Liverpool vs Leicester City
Wedne
sday 30th January 2019
FA Premier League, Anfield

Live on BT Sport 1 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT

Liverpool vs Leicester: Liverpool will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to seven points when they take on Claude Puel’s Leicester City at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s side enjoyed a weekend’s rest after crashing out of the FA Cup in the third round against Wolves. Despite that break, the Reds are expected to be without Virgil van Dijk, who will miss the game through illness. It will be the first game the Dutch defender has missed in the Premier League season, having been an ever-present this campaign. The Reds won their last outing 4-3 against Crystal Palace, coming back from behind. That display is the first real signs of cracks in Liverpool’s defence, which could be a concern, especially with van Dijk missing. With City losing to Newcastle on Tuesday night, Liverpool’s lead remained at four points. This game, therefore, gives the Reds a chance to move six points clear – an opportunity they won’t want to miss.

Puel comes into this game under pressure, after a run of just three wins in 11 games. They will be hoping to benefit from a weekend off, after losing to Newport in FA Cup third round. Last time out, they lost 4-3 to Wolves in a dramatic encounter. Despite coming from behind three times, Leicester were unable to take a point from the match, which will worry Puel. That result did nothing to help Puel’s popularity amongst the Foxes’ supporters, who seem to be adamant it’s time for a change. With Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham all up in Leicester’s next three games, it could turn out to be make or break for the Frenchman.

Martin Atkinson is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 14 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 33.9. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

Liverpool will be desperate to take advantage of City dropping points, which makes it even more likely they will win. I can’t see Klopp’s side letting up, with a seven-point lead at stake. Therefore, I’m back the Reds for three points.

Liverpool vs Leicester City will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 1 with kick-off at 20:00 GMT.

Prediction: Liverpool 3-0 Leicester City

Live on Sky Sports Football HD – Kick-Off: 19:45 GMT

Swansea City will play host to Birmingham City in SkyBet Championship action this Tuesday night.

Garry Monk will manage once again against his former side, who he managed a 0-0 draw with earlier in the season. There is just one point separating the two sides who are both looking to apply pressure on the top six.

Swansea City are slight favourites for this bout and are priced at 11/10 to win the match. Graham Potter’s side will be happy with the progress made this season with many personnel changes over the summer. No player has shone more in his side than striker Oliver McBurnie. The young Scot is in hot scoring form with 5 goals in his last 3 matches in all competitions. He has 11 goals in the league and is 4/1 to score first on Tuesday.

The Swans have scored a total of 13 goals in their last five matches and conceded just four. They are 5/2 to win to nil.

Birmingham are priced at 13/5 to win the match and leapfrog their opponents in the league standings. Garry Monk’s side have been a difficult side to face this season. They are a rigid defensive outfit that is hard to break down however much of their success is due to the striker partnership. Che Adams and Lukas Jutkiewicz have 24 goals and 12 assists between them. Adams is catching the eye of Premier League sides 3 in his last four games. He is 19/10 to score anytime.

The Blues have conceded eight goals in their last four matches and have failed to win in five. They will struggle to keep the inform Swansea attack at bay however have won many matches when conceding. They are 6/1 to win and both teams to score.

The referee for this match will be Stephen Martin. The official has averaged 28.2 booking points in his 9 Championship matches in charge.

Match Betting Preview - Newcastle United vs Manchester City. Tuesday 29th January 2019, FA Premier League, St James Park'. Live on BT Sport 1 - Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Newcastle United vs Manchester City
Tuesday 29th January 2019
FA Premier League, St James’ Park

Live on BT Sport 1 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT

Premier League strugglers Newcastle United will play host to inform Manchester City this Tuesday night.

Rafa Benitez’ side are currently in the midst of a relegation dogfight however gave themselves a lifeline as they beat Cardiff 3-0 in their last match. Meanwhile, City are in incredible form with 8 wins in a row and 28 unanswered goals across their last five matches.

Newcastle are priced at a huge 12/1 by SkyBet to win this match. The home side will be in high spirits after their 3-0 win over Cardiff. Amazingly Fabien Schar managed two goals from centre back however Salomon Rondon continued to impress in a white and black shirt. The Ecuadorian has five goals this season and his physical presence has thoroughly improved the Newcastle attack. He is 13/5 to score anytime.

Whilst Newcastle have performed poorly this campaign, their defence has been well organised and rigid. They have conceded 31 goals in 23 matches. They aren’t likely to keep their visitors quiet however and are 25/1 to pull off a miracle and win with both teams scoring.

Manchester City are the clear favourites and are fancied at 2/11 by SkyBet. As mentioned, Pep Guardiola’s side are back to being feared and have managed a staggering 28 unanswered goals. The whole attack seems to be clicking and the introduction of Kevin De Bruyne is another big boost. The Belgian is price boosted at 9/1 to score outside the area. Gabriel Jesus has also been in red hot form with 8 goals in his last 5 appearances. He is 16/5 to open the scoring.

City have had six clean sheets in a row. Newcastle possess very little attacking threat and the visitors seem likely to make it seven in a row. They are 10/11 to win to nil.

The referee for this match will be Paul Tierney. The official averaged 30 booking points in his one and only Premier League match this season. Newcastle have averaged 18.2 booking points per match whereas City have averaged just 9.4.

Newcastle United vs Manchester City will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 1 and kicks off at 20:00.

Prediction: Newcastle United 0 – 4 Manchester City

– I expect more rampant scoring from the visitors.

Suggested Tips – Newcastle United vs Manchester City – (BET365):

  • Correct score: Manchester City to win 4-0 – (link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Gabriel Jesus – (link no longer available).

Match Betting Preview - Barnet vs Brentford. Monday 28th January 2019, FA Cup Fourth Round, The Hive. Live on BT Sport 1 - Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Barnet vs Brentford
Monday 28th January 2019
FA Cup – Fourth Round, The Hive

Live on BT Sport 1 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT

Barnet vs Brentford: The two Bees meet at the Hive as non-league Barnet look to cause another FA Cup upset when they host Championship side Brentford on Monday night.

Barnet caused one of the biggest shocks of the FA Cup third round, knocking out Sheffield United with a 1-0 win at Bramall Lane. It was one of the least predicted shocks as the Championship high-flyers were comfortably dispatched by the non-league outfit. Since beating the Blades, Barnet have won one and lost one, which has been the story of their season to date. The Bees are marooned in mid-table obscurity in 16th position. They are six points above the four-team drop zone and 14 points off the play-offs. There is no doubt that further FA Cup success would be the highlight of their season, so they will be hoping lightning can strike twice against another second-tier opponent. Barnet are unbeaten in their last five home games in all competitions, which could stand them in good stead.

Brentford come into this tie after beating League One outfit Oxford United in the third round. Since then, the Bees have won back-to-back league games for the first time under Thomas Frank which has seen them pull clear of the relegation battle. The rest of the campaign will be about solidifying their league position, similarly to their opponents. As a result, I’d expect to see a strong Brentford side, who will take nothing for granted having seen the Sheffield United beaten in the last round. Said Benrahma has been in fine form lately and has scored in his last two games. Brentford are unbeaten in their last seven matches in all competitions, which includes their last three away games.

Andrew Madley is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 14 Championship matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 27.5. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 40+ total points for this fixture.

Whilst Brentford have had an upturn in form lately, Barnet will fancy they can cause an upset. I think this one might end in a draw, with a replay needed to separate the two outfits.

Barnet vs Brentford will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 1 with kick-off at 20:00 GMT.

Prediction: Barnet 1-1 Brentford

Suggested Tips – Barnet vs Brentford – (BET365):

  • Correct score:  Draw 1-1 – (link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Neal Maupay – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Barnet vs Brentford – (SKYBET):

  • Correct Score Group Betting – Brentford to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 – 6/4.
  • Both Player to Score – Shaquile Coulthirst and Said Benrahma – 12/1.
  • RequestABet Specials 11/1 to 28/1 – BTTS, 4+ corners each team and 20+ booking points each team – 14/1.
  • Popular RequestABet – Over 1.5 goals, 3+ Barnet corners, 5+ Brentford corners and 10+ booking points each team – 11/10. (NAP).

Match Betting Preview - Chelsea vs Sheffield Wednesday. Sunday 27th January 2019, FA Cup Fourth Round, Stamford Bridge. Live on BBC One - Kick-Off: 18:00 GMT.

Chelsea vs Sheffield Wednesday
Sunday 27th January 2019
FA Cup – Fourth Round, Stamford Bridge

Live on BBC One – Kick-Off: 18:00 GMT

Chelsea will host Sheffield Wednesday in FA Cup fourth round action. The hosts are in high spirits after cup success during the week.

Their victory over Spurs on penalties in the EFL Cup has seen them progress to the final of the competition. Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday are also in good form as they have won their previous two encounters 1-0. Chelsea beat Nottingham Forest in the third round whilst Sheffield Wednesday needed a replay to settle the score with Luton. The hosts are heavy favourites to win the match and SkyBet are offering 1/4 for them to win.

Chelsea’s form has been mixed in recent weeks however their last match they proved they can get over the line in a tough situation. They have also had some good news with the recruitment of striker Gonzalo Higuaín, however is inclusion is still unsure.

Olivier Giroud is a likely choice to spearhead the attack and is 7/2 to score first. Sarri’s side have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three matches in all competitions. They are priced at 13/8 to win and for both teams to score. The Championship side are priced at a huge 10/1 to pull off a historical victory.

Wednesday are on the up domestically and have lost just one of their last eight matches in all competitions. Detrimental to their upward spike in form has been attacker Lucas Joao. The Portuguese has scored 8 league goals and is an effective target man. He is priced at 10/3 to score anytime.

Wednesday are going to have a tough time trying to deal with whatever side Sarri plays. However, their form would suggest there will be an air of confidence heading into this one. They are priced at 20/1 to win and both teams to score.

The referee for this match will be Andre Marriner. The official has not been too lenient with the cards in his officiating of Premier League sides. The Englishman has averaged a total of 32.3 booking points in his 13 Premier League matches.

Chelsea vs Sheffield Wednesday will be televised on BBC One and BBC One HD and kicks off at 18:00.

Prediction: Chelsea 2 – 0 Sheffield Wednesday
– Some personnel changes expected but it shouldn’t halt Chelsea’s routine victory.

Suggested Tips – Chelsea vs Sheffield Wednesday – (BET365):

  • Correct score:  Chelsea Win 2-0 – [(link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Oliver Giroud – (link no longer available).
  • To win by nil – Chelsea – (link no longer available).

Match Betting Preview - Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Hotspur. Sunday 27th January 2019, FA Cup Fourth Round, Selhurst Park. Live on BT Sport 2 - Kick-Off: 16:00 GMT.

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Hotspur
Sunday 27th January 2019
FA Cup – Fourth Round, Selhurst Park

Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 16:00 GMT

The FA Cup fourth round has treated us to an all Premier League affair as Crystal Palace host Spurs.

The London derby will see two clubs whose league campaigns have fared rather differently so far. The hosts are currently 14th and checking their shoulders to avoid a relegation scrap meanwhile the visitors are pressuring the top two in 3rd place.

Both sides were fortunate to have rather easy third round draws. Crystal Palace saw off Grimsby whilst Tottenham thrashed Tranmere 7-0.

Crystal Palace are priced at 7/4 to win by SkyBet. The home side enter the match on the back of an incredible match with Liverpool in the Premier League. They lost 4-3 however have showcased in recent months their ability to battle with the best. Whilst goals have come at a premium for Roy Hodgson’s side, one man has been a reliable source of goals from the midfield. Luka Milivojevic has scored six goals for Palace in the league this season and is a threat from any set piece situation. He could be the key and is 12/5 top score anytime.

This match will be on a knife edge. The home side will feel confident in a victory being possible due to their opponent’s injury issues. SkyBet have priced Crystal Palace to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 at a tempting 11/4.

Tottenham are priced at 6/4 to win by SkyBet, who are struggling to decide a favourite. Spurs have been riddled with injuries and absentees in every position they wouldn’t have wanted. Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Hueng-Min Son, Lucas Moura, Victor Wanyama and Moussa Sissoko are all unavailable for the match. With the injury crisis, pressure is now on Fernando Llorente to deliver the goods. The Spaniard bagged a hattrick in their last FA Cup match and is 9/2 to score first.

It could be a tough match to get the upper hand in and one moment could settle the odds. Spurs are priced at a tempting 7/2 to win to nil.

During the Premier League season, Crystal Palace have been the more abrasive of the two sides. They have averaged 19.1 booking points per match whilst Spurs have only averaged 13.8.

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Hotspur will be televised on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport 4K UHD and kicks off at 16:00.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1 – 0 Tottenham Hotspur

It will be tight and tense however a win would mean more for the hosts than the visitors.

Suggested Tips – Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Hotspur – (BET365):

  • Correct score:  Crystal Palace Win 1-0 – (link no longer available).
  • Anytime Goalscorer – Luka Milovojevic – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Hotspur – (SKYBET):

  • Correct Score Group Betting – Crystal Palace to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 – 11/4.
  • Price Boost – Fernando Llorente to score a header – 11/2.
  • Popular RequestABet – Eriksen to score from outside the area and Crystal Palace to score a penalty 100/1.

Match Betting Preview - AFC Wimbledon vs West Ham United. Saturday 26th January 2019, FA Cup Fourth Round, Kingsmeadow. Live on BT Sport 2 - Kick-Off: 19:45 GMT.

AFC Wimbledon vs West Ham United Saturday 26th January 2019 FA Cup – Fourth Round, Kingsmeadow

Live on BBC One – Kick-Off: 19:45 GMT

AFC Wimbledon will host London rivals West Ham United in the fourth round of the FA Cup this Saturday. Two divisions divide these opponents as the hosts are currently rock bottom of League One. Meanwhile West Ham are sitting comfortably midtable in the Premier League. Wimbledon saw off Fleetwood in a 3-2 victory to advance to the fourth round whilst the visitors made lightwork of Championship side Birmingham City in the third round. AFC Wimbledon are priced at 11/2 by SkyBet to pull off a historic victory this weekend. The League One outfit have not fared too well in January with one win from five matches. Whilst relegation to League Two looms, they will be hoping a cup run can raise spirits. The main issue for the hosts has been scoring goals, with Joe Pigott their highest scorer this season with five in the league. He is 14/5 to score anytime. It seems very unlikely that Wimbledon will be able to withstand the Premier League attack, however this does not mean they cannot win the match. There are priced at 12/1 to win and both teams to score. West Ham are the favourites for this draw and are priced at 1/2 by SkyBet. The Hammers enter this match on the back end of a 2-0 loss to Bournemouth in their league campaign. However, it is unlikely that the same line-up will feature this time around. Striker Andy Carroll has worked his way back into the side and managed to bag a goal in their last round match against Birmingham. He is priced at 10/3 to score first. The visitors have kept two clean sheets in their last three matches in all competitions and both teams have scored in just one of their last five outings. SkyBet have priced them at 11/8 to win to nil. The home side have an incredibly well-disciplined record this season in League One with an average of just 11.5 booking points per match. Meanwhile, expect a few cards for West Ham who are averaging 21.5 cards per league match. AFC Wimbledon vs West Ham United will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport 4K UHD and kicks off at 19:45. Prediction: AFC Wimbledon 0 – 3 West Ham United – The visitors should see off their out of form opposition with ease.

Suggested Tips – AFC Wimbledon vs West Ham United – (BET365):

  • Correct score:  West Ham Win 3-0 – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – AFC Wimbledon vs West Ham United – (SKYBET):

  • First Goalscorer – Andy Caroll – 4/1.
  • To Win By Nil – West Ham United – 11/8

Match Betting Preview - Millwall vs Everton. Saturday 26th January 2019, FA Cup Fourth Round, The New Den. Live on BBC One - Kick-Off: 17:30 GMT.

Millwall vs Everton
Saturday 26th January 2019
FA Cup – Fourth Round, The New Den

Live on BBC One – Kick-Off: 17:30 GMT

Millwall vs Everton: Everton will be hoping to a shock defeat in the fourth round of the FA Cup when they take on Championship outfit Millwall at the New Den.

Toffees’ boss Marco Silva finds himself under a little bit of pressure heading into this tie. Everton lost 2-1 at struggling Southampton at the weekend and have only won two of their last ten league games. They sit 11th in the table as a result, 11 points clear of the relegation zone. Having spent big money on Richarlison, Andre Gomes, Yerry Mina and Luca Digne in the summer, Silva is starting to feel the heat at Goodison Park. The Toffees are crying out for a centre forward, with Cenk Tosun out of favour and Dominic Calvert-Lewin still just 21 years old. Even so, Everton’s overall play has been lacking recently, which could be down to confidence. They defeated Lincoln in the last round of this competition 2-1 – although even that was an unconvincing scoreline. Silva will be hoping to avoid defeat away at what looks like a potential banana-skin tie.

Millwall have struggled to match their success of last season. They sit 19th in the Championship, six points clear of the relegation zone. The Lions’ strong form last season was built around their impressive home form, although they have struggled a little more this season on home turf. Neil Harris’ side have lost just once in their last five at home in all competitions – a run that includes beating Hull City 2-1 in the last round. The New Den is not an easy place for any side to travel to, so Millwall will be hoping to take advantage of Everton’s dip in confidence and claim a famous FA Cup scalp.

Martin Atkinson is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 14 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 33.9. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

Everton could really benefit from a cup run this season, with their league campaign dwindling. A confident, assured performance here would help lift the pressure off Silva. Millwall won’t make it easy for them, but I fancy that the Premier League side will have enough to make it through to the fifth round.

Millwall vs Everton will be televised live in the UK on BBC 1 with kick-off at 17:30 GMT.

Prediction: Millwall 1-3 Everton

Suggested Tips – Millwall vs Everton – (BET365):

  • Correct score:  Everton Win 3-1 – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Millwall vs Everton – (SKYBET):

  • First Goalscorer – Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 4/1.
  • Scorecast – Morison to score first and Millwall to win 1-0 – 70/1
  • Both Players to score – Richarlison & Ademola  Lookman – 9/1
  • Price Boost – Gylfi Sigurdsson to score from outside the penalty area – 7/1.
  • Popular RequestABet – Mina to score a header and Sigurdsson to score from outside the area – 125/1.
  • Popular RequestABet – Everton to win, BTTS, 4+ corners each team and 20+ booking points each team – 18/1.

Match Betting Preview - Accrington Stanley vs Derby County. Saturday 26th January 2019, FA Cup Fourth Round, Crown Ground. Live on BT Sport 2 - Kick-Off: 12:30 GMT.

Accrington Stanley vs Derby County
Saturday 26th January 2019
FA Cup – Fourth Round, Crown Ground

Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 12:30 GMT

Accrington Stanley vs Derby County:  The Rams take a trip to the Crown Ground to face League One Accrington Stanley hoping to avoid a FA Cup giant-killing.

Derby beat Premier League outfit Southampton in a replay in the second round, having come back from two goals down in both legs to win on penalties. Lampard’s side also backed that up with an important 2-1 win over Reading at Pride Park on Saturday, to solidify their spot in the top six. Derby have also added Ashley Cole to bolster their defensive options at the back, which is an interesting mood. Lampard knows Cole better than anyone but having spent the last four years in MLS, it will be interesting to see how he copes with life in the Championship.

Lampard knows better than most about the potential for FA Cup upsets, so he will be desperate to field a strong side to ensure that doesn’t happen. Harry Wilson, who has been their star performer this season, has captured the headlines in the Championship and will be hoping for a strong cup run to boost his ever-growing CV.

Accrington knocked out Championship opposition in the last round with a 1-0 win over strugglers Ipswich Town. Stanley were actually pitched as favourites for that game, despite the difference in the division. John Coleman’s men sit 14th in League One, five points above the relegation zone. With the middle part of the league so tight, a run of positive or negative results could see any side dragged into a promotion or relegation fight. For Accrington, they will hope to end the season in mid-table obscurity, in their first year in the third tier. Billy Kee is their top scorer with nine goals this season and scored the winner against Ipswich in the last round. They will be hoping to keep the game scoreless as long as possible and pray that Kee can find the net with a scrappy strike late on in the match.

Jonathan Moss is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 12 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 40.8. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 60+ total points for this fixture.

Derby are undoubted favourites for this game and will hope for an early goal to set the mood. The longer the game remains 0-0, the stronger Accrington will be, as proved the case against Ipswich. I think Derby will win this one, but this could be a potential upset, for anyone fancying a longshot.

Accrington Stanley vs Derby County will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 2 with kick-off at 12:30 GMT.

Prediction: Accrington Stanley 0 – 2 Derby County

Suggested Tips – Accrington Stanley vs Derby County – (BET365):

Arsenal vs Manchester United Friday 25th January 2019 FA Cup – Fourth Round, Emirates Stadium

Live on BBC One – Kick-Off: 19:55 GMT

Arsenal vs Man Utd: Top-four rivals Arsenal and Manchester United lock horns at the Emirates in the FA Cup with both clubs looking to add silverware to their trophy cabinets this season. The Gunners will be hoping to build on their win over Chelsea last weekend after they secured a 2-0 victory. Goals from Alexander Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny made the difference as Unai Emery’s French contingent shone in a must-win fixture. That results has moved both Arsenal and Manchester United to within three points of Chelsea and has reignited the race for Champions League football. For Arsenal, finishing in the top four was always the target for Emery as he seeks to change their squad. If he could add some cup glory on top of a return to Europe’s elite competition, that would be a fine season. Arsenal made mass changes for their trip to Blackpool Town in round three, however, this represents a much tougher test. A first clean sheet in six league games will be a welcome sight ahead of this game. United have been in superb form since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s arrival. They made a huge statement against Tottenham with a 1-0 win and backed that up with a 2-1 victory over Brighton at the weekend. That made it seven straight wins for Solskjaer, who understands United’s strong history in this competition. Therefore, I would expect the Red Devils to name a strong side, to keep their momentum. Marcus Rashford looks reinvigorated by Solskjaer’s methods. It’s clear the Norwegian has taken the young forward under his wing, and his finishing has already improved during his two months in charge. The Englishman has scored in five of his last six games, playing as a centre forward and I wouldn’t back against him adding to that tally on Friday. Craig Pawson is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 12 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 48.8. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 60+ total points for this fixture. Manchester United look unstoppable at present, led by the resurgent Paul Pogba and Rashford. I think their attack quality will prove too much for Arsenal’s defence to handle, which will see them edge a tight encounter. Arsenal vs Manchester United will be televised live in the UK on BBC One, with kick off at 19:55 GMT. Prediction: Arsenal 1-2 Manchester United
