games, with ten points. At this stage last year, Bournemouth were in the bottom three, after making a terrible start to the season. This time around they haven’t made the same mistake, which allows Howe the luxury of tinkering with his side. He will want a reaction from his side though, after such a heavy defeat last weekend. They did return to winning ways in the Carabao Cup in midweek, defeating Blackburn 3-2. Callum Wilson secured the win for the Cherries with a 94th-minute winner, which moves them safely into the fourth round.

Like Bournemouth, Crystal Palace have enjoyed a solid start the new season after struggling at the start of last season. Roy Hodgson’s side have collected seven points from their opening fixtures, which leaves them in 11th. Last time out, they drew 0-0 at home to Newcastle, in a match they should have really won. Palace also secured their route into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup in midweek with a 3-0 win at West Brom. Hodgson will have been pleased to secure their status in round four, but also get one over on his former employers. Andros Townsend opened his account for the season with a brace, before Patrick van Aanholt sealed a routine win.

Mike Dean is the referee for Monday night’s clash. The Englishman has officiated four top-flight matches this season, accumulating an average booking points total of 42.5. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 60+ total points for this fixture.

Both these teams are better offensively than defensively, which should make for a great game. Bournemouth have impressed me so far this year, particularly on home soil. As a result, I’m going to back them to edge this match, although it could easily end in a draw.

Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League with kick-off at 8PM.

Prediction: Bournemouth 2-1 Crystal Palace

Suggested Tips – Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace – (BET365)

  • Popular RequestABet – Bournemouth to win, BTTS, 4+ corners each team and 50+ match booking pts – 14/1.  (NAP).
  • RequestABet Specials – 80/1 and above – Wilson & Townsend to score, 3+ corners each team and Lerma & Rico to be carded – 125/1.
