Horse Racing Preview - Newmarket - 29th September 2017

Today’s horse racing preview comes from three meetings, with selections coming from Haydock, Newmarket & Kilbeggan.

14.30 Haydock – Betfred Rose of Lancaster Stakes (Group 3) (10.5f)

I would like to think Roger Varian’s Mount Logan can capture this event off the back of his consistent two runs this year. Two places in Listed company in 2017, he has shown the liking for cut in the ground when third in the Fred Archer Stakes at Newmarket at the turn of July when just three parts of a length behind Second Step, who has run well again last week behind Poets Word at Goodwood, however Mount Logan has not shown his ability when stepping into pattern company in the past, with three career attempts behind him at longer distances on his past two pattern runs, they drop him back to the index which saw him land a conditions Stakes race at Doncaster last year. This time of year, he seems to thrive more and on matching last year’s form he certainly looks more forward.

Owen Burrows Laraaib comes into this unbeaten, however with only the three career runs behind him he would have to step up from his Ascot Class 3 win when off a mark of 95. First time into pattern company he will be one of four that gets the age allowance this afternoon, will have to improve and show if he handles the softer conditions. One at a price is James Fanshawe’s Arthenus who ran a cracking second on soft ground in the Listed Bet365 Stakes over 10f. Competing in last year’s John Smiths Cup over today’s index finishing a long way down the field that day, but acts on ground that has cut and can’t see why he cannot get involved under Danny Tudhope who is becoming a thorn in people’s side around these races when picking up mounts away from home.

MOUNT LOGAN : 1pt each way @ 12/1 (BOG)

15.35 Haydock – Betfred TV/EBF Stallions Dick Hern Stakes (Listed) (8.2f)

Willie Haggas’s Sea of Grace sets the standard here after her runner up spot from the French 1000gns, but it’s a race I have never been a follower of form for, and this showed when the winner ran last in this year’s Coronation Cup behind Winter, the third has also finished last in the Prix De Sandringham back in June. Even the fourth has run twice since and finished last, in fact the only two horses to take out of the French 1000 is Roly Poly and Rain Goddess. The former has gone on to land two Group 1’s since (Falmouth Stakes & Prix Rothschild), the latter has got a string of seconds to her name in Group 1 company (Pretty Polly Stakes & Irish Oaks) behind the likes of Enable is top draw form. However, do we judge Sea Of Grace on her Guineas run, as she finished behind Roly Poly in the Coronation Cup? She was basically taken off her feet by the front running tactics of Ryan Moore who just stacked them up.

She is effective on good to soft and is taking a huge drop in class into Listed company, again though I am not in favour of pattern horses dropping this significantly, Atzeni is looking to go back to back as a jockey in the race after landing this on Aljazzi for trainer Marco Botti, with trainer Willie Haggas looking to record his second win after Token of Love back in 2014, so two previous winners teaming up, could be the force to beat. Pat Smullen is also looking to notch his second win in this race when he rides Sir Michael Stoute’s Mittens.

She was disappointing last time when only managing fifth in the Listed Valiant Stakes, with wins in 0-90 & 0-95 handicaps, it’s not always easy to step up that few extra pounds into Listed company, she has also not shown much to liking of soft ground beaten twice over this trip and 9.9f. So, on that note I am going to shy away from the obvious and have an each way punt on John Gosden’s Dancing Breeze. She is only a Newmarket maiden winner and has not shown much in this class since, in fact has failed on her past three outings to show anything, but you could say her half a length behind Queen of Time at Sandown in the Listed Coral Distaff would bring her in with a chance. Joe Fanning booked and Haydock not bad for front running tactics which Joe is renown for, Jockey won this in 2014 on Willie Haggas’ Token of Love.

DANCING BREEZE : 1pt each way @ 9/1 (BOG)

15.40 Newmarket – German-Thoroughbred.com Sweet Solera Stakes (Group 3)  (7f)

Some people might think there is actually no draw bias in this race, but actually the high draw has been favoured when the ground has turned up soft, and this gives the perfect chance to today’s Nap in Poetic Charm of Charlie Appleby’s. I saw a lot of potential on debut when winning over course and distance four weeks ago when fending off both Jousi and Juliet Capulet in easy fashion. The form Is stacking up, with Jousi and Juliet Capulet both winning as has the sixth place Roulette, so I am confident that she can take this in her stride from stall 8 and make it 2-2 under the Doyler.

Main dangers look to come from Capla Temptress and Mayyasah and it’s the latter that is my main rival here. She won with plenty in hand for Sean Levey at Newbury, but it is starting to look a weak maiden after the second and third have literally been blown off the park on their next runs, Tajannus also represents the Hannon camp who has good form on good/soft ground and won here over 6f on debut, recently though she just managed to get up in the Listed Star Stakes at Sandown, but that form has been franked when somehow Billsdon Brook came from an impossible position to land a good Nursery at Goodwood last week. Sean Levey though prefers Mayyasah this time around, but I just think Poetic Charm is potentially a better filly on paper that looks to be going places. Capla Temptress won well enough around the Novice ranks over course and distance, but this looks a big step up for her this time around.

POETIC CHARM : 3pt Win @ 4/1 (BOG) (NAP)

20.30 Kilbeggan – Book Online For Discounts I.N.H Flat (16f)

Now this is a bit different, diverting to the NHF Flat in Ireland, but purely I do like the Gordon Elliott runner here, Anytime Now, who probably deserves to win this after two excellent seconds which included last time at Downpatrick when behind Exchange Rate who was very impressive when landing his hurdling maiden at the Galway Festival. Diverting back to the dead 16f here and on soft ground he should make an impact.

I am sure we are going to see one of the Mullins horses if not two turn up in this, more than likely though the one that will take on the selection is Itsonlyrocknroll who finished third on debut under rules at Sligo, that was over further and takes the drop back to 16f, unproven on soft ground though, but being by Shantou who did not mind a bit of cut.

Last but certainly not least, Nigel Slevin’s Backstairs Bounder who is the thorn in the two above’s side. Improved a lot when third at Ballinrobe just under three weeks ago, and is another that would probably prefer the drop back to two miles, ground is a concern though.

ANYTIME HOW : 2pt win @ SP (BOG)

Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur - Match Preview

Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur – Match Preview – The first Super Sunday match of the season will see newly promoted Newcastle United host Tottenham Hotspur. Rafa Benitez has returned to the Premier League once again after a successful season with Newcastle in the Championship.

Their return to the Premier League hasn’t been sugar coated as Tottenham have become a force to be reckoned with in the previous seasons. Yet to make a summer signing and with some key faces missing for Spurs, it is unclear how Tottenham will perform as many fans are becoming frustrated with the lack of fresh faces at the club.

Newcastle will be feeling confident they can survive the drop this season; having struggled to find stability for many seasons. St James Park used to be a fortress for the Magpies and many Premier League teams would struggle to get points there and Rafa Benitez will be looking to reinvent this. The club has stayed loyal to the players who gained the club promotion back to the Premier League with former Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle headlining the attack.

Dwight Gayle should lead the attack on Sunday Photo Credit: skysports.com

Aleksander Mitrovic, Jonjo Shelvey and Matt Richie are also some big names that have previously impressed in the Premier League and will feature for Newcastle. A tough draw for their season opener, it will take something special from Newcastle to pull off a result here.

Skybet Match Result – Newcastle to Win – 4/1

Tottenham haven’t had the dream transfer market so far. Right back Kyle Walker left the club to join Manchester City for a whopping £50 million, much to the disgust of many pundits. Left back Danny Rose has also publicly announced he would be interested in a move to another top Premier League side. With not a single arrival through the door yet, many fans aren’t feeling very positive ahead of the season as it currently stands. Striker Harry Kane will remain a key figure for Spurs as he will be looking to defend his golden boot title.

Fellow young English talent Dele Alli has also remained at Tottenham despite rumours linking him with a move away from the club. Manager, Mauricio Pochettino will have an interesting few weeks ahead of him as he will surely look to strengthen his squad. Can they start with winning ways on Sunday? The bookmakers seem to think so.

Skybet Correct Score Group Betting – Tottenham to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 – 7/4

Middlesbrough vs Sheffield United - Match Preview

Middlesbrough vs Sheffield United – Match Preview – Gary Monk takes on Chris Wilder in his first game in charge at the Riverside Stadium. After losing his first game on the opening weekend, the former Swansea and Leeds manager will be determined to bounce back with a win.

After spending big in the transfer market, Middlesbrough found themselves on the wrong end of a 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out. With new singings Ashley Fletcher, Britt Assombalonga and Johnny Howson all starting, Monk must work out how to get the best out his new additions.

New signing Ashley Fletcher left West Ham for Middlesbrough this summer Photo Credit: northernecho.co.uk

By contrast, Sheffield United marked their return to The Championship with victory against Brentford. After romping to the League One title last year, Chris Wilder has earned himself plenty of plaudits, having earned consecutive promotions with both Northampton and United.

Having only lost 11 of his last 93 games as a manager, Wilder knows how to make his teams hard to beat. He has been successful in every challenge he has faced so far and United are certainly a team in red hot form. Billy Sharp recorded 30 league goals last season, and the striker is already off the mark for this campaign, notching the only goal in their 1-0 victory last time out.

Billy Sharp scored 30 goals last season in the league Photo Credit: skysports.com

Against the strength of Middlesbrough though, it will be one of the toughest tests the Blades have faced in recent times. Their last win at Boro came back in 1997, just shy of 20 years ago. Their recent form against them doesn’t bode well either, having won only one of their last seven meetings, losing four.

Goals tend to be in short supply when these two meet. In the last ten game between the two, only 17 goals have been scored. As has been the case in previous meetings, I think fine margins will separate these two sides, in what is bound to be a tightly fought game.

Score prediction: Middlesbrough 1-0 Sheffield United

SKYBET: MIDDLESBROUGH TO WIN AND ASSOMBALONGA TO SCORE FIRST- 18/1

SKYBET: ASHLEY FLECTHER AND BILLY SHARP TO BOTH SCORE- 17-2

SKYBET: MIDDLESBOROUGH TO WIN AND OVER 2.5 MATCH GOALS- 9/4

SKYBET: BILLY SHARP TO SCORE FIRST AND UNITED TO WIN 1-0- 35/1

SKYBET: CORRECT SCORE GROUP BETTING, BORO TO WIN 1-0, 2-0 OR 2-1- 13/8

Brighton vs Manchester City - match Preview

Brighton vs Manchester City – Match Preview – The Premier League is back! Pep Guardiola takes his Manchester City side to The Amex Stadium to face newly promoted Brighton.

After another huge summer of spending, the pressure is on for Guardiola, as he looks to build on last season’s third placed finish. The Citizens have spent in excess of 200 million, bringing in six new signings. City are expected to hand debuts to both their new full backs Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy, as well as new goalkeeper Ederson.

Bernardo Silva signed from Monaco this summer Photo Credit: skysports.com

The club also bolstered their already impressed attacking ranks, with the addition of Portuguese playmaker Bernardo Silva. Many are keen to see Silva in action, as he looks to settle in to life in the Premier League.  Alongside the likes of David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane, Guardiola has a wealth of options at his disposal, as he looks to secure a third league title for City.

The match marks a historic moment for Brighton, their first ever match in the Premier League. After such an impressive campaign last year, which saw them promoted, this year it will be a whole new test for Chris Hughton’s side.

Davy Propper signed from PSV this summer Photo Credit: theargus.co.uk

The Seagulls’ are as expected, one of the favourites for relegation. If they are to survive in the top flight, they will need to make The Amex a fortress, starting on the opening weekend. They have added well to their squad, breaking their club record to sign Davy Propper. The former PSV midfielder has joined for a rumoured fee of 10 million pounds, exceeding the previous fee, that was also broken this summer.

The club have also added a new goalkeeper to their ranks. With David Stockdale leaving the club to join Birmingham City, they have added Australian stopper Mathew Ryan to their squad. They have also secured the loan signing of Izzy Brown, who impressed on loan at Huddersfield last season, as they also earned promotion to the Premier League.

The last time these two sides met in the League was in 1989 in League two. Now both grace the Premier League, this shows how far both clubs have come in the last 28 years. Their most recent meeting was a 2-2 draw in the cup in 2008. That day Brighton came out on top, winning 5-3 in a penalty shootout.

Matches between these two have been scarce in recent years, with City’s last win against Brighton coming in 1988. The last six games between the two has seen, three draws and the other three games settled by a one goal margin. 14 goals were scored in those six games, with both teams scoring in four of them.

I think City will be in for a tough test, in what is bound to be an electric atmosphere. Whilst Brighton will work hard and make things tough for City, I think Guardiola’s side will have enough class to prevail, winning 2-1.

SKYBET: CORRECT SCORE – CITY TO WIN 2-1- 15/2

SKYBET: WINNING MARGIN – CITY BY EXACTLY ONE GOAL- 11/4

SKYBET: BERNARDO SILVA TO SCORE AND WIN- 5/2

SKYBET: SERGIO AGUERO AND ANTHONY KNOCKAERT TO BOTH SCORE- 6/1

SKYBET: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE AND OVER 2.5 GOALS- 11/8

SKYBET: CORRECT SCORE GROUP BETTING – CITY TO WIN 1-0, 2-0 OR 2-1- 13/8

Watford vs Liverpool - Match Preview

Watford vs Liverpool – Match Preview – The agonising summer-long wait is over, the Premier League is finally back! After all the transfer dealings, rumours, speculation and pre-season tours, English football’s top division is ready and willing to begin with a bang.

The first Saturday game of the season sees Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool travel to Vicarage Road to face Watford in new manager Marco Silva’s first game in charge.

Watford will be eager to race out of the blocks quickly to vindicate their decision to relieve Walter Mazzari of his duties and acquire the signature of Marco Silva from Hull. The Italian manager was fired despite guiding the Hertfordshire club to safety in the Premier League – implying the ambitions are a lot higher this time around for Silva.

There couldn’t be a much more difficult test for the ex-Sporting CP and Olympiacos manager than facing one of the league’s best sides in his maiden game in charge. However, after earning an incredible home record last season with The Tigers which included the masterminding of a 2-0 victory over The Reds there is every reason to be confident.

A big season is expected of Jurgen Klopp’s men; after steady progress during his tenure and qualifying for the Champions League with a 4th place finish last campaign, the next step is to seriously challenge for trophies – perhaps ending the 27-year-long wait for a league trophy.

Failure to do so will raise some unwanted questions for the German manager, especially after a poor transfer window to date – the club had to make a public apology for the inappropriate pursuit of Virgil van Dijk and still must deal with Barcelona’s crosshairs being firmly set on star player Philippe Coutinho.

Defence being a real problem area for Liverpool, the club have only brought in Andrew Robertson from Hull. Whilst a quality signing, it doesn’t address the issues at centre-back that linger over the club. That means it is increasingly likely Klopp will set up his team to play on the front foot and utilise the offensive quality in his possession.

Andre Gray joined Watford from Burnley this summer Photo Credit: skysports.com

Pair that with Watford’s relative influx of expensive attacking players in the form of £18.5m man Andre Gray from Burnley and the exciting £11m signing of Richarlison from Fluminese and we could have an all-out attacking slog on our hands – full of goals.

Team News
The much-discussed Coutinho will not feature due to a back problem, but the main injury problem is Adam Lallana who has been ruled out for the first three months of the season (thigh). Perennial fitness doubts over Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge are both also not 100% so may not feature, and in the absence of Nathanial Clyne, Joe Gomez will look to capitalise on claiming a starting spot.

Hornets captain Troy Deeney is unlikely to play after dealing with a thigh problem all summer, which leaves the door open for record-signing Gray to come straight into the side and lead the line. Good news, however, for Watford fans is that Roberto Pererya should return from the injury that kept him on the side-lines for months to play some part for the club.

Mo Salah could be pivotal for Liverpool this season Photo Credit: skysports.com

Player to Watch
With all the talk surrounding Coutinho, Liverpool’s £37m acquisition of Mo Salah from Roma has flown under the radar somewhat. Whilst the Egyptian rarely impressed during his time at Chelsea, underestimate him at your peril. He took Serie A by storm – finding the net 29 times and notching a further 17 assists in just 65 league appearances for the Italian capital club.
The 25-year-old will look to form a devastating attack in tandem with Sadio Mane, and just like the Senegalese is not just blistering pace and outstanding dribbling but quality end product too. Salah is one to watch for the entire season.

Horse Racing Preview - Newmarket - 3rd November 2017

Today’s horse racing preview comes from one meeting, with selections coming from Newmarket.

19.35 Newmarket – Fly London Southend Airport To Budapest EBF Stallions Fillies Handicap (8f) (0-95)

Without sounding condescending in anyway, anyone of these could win this race, but the Karl Burke entry here Seduce Me probably looks the least exposed off the back of her two wins at Newbury and Epsom. With a 8lb rise at the weights, I would not be surprised if the yard have had to take this hike up in class purely as there is nothing out there, if the quick turnaround will not inconvenience her she should be going close again on this ground she thrives on.

Mark Johnston runs Titi Makfi who is another filly by the well-known soft ground sire Makfi, the handicapper has looked to have caught up with her looking the way her last two runs have panned out, but she has to have claims here dropping in class after her fine run in a 0-105 at Goodwood when behind Richard Hannon’s Billsden Bess, however my concern is the distance, she has not contested the dead 8f in her career yet, the way she is renown for coming off the pace she could be found wanting, looks on the sharp side for her.

Prying Pandora could be the dark horse in this, the Dark Angel filly won well on the all-weather at Newcastle back in May in this company, the third Lincoln Rocks has gone on to land a Listed race since with also good runs in higher company. The runner up has also won last month at Redcar, but in a much weaker event. But the least exposed at the trip and conditions, I am going to give the nod to the Karl Burke entry here Seduce Me to notch up her third win in succession under her pilot Jim Crowley.

SEDUCE ME : 2pt Win @ SP (BOG)

20.10 Newmarket – Fly London Southend Airport To Venice Handicap (6f) (0-95)

Again, you can give hope to most of these landing this race, but the fact that John Gallagher’s charge Major Pusey turns up after just four days when running a credible second in this company when behind Ice Age at Windsor would give him a slight chance again. He ran well here at the back-end of July when runner up over 5f, however he has failed miserably to land a Class 3 race, in fact he is at present 0-8 around that sphere, but getting weight all round here he is not going to get a better chance of recording a career best win.

One of interest here is John Quinn’s Reputation, he does not look the most straight forward, even so he has been keeping reasonable company around the 105 marks. Coming down at the weights gradually and does have a 0-100 win to his name this year. As the ground goes the jury is out, as he has run poorly on this surface in the past, however would not have to step up too much to win a race of this nature.

Arsenal vs Leicester City - Match Preview

Arsenal vs Leicester City – Match Preview – Premier League football returns! Much to the delight of football fans up and down the country. The buzz around this season is bigger than ever with every Premier League fan itching for that first ball to be kicked.

That ball is to be kicked by either 2015/16 Champions, Leicester City or FA Cup winners, Arsenal, who face off Friday night in the Premier League curtain raiser. Under the lights at the Emirates Stadium, the 2017/18 Premier League season will commence.

Arsenal will be looking to continue their form following their Community Shield victory over current league champions Chelsea. Arsene Wenger’s side took Chelsea to penalties and won the first competitive match of the season; rather ironically at Tottenham’s new home ground. Summer signing, Alexandre Lacazette, will front the Arsenal attack this season in their bid to regain Champions League football.

Kolasinac has impressed since joining Arsenal Photo Credit: skysports.com

New arrival Sead Kolasinac also turned some heads in the community shield match with an impressive competitive debut. The defender has a large physique that many Arsenal fans are likening to Sol Campbell. Alexis Sanchez future is still in the balance, however seems to be settled at the Emirates as it stands, though he will miss the opener due to an abdominal strain and could miss the first 2 games of the season. A front three of Sanchez, Ozil and Lacazette is mouth-watering for fans, who believe they can return to their former glory.

Arsenal often perform very well against ‘The Foxes’, having not lost since 2000 in the FA Cup. Arsene Wenger will be hoping to kickstart their season with a solid victory.

Skybet Correct Score Group Betting – Arsenal to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 – 2/1

New signing Iheanacho could lead the line for Leicester against Arsenal Photo Credit: leicestermercury.co.uk

Leicester City will be looking for a season of stability in the Premier League following last season’s efforts. After achieving possibly, the most incredible league victory that football has ever seen, ‘The Foxes’ were then relegation candidates for much of last season domestically, whilst reaching the quarter final of the Champions League. Summer arrival, Kelechi Iheanacho is a signing that has pleased many Leicester fans as he has impressed with his cameos for Manchester City.

Manager, Craig Shakespeare will be hoping to break the Foxes curse against Arsenal, however will find it tough on the opening day and the bookmakers agree. Midfielder, Vincente Iborra is no longer available for Leicester due to injury and tricky winger Riyad Mahrez is also wanting to leave the club so it could be the start to a very busy month for Shakespeare on the King Power throne.

Auckland Masters

PDC Auckland Masters 2017 – Darts Preview – The PDC is taking its World Tour down under beginning with the Auckland Masters this Friday. The televised (ITV) three-day event has some big names not featuring all for personal reasons. Both Michael van Gerwen and Adrian Lewis have requested not to take part in the tournament due to both their wives recently giving birth.

Here are some of the outrights ahead of the PDC Auckland Masters:

Gary Anderson – Skybet Outright Winner – 5/2

Reigning champion Gary Anderson will be hopeful of defending his title Photo Credit: skysports.com

Two-time World Champion Gary Anderson will be defending his title after coming out victorious in Auckland last year. Anderson is currently favourite to retain his title with his opening match being against tough Australian opponent, Kyle Anderson. The Scotsman has never shown any signs of a crowd being against him alter his performance and it is unlikely he will let that happen this time around. Great outright odds for Anderson, worth a punt.

Phil Taylor – Skybet Outright Winner – 3/1

This could be Phil Taylor’s last Auckland Masters tournament Photo Credit: skysports.com

Following his incredible victory at the World Matchplay a couple weeks back, Taylor will be looking to earn more silverware on his lap of honour with the PDC Tour. Dispatching of Michael van Gerwen with ease showed that ‘The Power’ is not retired yet and still has some darting fuel left in the tank. The game’s greatest ever darter will be looking to the upcoming Australian/New Zealand masters’ as a chance to get more silverware with some big names side-lined for these events. Following his recent form, wouldn’t want to bet against him.

Peter Wright – Skybet Outright Winner – 100/30

Peter Wright needs to get back to winning ways Photo Credit: skysports.com

‘Snakebite’ Peter Wright has endured a frustrating few months; continuously losing in big pressure matches. Wright is due a piece of silverware having shown signs of vast improvement on the doubles in large majorities, however has still lacked that cutting edge. His first match is against Corey Cadby of Australia where he will be looking to get off to a flying start. Snakebite could slither to the trophy on his day.

Daryl Gurney – Skybet Outright Winner – 9/1

Daryl Gurney could upset the favourites if in similar form to the World Matchplay Photo Credit: skysports.com

Daryl ‘Superchin’ Gurney has turned up the heat in his recent outings on the PDC Tour. Losing in the final of the Shanghai Masters to Michael van Gerwen and losing in the World Matchplay semi-final to Peter Wright are not so much defeats in the big scheme. His meteoric rise up the PDC Order of Merit has been astounding to watch this year and is quickly becoming not just the ‘hot prospect’ but the one to beat. His opening match is against Australian, Rob Modra. Long odds from SkyBet on the in-form, talented 31-year-old.

Wolverhampton - 10th August 2017 - Horse Racing Preview

Betalyst.com are proud to sponsor 4 races at Wolverhampton on Thursday 10th August 2017 and our preview, looks at the runners in those 4 races, providing our insight and hopefully pick out a winner or two!

6.35 Wolverhampton – Betalyst.com Football Betting Analyst Fillies’ Handicap – 6F 20Y

Loving for William Haggas has been dropped in grade coming into this race, though previous form has been disappointing as finishing 4/6 at Yarmouth 14 days ago. The yard have been going well so cannot rule out and have James Doyle in the saddle.

Dusky Maid had been running well up until its last at Doncaster where finishing 6th of 7. Form has been much better on the all weather and has a win over the course back in June, over 7f. Another that cannot be ruled out due to form on the all weather.

Tooty Fruitti wasn’t at her best when finishing 3rd in a handicap at Lingfield most recently but had run well in her last two at Wolverhampton, winning over 5f in a seller and then losing by a head to Bogsnog over 6f. Josephine Gordon take the ride but I feel Tooty Fruitti will be in the placings.

Prediction: Dusky Maid

7.35pm Wolverhampton – betalyst.com Daily Tips & Previews Novice Auction Stakes – 7F 36Y

Tranquil Soul looks to be the most progressive of the field after 2 runs, finishing 6th on debut at Nottingham on good/firm ground and then a good 2nd at Wolverhampton over 6f. Seems to enjoy the tapeta and will be the one to beat.

Danger to the selection will be Oswald, if able to regain momentum back at Wolverhampton, where on debut finished a head behind the winner over 7f. A disappointing run at Lingfield followed though, on good to soft ground.

Prediction: Tranquil Soul

8.40pm Wolverhampton – Betalyst.com Free Football Tips Handicap – 1M 142Y

High End looks to be the one to beat, with 3 year old winning on debut at Chelmsford over a mile and though running slightly green, managed to win by a head with a bit in hand under Josephine Gordon. Edward Greatrex takes the ride this time,  taking off 3lb for Godolphin.

Almoreb looks to be the danger to the selection, making his AW debut. Ran well at Sandown last time out on soft ground, winning by 1/2 a length and has finished 4 lengths to William Haggas’ Mojito, the time before.

Prediction: High End

9.10pm Wolverhampton – Betalyst.com Pro Tips Handicap – 1M 4F 51Y

Gold Class moves from the jumps to the flat and has since joined Olly Murphy’s yard and won in good fashion after a 274 day break to win at Market Rasen by 6 lengths. James Doyle takes the ride and looks an interesting contender.

An open looking race where the dangers could come from Flowers Will Bloom and Flying Power. The former, trained by David O’Meara, drops in class and this should be more to her liking. Flying Power is a course and distance winner but it was over 4 years ago. If able to bring that level of form back, will be in the mix.

Prediction: Gold Class
