Millwall vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Sunday 17th March 2019
The FA Cup, Quarter-Final, The Den

Live on BBC 1 – Kick-Off: 14:00 GMT

Millwall will meet Brighton in FA Cup action this Sunday with a place at Wembley the prize.

The hosts narrowly defeated AFC Wimbledon in the last round to reach the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, Brighton saw off Derby County thanks to two first-half goals.

Millwall, one of the two Championship sides left in the competition, are priced at 13/5 to win by SkyBet. The London based club have not been too convincing in this competition despite reaching this stage. All of their matches have been decided by a one-goal margin. Their most prolific scorer this season has been Lee Gregory with 12 goals in all competitions. The striker will provide an aerial threat for the hosts and is priced at 12/5 to score anytime.

One statistic Millwall will want to keep running is their record against top-flight clubs in the FA Cup. They have won their last five matches against Premier League opposition and are 5/1 to win to nil.

Brighton are favourites for the tie and are priced at 11/10 to win in 90 minutes. This is the second successive season that Brighton have reached this stage of the competition. Their recent form should give them some confidence with three wins from their last five matches. Glenn Murray scored yet again for the Seagulls in their previous outing and could be pivotal is the visitors are to score and is 5/4 to score anytime.

Brighton manager Chris Hughton has a great record against Millwall with two wins and one draw. They are 5.2 to win to nil.

The referee for this match will be Chris Kavanagh. The official has been a regular in the Premier League this season and has averaged 35 booking points per match in the top-flight. With a place in the semi-final up for grabs, it could become a feisty encounter. 50+ booking points is priced at 6/4.

Millwall vs Brighton and Hove Albion will be televised on BBC One and kicks off at 14:00.

Prediction:  Millwall 0-1 Brighton and Hove Albion

– The away sides quality and attacking prowess should be too much for the home side.

Wolves vs Manchester United
Saturday 16th March 2019
The FA Cup, Quarter-Final, Molineaux

Live on BBC One – Kick-Off: 19:55 GMT

Wolves vs Manchester United: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men will be looking to march into the last four of the FA Cup with a win over giant-killers Wolves at Molineux.

The Red Devils suffered a league defeat for the first time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last weekend as they went down 2-0 at Arsenal. David De Gea’s first-half error, punished by Granit Xhaka, and a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang penalty inflicted the damage. However, United are still enjoying their ‘honeymoon’ period under the Norwegian. A safe passage through to the last four could finally sway the owners to give Solskjaer the job on a full-time basis. There is already speculation that a deal is done and will be announced during the international break. On the field, United are very much in the ascendancy, still. A top-four finish is still on the cards, whilst the Champions League draw has pitted them against Barcelona. They’ve won nine of their ten away games under Solskjaer and they’ll fancy their chances at Molineux.

Wolves, however, will come into this match without any fear. They’ve already dumped Liverpool out of the cup, as well as taking points from Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham this season. Last time out, they were seconds away from taking all three points at Stamford Bridge, with a 92nd-minute Eden Hazard equaliser they only negative on another eye-catching display. Raul Jiminez gave Nuno Espirito Santo’s the lead in that game, his seventh goals in his last 10 matches. If they are to cause yet another upset, he will no doubt be at the centre of it.

Martin Atkinson is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 37 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 34.1. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

Manchester United will be desperate to bounce back after their defeat last weekend. Wolves are a very tricky outfit, as proven by their record against the big six. However, Solskjaer’s men will be full strength and are very good on the road. Therefore, I’m backing them to sneak another win.

Wolves vs Manchester United will be televised in the UK live on BBC One with kick-off at 19:55 GMT.

Prediction: Wolves 1-2 Manchester United

Suggested Tips – Wolves vs Manchester United – (BET365):

  • Correct score: Manchester United to win – 2-1 – (link no longer available).

  • Popular RequestABet – Rashford to score outside the area and Manchester United to score a penalty – 150/1.

Match Betting Preview - Swansea City vs Manchester City. Saturday 16h March 2019, FA Cup, Liberty Stadium. Live on BT Sport 2 - Kick-Off: 17:20 GMT.

Swansea City vs Manchester City
Saturday 16th March 2019
The FA Cup, Quarter-Final, Liberty Stadium

Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 17:20 GMT

FA Cup action is back this weekend with favourites Manchester City travelling to South Wales to face championship Swansea City in the quarter-finals.

Both clubs progressed from the last round with the same 4-1 score line. The hosts were rampant in the second half against Brentford whilst Manchester City eventually raced away against Newport County.

Swansea are clear underdogs for this encounter and are priced at 18/1 to win by SkyBet. Graham Potter’s side have a huge task ahead of them that their recent form shows they will struggle with. They have lost 3 or their last five matches and won the other two. However, in this competition they have impressed, especially in the last round. Dan James was a standout performer and scored a memorable, pitch-long goal. His pace is probably the biggest threat to Manchester City’s defence, and he is 5/1 to score anytime.

Manchester City shouldn’t have too many issues this Saturday and are priced at 1/7 to win. Pep Guardiola’s side will not take this tie lightly however some big players may be given a rest after their 7-0 victory over Schalke. They have been rather outstanding across all competitions and are priced at 4/5 to win the FA Cup. Striker Sergio Aguero managed to get a brace in their last outi9ng and will prove a real headache to the hosts inexperienced defence. He is 13/5 to score first on Saturday evening.

In all competitions, City have begun matches strongly and scored first in nine of their last ten matches. SkyBet are offering 1/1 for over 1.5 goals in the first half.

The referee for this match will be Simon Hooper. With a place at Wembley on the cards, both sides will want to give all they have so I’d expect the man in the middle to be busy with the cards.

Swansea City vs Manchester City will be televised on BT Sport 2 in the UK and kicks off at 17:20 GMT.

Prediction: Swansea City 1-4 Manchester City

– The away side will have no issues against an inconsistent Swansea side.

Suggested Tips – Swansea City vs Manchester City – (BET365):

  • Correct score: Manchester City to win – 4-1 – (link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Gabriel Jesus – (link no longer available).
  • Anytime Goalscorer – Daniel James – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Swansea City vs Manchester City – (SKYBET):

  • Correct Score Group Betting – Manchester City To Win – 3-0, 3-1, or 3-2 – 9/1
  • Popular RequestABet – Manchester City to win the 1st half, Over 1.5 goals in the 1st half and 6+ 1st half corners – 4/1.
  • Popular RequestABet – Jesus, Sane & Mahrez to score and Manchester City 4-0 – 33/1.
  • Popular RequestABet – Jesus to score a header and Sane to score from outside the area – 125/1.

Match Betting Preview - Watford vs Crystal Palace. Saturday 16h March 2019, FA Cup, Vicarage Road. Sky Sports Football HD - Kick-Off: 12:30 GMT.

Watford vs Crystal Palace
Saturday 16th March 2019
The FA Cup, Quarter-Final, Vicarage Road

Live on BT Sport 1 – Kick-Off: 12:15 GMT

Watford vs Crystal Palace: Watford host Crystal Palace in all-Premier League affair as both sides look to secure a place in the last four of the FA Cup.

The Hornets come into this game in fantastic form, despite a 3-1 reverse at Manchester City last weekend. Raheem Sterling’s controversial opener was then followed up with another double to complete a hat-trick. Watford boss Javi Gracia made the controversial decision to make seven changes for that game, with this fixture in mind. So often we see managers making wholesale changes in the FA Cup, it was refreshing to see a mid-table manager do things the other way around. Watford have little more to play for in the league, so focusing on this competition makes perfect sense. With a day at Wembley up for grabs, this is a huge chance for them to some history for their fans. They’re unbeaten in four games at Vicarage Road and were victorious the last time these two met in January – a 2-1 win at Selhurst Park.

Palace have been suffering from a lack of consistency in recent weeks. After beating Burnley impressively a fortnight ago, the Eagles were then outed 2-1 by their close rivals Brighton and Hove Albion. Palace have been a much stronger side on their travels recently, which bodes well for this clash. They are unbeaten in their last four away games, winning three of those. Michy Batshuayi is now coming into the fore after finding his feet at his new club. The Belgian frontman has two goals in his last four games. It’s five league games without a clean sheet for Palace, however, which may be a concern for Roy Hodgson. Similarly, Watford are four without a shut out, which should make for an open, exciting spectacle. Palace reached the FA Cup final in 2016 and their fans would love another opportunity to make it to Wembley.

Kevin Friend is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 33 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 38.9. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

Both of these will sense this a real opportunity to reach Wembley, with most of the big guns out of the competition. Watford’s form, particularly at home, has been great recently. As a result, they are my tip to reach the last four.

Watford vs Crystal Palace will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 1 with kick-off at 12:15 GMT.

Prediction: Watford 2-1 Crystal Palace

Suggested Tips – Watford vs Crystal Palace – (BET365):

  • Correct score: Watford to win – 2-1 – (link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Troy Deeney – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Watford vs Crystal Palace – (SKYBET):

  • Price Boost – Michy Batshuayi and Andre Gray to both score – 9/1
  • Winning Margin – Watford Exactly 1+ Goals 9/2
  • Popular RequestABet – Deeney to score a header and Crystal Palace to score a penalty – 200/1.
  • Scorecast Boost (Double Chance) – Watford v Crystal Palace -Michy Batshuayi to score first and either Draw 1-1 or Crystal Palace to win 2-1 20/1

Match Betting Preview - Leeds United vs Sheffield United. Friday 16h March 2019, The Championship, Elland Road. Sky Sports Football HD - Kick-Off: 12:30 GMT.

Leeds United vs Sheffield United
Saturday 16th March 2019
The Championship, Elland Road

Live on Sky Sports Football/Sky Sports Main Event– Kick-Off: 12:30 GMT

Leeds United and Sheffield United meet this weekend in a match that could have a huge effect on the automatic promotion places in the SkyBet Championship.

Both teams are in red hot form entering this match. The home side have won their last three matches and have scored eight unanswered goals. Meanwhile, the visitors have won six of their last eight matches and drawn the other two.

Leeds United are favourites for this match and are priced at 21/20 to win by SkyBet. Marcelo Bielsa has been making plenty of improvements at Leeds united and one noticeable is their form at Elland Road. They have won eight of their last ten home matches and beat their opponents last time they met there in 2010. A win would see Leeds jump five points ahead of Sheffield United and maybe overtake Norwich in top spot. Pablo Hernandez has been in great form and grabbed a brace in their last outing away at Reading. The Spaniard is priced at 14/1 to score from outside the area.

Leeds defence has been incredibly impressive since the turn of the year. They have conceded just one goal from open play and are priced at 5/2 to win to nil.

Sheffield United are priced at very tempting odds of 5/2 to win. Chris Wilder’s side are unbeaten in nine matches as they are pushing for a top two spot. However, their away form has been their downfall at times as their clinical edge seems to disappear. They have drawn three of their last five away matches. Billy Sharp has been the talisman this season with 22 goals and is priced at 15/8.

The referee for this match will be David Coote. The official has not been in charge of too many Championship matches however has averaged 36.1 booking points. Expect cards due to the calibre of the match – 60+ booking points is 5/4.

Leeds United vs Sheffield United will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Football with kick off at 12:30 GMT.

Prediction: Leeds United 2 – Sheffield United 1

– The home advantage could see Bielsa’s side rally on in this promotion six-pointer.

Suggested Tips – Leeds United vs Sheffield United – (BET365):

  • Correct score: Leeds United to win – 2-1 – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Leeds United vs Sheffield United – (SKYBET):

  • Price Boost – Patrick Bamford and Billy Sharpe to both score – 9/1
  • Leeds United Price Boost – Leeds United to win and BTTS yes 9/2
  • Total Goals, Corners and Cards – Over 1.5 goals, over 8.5 corners, over 25 booking points. – 1/1.
  • Popular RequestABet – Sharp to score a header and Klich to score from outside the area – 100/1
  • RequestABet Specials 80/1 and above – Bamford & Jansson to score a header – 200/1.

Match Betting Preview - Arsenal vs Rennes. Thursday 14th March 2019, UEFA Europa League - Round of 16, Emirates Stadium. Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Arsenal vs Rennes
Thursday 14th March 2019, Emirates Stadium
UEFA Europa League – Round of 16

Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT

Arsenal are at home to Rennes in the UEFA Europa League as they will look to put right the 3-1 deficit they suffer after the first-leg.

It all seemed to be routine for Arsenal in the first leg as they went 1-0 up early through Alex Iwobi, however a red card for Sokratis saw them crumble. Goals from Benjamin Bourigeaud, Ismaila Sarr and a Monreal own goal saw them fall to the feet of the French side.

Arsenal are heavy favourites for this one with the bookmaker as SkyBet have priced them at 3/10 to win. They are also still in the running to qualify and are priced at 10/11 to reach the next round. Unai Emery’s side have made their home ground a fortress this season and have lost just 2 of 23 matches there. Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been enjoying his first season in London and got on the scoresheet in their last outing against Manchester United. He is price boosted to 11/4 to score first.

Many are putting the first-leg down as a blip for the Gunners. Their record in this competition has been impressive as they have kept a clean sheet in six of their last eight Europa League matches. They are 5/4 to win to nil.

Rennes are under dogs for this match and are priced at 17/2 to win at the Emirates Stadium. Rennes will be going to the Emirates knowing if they can hold Arsenal to a clean sheet or just one goal they will progress. They made a great account of themselves last time and midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa caused loads of problems. The trickster is 4/1 to score anytime.

The referee for this match will be Latvian Andris Treimanis. The official could have a lot on his hands after the first-leg antics and with the tie still wide open. Expect cards.

Arsenal vs Rennes will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 2 and kicks off at 20:00.

Prediction: Arsenal 2 – 0 Rennes

7/1 – 2-0 Arsenal – The London sides home form should be enough to see them marginally qualify.

Suggested Tips – Arsenal vs Rennes – (BET365)

  • Correct Score – Arsenal to win 2-0 – (link no longer available).
  • Anytime Goalscorer – Hatem Ben Arfa – (link no longer available).

Dynamo Kiev vs Chelsea
Thursday 15th March 2019, Olimpiyskiy National Sport Complex
UEFA Europa League – Round of 16

Live on BT Sport 3 – Kick-Off: 17:55 GMT

Chelsea will travel to Ukraine for the second leg of their UEFA Europa League tie with Dynamo Kiev.

The visitors ran out winners in the first leg at Stamford Bridge in a 3-0 win. Goals from Pedro, Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi were the difference. The Ukrainian outfit will hope for a much better showing if they are to miraculously pull this one back – as they failed to have a single shot on target in London.

Dynamo Kiev are under dogs for this encounter despite having home advantage and SkyBet have priced them at 5/2. Dynamo have a very tough contest ahead of them and one that seems a little too hard to conquer. However, their home form has been rather emphatic in their last five matches. They have won four of those with ease.

One man hoping to increase his campaign tally and see his sides defeat the odds is attacker Benjamin Verbic. The striker is his sides top goal scorer in the competition with three goals and he is priced at 16/5 to score anytime.

Chelsea are favourites for this match and are priced at a tempting 11/10. Maurizio Sarri’s side enter this match in good form with three wins in their last four matches. Last time out, they had three wingers score and Willian was a stand-out performer. The Brazilian is likely to start on Thursday and is price boosted at 9/1 to score from outside the area.

They have been in top form in this competition also and three of their last four Europa League competitions have seen them score 3 or more without reply. They are 5/2 to win to nil.

The referee for this match will be Tobias Steiler. There was very little trouble in the last match between these two. There was only 20+ booking points awarded. However, with it being the second-leg there is more on the line and it is likely to see more cards.

Dynamo Kiev vs Chelsea will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 3 with kick-off at 17:55 GMT.

Prediction: Dynamo Kiev 1 vs 2 Chelsea

– The visitors will want to cement their place in the next round.

Match Betting Preview - Liverpool vs Bayern Munich. Wednesday 13th March 2019, UEFA Champions League - Round of 16, Allianz Arena. Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Bayern Munich vs Liverpool
Wednesday 13th March 2019, Allianz Arena
UEFA Champions League – Round of 16

BT Sport 2 – 20:00 GMT

Bayern Munich vs Liverpool: Last year’s finalists Liverpool head to the Allianz Arena hoping to cause an upset against Bayern Munich in a finely-poised knockout tie.

The Reds have dipped in form recently, which has allowed Manchester City to steal the march on them in the race for the title. It’s been a tough run for Liverpool, who have dropped six points in their last six games. They held a seven-point cushion in December but the pressure seems to have told. They were back to winning ways on Sunday, though, battling back from behind to beat Burnley 4-2. It was a much-needed brace for the returning Roberto Firmino, making his first start in a fortnight after injury. Sadio Mane also continued his fine form with a double, taking his tally for the season to 17. If Jurgen Klopp’s side are to get any joy in Germany, they will need their front three to be on the ball. If they can roll back a year to the swift counter-attacking side we saw last season, they could cause Bayern some real issues on the break.

Bayern will be hoping to make the most of home advantage, with the score at 0-0. Since that draw, Niko Kovac’s side have won all three of their league games, scoring 12 times and conceding once. Those results have seen them recover their deficit in the Bundesliga title race, much as City have in England. Robert Lewandowski notched a brace in their 6-0 mauling of Wolfsburg on Saturday. The Pole has four goals in his last two games and 29 for the season. In this vein of form, he is one of the best number nine’s in Europe, so Liverpool will have to be on guard against him. The battle between Lewandowski and Virgil van Dijk could well decide this tie.

Daniele Orsato is the referee for this game. The Italian official plies his trade in Serie A. He has averaged 5.77 cards per game, across 14 league matches this season. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 60+ booking points, for this fixture.

This is such a tough game to call. My gut is telling me that Liverpool’s pace on the break could be a defining factor, as Bayern will try and dominate possession. This game could go either way, but I’m going to back the Reds on away goals.

Bayern Munich vs Liverpool will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 2 with kick off at 20:00 GMT.

Prediction: Bayern Munich 1-1 Liverpool

Match Betting Preview - Manchester City vs Schalke. Tuesday 12th March 2019, UEFA Champions League - Round of 16, Etihad Stadium. Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Manchester City vs Schalke
Wednesday 12th March 2019, Etihad Stadium
UEFA Champions League – Round of 16

BT Sport 2 – 20:00 GMT

Manchester City vs Schalke: Manchester City will be hoping to make the most of home advantage as they welcome Schalke for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League knockout tie.

The Citizens are huge favourites for this tie, especially after beating Schalke 3-2 in Germany three weeks ago, with ten men. Raheem Sterling’s last-minute winner has set Pep Guardiola’s men nicely for this tie. They know that the visitors have to score at least twice, without reply, to go through to the next round. City, themselves, are in fantastic form. They beat Watford 3-1 at the weekend, with the Englishman bagging a hat-trick. That treble has stoked talks for Sterling to win the ‘PFA player of the year’ award. With 20 goals in all competitions and countless assists, there are few matching his numbers this season. City have won their last nine home matches, in all competitions. They’ve only lost once at the Etihad in the Champions League too, which came on matchday one against Lyon.

Although they had a man advantage, Schalke showed last week that they can, on their day, match most sides in Europe. They have an uphill task as they bid to pull off a remarkable comeback, away at the champions of England. However, after scoring twice in Germany, they will feel confident they can cause City’s defence some problems. The main issue will be keeping the ball out, at the other end. The German outfit are without a win in eight games in all competitions, losing seven of those. Given their form and City’s, this would be one of the greatest feats in the competition’s history, if they were to win.

Clément Turpin is the referee for this game. The French official plies his trade in Ligue Un. He has averaged 3.21 cards per game, across 14 league matches this season. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ booking points, for this fixture.

Manchester City vs Schalke will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 2 with kick-off at 20:00 GMT.

The home team have been relentless in recent weeks. Combine that with Schalke’s abysmal form and City’s lead, there is only one winner.

Prediction: Manchester City 3-1 Schalke

Arsenal vs Manchester United
Sunday 10th March
 2019
FA Premier League, Emirates Stadium

Live on Sky Sports Football – Kick-Off: 16:30 GMT

Arsenal vs Manchester United: Arsenal and Manchester United meet at the Emirates Stadium in a head-to-head battle that could boost either sides hopes of finishing fourth in the Premier League table.

The Gunners could be even further ahead in the race for fourth but for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s late penalty miss at Wembley. The Gunners’ top scorer missed the chance to claim all three points for his side in the 90th minute of last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham. Instead, they go into this game a point behind Manchester United, who hold the elusive final Champions League spot. It was a good performance from Unai Emery’s side, who looked would have claimed the win thanks to Aaron Ramsey’s goal, had it not been for Shkodran Mustafi’s brainless push on Harry Kane. The point means they’re unbeaten in four league games and they’ve also won their last four at home. Their last defeat at the Emirates came against United, in the FA Cup.

Manchester United will come into this game buoyed by their dramatic, last-gasp win at PSG in midweek. Marcus Rashford’s stoppage-time penalty ensured the Red Devils went through on away goals. That makes them the first side ever to progress to the next round after losing the first leg 2-0 at home. That win only further strengthened Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s push for the job on a full-time basis. To win at the Prince des Parc in such a manner, with ten first-team players injured and Paul Pogba suspended, is some feat. Romelu Lukaku continued his fine form with a third brace in as many games. The big Belgian is back firing in the goals and has formed a strong partnership up front with Rashford in recent games.

Jonathan Moss is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 32 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 39.5. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

Manchester United will be on cloud nine after their win over PSG. However, with so many players injured, it will be a very similar side that plays on Sunday.  Arsenal are also in good form, which makes this a tough one to call, however, I’m going to side with a (very) narrow away win.

Arsenal vs Manchester United will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Football with kick off at 16:30 GMT.
