Manchester United vs Bournemouth
Sunday 30th December 2018
FA Premier League, Old Trafford

Live on Sky Sports Premier League – Kick-Off: 16:30 GMT

Man Utd vs Bournemouth: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be looking for his third-straight win as caretaker boss of Manchester United when they host Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth at Old Trafford. The Norwegian boss claimed three points during his homecoming on boxing day as they beat Huddersfield Town 3-1.

Paul Pogba stole the headlines with a well-taken brace as the Frenchman put in a man-of-the-match display. His second goal, in particular, reminded everyone of his fantastic ability as he fired the ball into the corner from almost 30 yards. There is no doubt that Jose Mourinho’s feud with Pogba, and Martial, played a role in his dismissal. Pogba is a huge player for Manchester United and it’s vital they get him playing consistently.

Solskjaer already seems to be getting more from him, which can only benefit the club long-term. They are in sixth, at the moment, eight points behind fourth-placed Chelsea. Whilst that is still a hefty gap, there is still a small chance they could end the season in the top four. Despite their improved performances, United still look vulnerable defensively. Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof seem to be the new first-choice pairing, which is an interesting blend. I’ve always rated Jones as a defender, but his poor injury record has hampered his career to date. It will be interesting to see how those two perform for the remainder of the campaign and whether they can improve United’s poor defensive record.

Bournemouth were hit for five on boxing day as they went down 5-0 to Tottenham Hotspur. Howe’s men were swept away by Mauricio Pochettino’s side and will be looking to respond against the Red Devils. It means the Cherries have only recorded one win in their last five games, conceding 12 goals in the process. Although Bournemouth’s season won’t be defined against the top six, they could do with getting back to basics. They sit in 11th, two points behind seventh-placed Leicester City.

That means they have a very realistic chance of earning a European place, which would be a spectacular achievement. Lee Mason is the referee for this game.

The Englishman has taken charge of nine top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 35.6. As a result, I would recommend a maximum of 50+ points for this game.

Manchester United look revitalised – for now – and therefore it will suit them, coming up against a leaky Bournemouth backline. Therefore, I think we’ll see them run out comfortable winners, as they bid to close the gap on the top four.

Prediction: Manchester United 3-1 Bournemouth

Southampton vs Manchester City
Sunday 30th December 2018
FA Premier League, St Mary’s Stadium

Live on Sky Sports Premier League – Kick-Off: 14:15 GMT

Southampton will host Manchester City in Premier League action on the last Super Sunday of 2018.

The Saints have improved with two wins from their last three matches however lost their previous outing against West Ham but have climbed out the relegation zone. Meanwhile, City have shocked the league with two consecutive losses after many tipped them for an invincible season.

Southampton are a massive 17/2 from SkyBet to win this match. Despite their better form in recent weeks with the managerial change, Southampton’s home form is yet to make for good reading. They have just one home win all season. Going forward, Danny Ings has been a breath of fresh air for the home side. His seven goals have been crucial to their plight and he is 9/4 to score anytime.

Defensively the home side have been poor. In eight of their last nine Premier League matches, both teams have scored. If you fancy backing big odds, SkyBet are paying out at 16/1 for Southampton to win and both teams to score.

Manchester City are clear favourites for this encounter and are priced at 3/10. City’s last two outings have seen them lose to Leicester and Crystal Palace. They are now seven points behind Liverpool who are first in the league. It’s been their worst form of all time under Pep Guardiola. Over the length of the campaign however they have not struggled for goals. Sergio Aguero has scored eight goals whilst fellow attacker Raheem Sterling has scored nine. They are 11/4 to both score in this match.

It would be an incredible feat if City were to lose this match and it is highly unlikely. However, they have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight matches in all competitions. They are 13/8 to win and both teams to score.

The referee for this match will be Paul Tierney. The official has averaged 40 booking points per match in his 11 Premier League games.

Southampton vs Manchester City will be televised on Sky Sports Premier League HD and kicks off at 14:15.

Prediction: Southampton 1 – 3 Manchester City

– City will bounce back with a comfortable victory after a torrid week.

Match Betting Preview - Crystal Palace vs Chelsea. Sunday 30th December 2018, FA Premier League, Selhurst Park. Live on Sky Sports Premier League - Kick-Off: 12:00 GMT.

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea
Sunday 30th December 2018
FA Premier League, Selhurst Park

Live on Sky Sports Premier League – Kick-Off: 12:00 GMT

Crystal Palace will entertain London rivals Chelsea in Premier League action this weekend in the final game week of 2018.

The hosts will still be on a high after their 3-2 victory over Manchester City two games ago which has seen them climb the table to 14th. Meanwhile, Chelsea need to regain their form from the start of the season with three defeats in their last seven matches.

Crystal Palace are 4/1 to win this match by SkyBet. The home side enter this match on the back end of a 0-0 draw with Cardiff. They have two defeats in their last six matches. However, their home form has not made for positive viewing. They have been goalless six times at home this season from nine games. Andros Townsend and Wilfried Zaha have been the two attacking threats for Palace – however have not score many goals. Zaha is 5/2 to score anytime whilst Townsend is price boosted on SkyBet to 18/1 to recreate another memorable goal from outside the penalty area.

Palace have struggled defensively with 25 goals conceded in 19 matches. 72% of the goals they concede have been in the second half of matches. Their opponents are 6/4 to score in both halves.

Chelsea are favourites for this match and are priced at (link no longer available). The threat of the Blues speaks for itself with Eden Hazard leading the way with 10 goals and nine assists. The Belgian has been as impressive as ever and is (link no longer available) to break the deadlock this Sunday. Sarri’s side have been in good form on the road with 19 points taken from 9 matches.

Their last two away matches have resulted in 2-1 victories and three of the last four matches between them and Palace have seen a 2-1 score line. So, a 2-1 is written in the stars, surely?

The referee for this match will be Craig Pawson. The official has been very card happy this season with an average of 48.8 booking points in his 12 Premier League matches. I’d expect a few cards to be brandished this Sunday.

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea will be televised on Sky Sports Premier League HD and kicks off at 12:00.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1 – 2 Chelsea

It will be a close encounter however I expect Chelsea’s quality to be just enough.

Suggested Tips – Crystal Palace vs Chelsea – (BET365):

  • Correct score:  Chelsea Win 2-1 – (link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Eden Hazard – (link no longer available).

  • Price Boost – Andros Townsend to score from outside the penalty area – 16/1.
  • Chelsea to win and BTTS – 9/4.
  • RequestABet Specials – up to 10/1 – Over 1.5 goals, Crystal Palace to score 1+ goals, Hazard 1+ shots on target, 6+ match corners & 20+ match booking pts – 13/8. (NAP).

Match Betting Preview - Liverpool vs Arsenal. Saturday 29th December 2018, FA Premier League, Anfield. Live on BT Sport 1 - Kick-Off: 17:30 GMT.

Liverpool vs Arsenal
Saturday 29th December 2018
FA Premier League, Anfield

Live on BT Sport 1 – Kick-Off: 17:30 GMT

Liverpool vs Arsenal: League-leader Liverpool take on Unai Emery’s Arsenal, looking to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to nine points.

Boxing day saw the Reds extend their advantage over Manchester City to six points after Pep Guardiola’s side lost 2-1 to Leicester City. Jurgen Klopp’s men recorded a 4-0 win over Newcastle, to cement their place as the bookies’ favourite to win the title for the first time this season. On Saturday, they take on Arsenal, having drawn 1-1 with the Gunners in early November. Since then, they have lost just twice – both in the Champions League – but have won every league games.

Xherdan Shaqiri continued his fine form at Anfield against Newcastle with another goal, the Swiss international has scored five in his last five appearances on Merseyside. This game marks an important week for the Reds, as they take on Manchester City at the weekend. Liverpool could find themselves 12 points clear of the Citizens at the end of the week, or back level on points. They couldn’t be in better form, having won their last seven games at home in all competitions.

Arsenal limped to a 1-1 draw with Brighton on boxing day. The game was marred by Emery’s questionable substitution, which saw Mesut Ozil hauled off at half-time. This was the latest turn in Emery and Ozil’s topsy-turvy relationship – my guess at whether he’ll start at Anfield is as good as yours. After their 22-match unbeaten run ended, Arsenal have won just once in four games. They’re fifth in the table, two points off the top four and six points ahead of Manchester United. If they want to regain a place amongst Europe’s elite in the Champions League, they need to rediscover their form that made them so hard to beat.

Michael Oliver is the referee for this game. The Englishman has taken charge of 14 matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 31.4. As a result, I would recommend a maximum of 50+ points for this game.

Liverpool are in sparkling form and now have a very realistic chance of claiming their first ever Premier League title. Arsenal aren’t in their best form and go to Anfield with a number of injuries. Therefore, I’m going to side with the Reds.

Liverpool vs Arsenal will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 1 with kick off at 17:30 GMT.

Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

Suggested Tips – Liverpool vs Arsenal – (BET365):

  • Correct score:  Liverpool win 3-1 – (link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Mohammed Salah – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Liverpool vs Arsenal – (SKYBET):

  • Full Time Result & Both Teams to score – Liverpool and Yes – 13/8.

Southampton vs West Ham United
Thursday 27th December 2018
FA Premier League, St Mary’s Stadium

Live on Sky Sports Premier League – Kick-Off: 19:45 GMT

Southampton and West Ham will both be looking to give their fans a late Christmas present as the two face off in Premier League action this Thursday.

The hosts enter the match on a two-game win streak with victories over Huddersfield and Arsenal. Meanwhile, West Ham had their four-match win streak undone in their last outing. They lost 2-0 at home to Watford.

Southampton are priced at 6/5 by SkyBet to win this match. The Saints have climbed out of the drop zone with their previous two outings. They now have 15 points from 18 matches. Striker Danny Ings has scored three in their last two and has seven for the season. He is lethal from the penalty spot and is (link no longer available) to score anytime with BET365.

The last three meetings between these two sides have seen at least three goals. The last match at the St Marys Stadium saw the home side win 3-2. SkyBet are offering 3/1 for Southampton to win and both teams to score.

West Ham are priced at 21/10 to win this match. They have been in red hot form in the past few weeks however enter the match on the back of their first loss in five matches. Summer signing Felipe Anderson is beginning to find his feet in London and has got six goals in the campaign. The tricky Brazilian is likely to cause the home side problems and is 17/2 to score first.

West Ham’s away return has been decent, with 11 points taken from eight matches. They have also kept two clean sheets in their last two away matches and are 5/1 to win to nil.

The referee for this match will be Craig Pawson. The official hasn’t been shy with his cards this season and has averaged 48.8 booking points this season in his 12 Premier League appearances.

Southampton vs West Ham United will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League HD and kicks off at 19:45.

Prediction: Southampton 1 – 1 West Ham United.

Tough match to split. Both teams capable of scoring.

Match Betting Preview - Sheffield United vs Derby County. Wednesday 26th December 2018, SkyBet Championship, Bramall Lane. Live on Sky Sports Football HD - Kick-Off: 15:00 GMT.

Sheffield United vs Derby County
Wednesday 26th December 2018
SkyBet Championship, Bramall Lane

Live on Sky Sports Football HD – Kick-Off: 15:00 GMT

Sheffield United vs Derby County: Both of these top-six rivals will be desperate to gain the upper ground on the other when Sheffield United host Derby County on boxing day.

The Blades sit sixth in the Championship, despite a disappointing 1-1 with Ipswich Town at the weekend. Chris Wilder’s side have dropped off from their early-season form, winning just three of their last 11 games. That has seen fall nine points off the top two and clinging off to a top-six place. They hold a three-point lead on the chasing pack ahead of this game. A major problem for United has been their inability to keep clean sheets. In this 11-game run, they’ve kept just two shutouts. If they want to get back to winning ways, they need to go back to basics. It’s vital they avoid defeat in this game, ahead of the January transfer window. Wilder is looking to add three loan additions to his squad and ensuring they are still in the promotion mix could be vital to securing their targets.

Derby sit fifth in the table, directly above their hosts. There is just one point separating these two, which makes the stakes even higher. The Rams have lost just one of their last six games and come into this match in strong form. Frank Lampard’s side face Norwich, Middlesbrough and Leeds United in their next three league games – a run of fixture that will make or break their season. Playing four of the other five top-six sides will allow Lampard to assess exactly where his squad is and where they may need to strengthen. A centre back is believed to be high on their list of priorities, although they do have the fourth-best defensive record in the league.

Geoff Eltringham is the referee for this game. The Englishman has taken charge of 13 matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 28.1. As a result, I would recommend a maximum of 40+ points for this game.

Sheffield United have struggled against the top six. They have lost to Middlesbrough, West Brom, Forest and Derby already this campaign. As a result, I think the Rams could do the double and come away with three vital points.

Sheffield United vs Derby County will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Football with kick-off at 15:00 GMT.

Prediction: Sheffield United 1-2 Derby County

Suggested Tips – Sheffield United vs Derby County – (BET365):

  • Correct score: Derby County to win 2-1 – (link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Jack Marriott – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Sheffield United vs Derby County – (SKYBET):

  • Double Up Price Boost – Harry Wilson to score outside the area – 9/1.
  • Full Time Result & Both Teams to Score – Draw & Yes –  3/1
  • Popular RequestABet – Derby to win, BTTS, 4+ corners each team and 20+ booking points each team  – 28/1.

Match Betting Preview - Watford vs Chelsea. Wednesday 26th December 2018, FA Premier League, Vicarage Road. Live on Sky Sports Premier League - Kick-Off: 19:30 GMT.

Watford vs Chelsea
Wednesday 26th December 2018
FA Premier League,Vicarage Road

Live on Sky Sports Premier League – Kick-Off: 19:30 GMT

Watford vs Chelsea: Chelsea head to Watford on boxing day, desperate to atone for their shock 1-0 defeat to Leicester four days ago.

Maurizio Sarri’s men were left frustrated after going down 1-0 to the Foxes thanks to Jamie Vardy’s second-half strike. That defeat leaves them 11 points behind the league leaders Liverpool and five behind third-placed Tottenham. Arsenal’s win over Burnley also means the Gunners are level on points with their London rivals heading into the festive period. That cranks up the pressure on Sarri, to ensure they end the season in the top four. Chelsea have mad memories of Vicarage Road after getting thumped 4-1 by the Hornets here last year under Antonio Conte. Chelsea’s goalscoring issues look set to underpin their campaign. The Blues have scored two goals or less in each of their last seven games. Since Diego Costa left, they have lacked a world-class striker. It seems only a matter of time before Sarri strengthens their attacking options, which could spell the end of Alvaro Morata.

Watford continued their recent resurgence with three points at West Ham. Goals from Gerard Deulofeu and Troy Deeney did the damage at the Olympic Stadium to ensure back-to-back wins. Deulofeu has been in fine form lately, in a new role. The Spanish winger has been deployed in the ‘number ten’ role of late, which has seen him find the net in his last two outings. The 24-year-old has always had potential – highlighted by two spells at Barcelona – but he may be finally showcasing his talent on a more consistent basis.

Martin Atkinson is the referee for this game. The Englishman has taken charge of 14 matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 33.9. As a result, I would recommend a maximum of 50+ points for this game.

Chelsea must return to winning ways to ensure they don’t miss out on Champions League football once again. Watford have shown they are capable of taking points from the big boys after beating Tottenham earlier in the season. This one will be tight but I fancy Chelsea to just about nick all three points.

Watford vs Chelsea will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League with kick-off at 19:30 GMT.

Prediction: Watford 1-2 Chelsea

Suggested Tips – Watford vs Chelsea – (BET365):

  • Correct score:  Chelsea to win 2-1 – (link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Eden Hazard – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Watford vs Chelsea – (SKYBET):

  • Price Boost – Gerard Deulofeu to score and Watford to win – 12/1.

Match Betting Preview - Arsenal vs Brighton. Wednesday 26th December 2018, FA Premier League, Falmer Stadium. Live on Sky Sports Premier League - Kick-Off: 17:15 GMT.

Brighton vs Arsenal
Wednesday 26th December 2018
FA Premier League, Falmer Stadium

Live on Sky Sports Premier League – Kick-Off: 17:15 GMT

Brighton and Arsenal will lock horns in Premier league action this boxing day.

The busy Christmas schedule seems to have affected the hosts, who enter this match on the back end of three consecutive losses. Meanwhile, the hosts will hope to continue to push for a top four spot after their 3-1 win against Burnley.

Brighton are priced at 19/5 to win this match by SkyBet. The home side have gone through a rough month with three losses on the bounce. However, they have made the AMEX Stadium a difficult place to visit and beat Arsenal 2-1 at home last season. Going forward, Glenn Murray has been the main man for Albion. The striker has eight goals this season and is priced at 15/8 to score anytime. He is also price boosted at 10/1 to score a header.

Defensively, Brighton could improve this season. They have conceded 26 goals in 18 matches. They often struggle to keep a clean sheet at home, with 17 of their total 27 Premier League matches resulting with both teams scoring. SkyBet are paying out 15/2 for the home side to win and both teams to score.

Arsenal are priced at 7/10 by SkyBet to win. The visitors have flexed their attacking muscle this season and are the second highest scorers in the league. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been the talisman for Unai Emery with 12 goals already. He currently leads the leagues goal scoring table. The striker is 10/3 to break the deadlock.

On the road, Arsenal have struggled defensively. They have conceded 15 goals in 8 games and are yet to keep a clean sheet. SkyBet have price boosted the odds to 11/4 for Arsenal to win and both teams to score.

The referee for this match will be Anthony Taylor. The official has averaged 30 booking points in his 16 Premier League matches. Brighton have the league’s second highest accumulations of cards with an average of 22.9 booking points per match. They are 2/1 to have 30+ booking points.

Brighton vs Arsenal will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League with kick-off at 17:15 GMT.

Prediction: Brighton 1 – 3 Arsenal

– The visitors have showed their scoring finesse and the strikers should see this match as a chance to add to their tally’s.

Suggested Tips – Brighton vs Arsenal – (BET365):

  • Correct score:  Arsenal to win 3-1 – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Brighton vs Arsenal – (SKYBET):

Match Betting Preview - Fulham vs Wolves. Wednesday 26th December 2018, FA Premier League, Craven Cottage. Live on Sky Sports Premier League - Kick-Off: 12:30 GMT.

Fulham vs Wolves
Wednesday 26th December 2018
FA Premier League, Craven Cottage

Live on Sky Sports Premier League – Kick-Off: 12:30 GMT

Fulham vs Wolves: Fulham will be hoping for three vital points to take them out of the bottom three when they host Wolves at Craven Cottage on boxing day.

The Cottagers currently sit bottom of the pile on ten points, four points adrift of safety. Claudio Ranieri’s arrival has seen a slight upturn in results, although they are still leaking goals for fun. They have conceded 11 goals in their last six games but did record their first clean sheet of the season last time out. That 0-0 draw at Newcastle meant they had finally shut out their opposition – they were the only side in England yet to do so.

They’re also struggling to find the net at the other end. Fulham, have scored just twice in their last five games. Their over-reliance on Alexandar Mitrovic is evident. The Serbian has 13 goals in 23 appearances for club and country this season, which is a fantastic record for a side that are bottom of the table. Fulham face Wolves, Huddersfield and Burnley in three of their next four fixture, which makes this festive period vital. Realistically, games against their fellow rivals will make or break their season, so they will be desperate for a strong showing.

Wolves were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool last time out. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side put up a good fight against the relentless Reds but were unable to take a point. That ended a run of three consecutive wins for them, which has seen them climb to tenth in the league table. It’s almost certain that they will survive to see another year of top-flight football – with a 13 points gap now separating Wolves and 18th-placed Burnley. That means that it is all-but mission accomplished for Nuno. Wolves’ main Achilles heel has been their inability to score goals. Raul Jimenez has largely impressed but lacks a killer instant in front of goal. If they were to sign another centre-forward, they could easily secure seventh spot and a European place.

Andre Marriner is the referee for this game. The Englishman has taken charge of 13 matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 32.3. As a result, I would recommend a maximum of 50+ points for this game.

Fulham will be desperate to make their home presence count, as they embark on a run of fixtures that could define their season. Wolves have been in good form recently and will be looking to continue that run in the capital. As a result, I’m going to go for a draw in this one.

Fulham vs Wolves will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League with kick-off at 12:30 GMT.

Prediction: Fulham 1-1 Wolves

Suggested Tips – Fulham vs Wolves – (BET365):

  • Correct score:  Draw 1-1 – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Fulham vs Wolves – (SKYBET):

  • Price Boost – Aleksandar Mitrovic to score a header – 8/1.
  • Full Time Result & Both Teams to Score – Draw & Yes –  3/1

  • Popular RequestABet – Mawson to score a header and Neves to score from outside the area – 100/1.

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur
Sunday 23rd December 2018
FA Premier League, Goodison Park

Live on Sky Sports Main Event – Kick-Off: 16:00 GMT

Everton vs Tottenham: Tottenham will be looking to close the gap on the top two when they take on an improving Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.

It’s been a good week for Spurs, as they recorded two wins and two clean sheets in a week. Cristian Eriksen’s 91st-minute winner against Burnley ensured three points last weekend before they sealed their place in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup with a 2-0 win at Arsenal. Chelsea now stand in Spurs way for a place in the final – ironically at Wembley. This represents Mauricio Pochettino’s best chance to win a trophy since arriving at the club.

Their last silverware was in that competition, as they beat the Blues 2-1 in the 2008 final. In the league, Tottenham are third, five points behind Manchester City and five points clear of fifth-placed Arsenal. They’re also into the knockout rounds of the Champions League – it’s been a great start to the campaign for them. Their main task is keeping hold of Pochettino, who has been heavily linked with the Manchester United job this week. With United set to go all-out for his services in the summer, Daniel Levy will be desperate to convince him to stay.

Everton are without a win in four games, despite their generally improved form. They were unlucky to lose against Liverpool at the start of the month and put in a good showing during their 3-1 defeat to City last time out. The form of former Barcelona duo Andre Gomes and Lucas Digne has been a huge plus for Marco Silva. When the Portuguese coach arrived, he had an ageing squad to contend with, that needed investment in key areas. Now with Yerry Mina and Richarlison to boot, Everton look strong as they begin a new era. They currently sit eighth in the league table, one point behind Wolves, although a win could take them as high as sixth depending on Manchester United’s result. They are unbeaten in their last six games at Goodison Park, although they have drawn their last two at home.

Paul Tierney is the referee for this game. The Englishman has taken charge of 11 matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 40. As a result, I would recommend a maximum of 50+ points for this game.

Everton are a tough nut to crack on Merseyside but Spurs are in great form. Buoyed from a great week, I think they might just edge a tight encounter.
