Liverpool vs Burnley
Sunday 10th March 2019
FA Premier League, Anfield

Live on BT Sport 1 – Kick-Off: 12:00 GMT

Liverpool vs Burnley: Liverpool will be hoping to close the gap on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table when they host strugglers Burnley at Anfield.

The Reds fell to second spot after last week’s 0-0 draw away at Everton. With City playing on Saturday night, the gap between Liverpool and City could be four points ahead of this game. Therefore, this is a must-win game for Jurgen Klopp’s side, as they look to re-establish themselves in the title race. It’s been a tough run for Liverpool, who have dropped six points in their last five games. They held a seven-point cushion in December but the pressure seems to have told. Injuries haven’t helped matters – Roberto Firmino returned to action off the bench at Goodison, whilst Dejan Lovren is still out. Liverpool’s main issues seems to be a lack of creativity in midfield. These last few games have been the first where they look to have missed Philippe Coutinho. They also missed out on Nabil Fekir in the summer, whilst Nabi Keita has failed to live up to expectations, so far. Liverpool are unbeaten at Anfield this season and have won four of their last five league home fixtures.

Burnley suffered disappointing back-to-back defeats last week, after being in fine form. The Clarets’ 3-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace has left them in 16th spot, five points above 18th-placed Cardiff City. Prior to those results, Sean Dyche’s side had experienced an upturn in form, with a run of seven games unbeaten. It’s also remembering that Burnley beat Tottenham not so long ago, and claimed a point away at Manchester United, in a game they should have won. That being said, this is a much tougher task. Their defence has recorded one clean sheet from their last nine games, which should be a major concern heading to Anfield.

Andre Marriner is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 34 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 32.5. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

Liverpool will be desperate to get back to winning ways after a week of intense scrutiny. At Anfield, they have been imperious this season. As a result, I’m backing them to bounce back, in emphatic style.

Liverpool vs Burnley will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 1 with kick-off at 12:00 GMT.

Prediction: Liverpool 3-0 Burnley

Birmingham City vs Aston Villa
Sunday 10th March 2019
The Championship, St Andrews Stadium

Live on Sky Sports Football/Sky Sports Main Event– Kick-Off: 12:00 GMT

The second city derby is back for its 128th rendition as Birmingham City will host Aston Villa in SkyBet Championship action this Sunday.

The hosts have surprised many this season as they still remain contenders for a play-off spot. However, their last outing will need rectifying as they lost 2-0 to Hull. Aston villa have been incredibly inconsistent this season however their previous match saw them batter Derby County 4-0.

Birmingham City are 13/8 to win this match on SkyBet – with recent form going in their favour. Garry Monk has set out his side to prioritise defending and catch teams in the break. This tactic has worked very well this season however in this derby, the tension means it can turn chaotic. Luckily for him, he has February’s player of the month on his side in Che Adams. The striker has 21 goals for the season and is priced at 7/5 to score anytime.

The Blues opened the scoring in the last derby however went on to lose 4-2. They are priced at 1/1 to score first by SkyBet.

The bookmakers just cannot split these two and SkyBet have also priced Aston Villa are 13/8 to win. Aston Villa have the capability to be much higher up in the table, however they have struggled form. They are boosted by the return of Jack Grealish, who scored in the last derby match. Not only that, but he scored a contender for goal of the season in their last match against Derby County and is priced at a tempting 4/1 to score anytime.

Tammy Abraham has been the most prolific in claret this season and has 21 goals in the league. He is 8/5 to score anytime.

The referee for this match will be Tim Robinson. This tie could be a recipe for booking points; as Robinson has averaged 44.8 booking points this season and their last 2 outings have seen over 50 booking points.

The match will be televised on Sky Sports Football HD and kicks off at 12:00.

Prediction: Birmingham City 1-2 Aston Villa

  • If the visitors can perform how they did against Derby, they will have just enough over their rivals.

Suggested Tips – Birmingham City vs Aston Villa – (BET365)

  • Correct Score – Aston Villa win 2-1 – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Birmingham City vs Aston Villa – (SKYBET)

  • Price Boost – Both Players to Score – Tammy Abraham and Che Adams – 15/2.
  • Correct Score Group Betting – Aston Villa to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 – 5/2
  • Popular RequestABets – Over 1.5 goals, 5+ Birmingham corners, 3+ Aston Villa corners and 10+ booking points each team – 15/8
  • Penalty Specials – A Penalty to be taken – 5/2.

Match Betting Preview - Manchester City vs Watford. Saturday 9th March 2019, FA Premier League, Etihad Stadium. Live on BT Sport 1 - Kick-Off: 17:30 GMT.

Manchester City vs Watford
Saturday 9th March 2019
The Premier League, Etihad Stadium

Live on BT Sport 1 – 17:30 GMT

Manchester City vs Watford: League-leaders Manchester City will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to four points when they host Watford on Saturday evening.

Pep Guardiola’s side have an outright lead once again at the league’s summit, thanks to Liverpool’s 0-0 draw with Everton last Sunday. City now have a one-point lead, having found themselves seven points behind only three months ago. It’s been some turn around form the champions, who have been relentless since the turn of the year. Their 1-0 win over Bournemouth last week didn’t quite tell the whole story. City had 83% possession in that game and prevented the Cherries having a single shot, on or off target – the first time that has ever happened to a home team in the Premier League. The Citizens have kept clean sheets in each of their last three games and five in seven games in all competitions. That improvement at the back has been the catalyst to allow their forward players to win matches.

Watford come into this after a dramatic 2-1 win over Leicester last Sunday. Andre Gray’s stoppage-time winner ensured all three points for the Hornets. It was their fifth win in six games, in all competitions. The only blight on that record was 5-0 drubbing at Liverpool, the last big side they played. Javi Gracia’s team sit eighth in the table, level on points with Wolves who sit in seventh. Therefore, European football is a major possibility, with only goal difference separating them from being ‘the best of the rest’. Watford have conceded one goal or fewer in five of their last six games, registering three clean sheets. The Hornets have also lost just two of their last eight matches on the road.

Martin Atkinson is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 29 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 39.1. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

Manchester City are in such strong form right now, it’s hard to see past them. Watford are a side capable of making life difficult, however, I can’t see anything but a City win.

Manchester City vs Watford will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 1 with kick-off at 18:30.

Prediction: Manchester City 2-0 Watford

Suggested Tips – Manchester City vs Watford – (BET365):

  • Correct score: Manchester City to win – 2-0 – (link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Sergio Aguero – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Manchester City vs Watford – (SKYBET):

  • Both Players to Score – Raheem Sterling and David Silva – 11/2.
  • Under/Over 2.5 Goals – Under – 9/4.
  • Popular RequestABet – Aguero to score a header and Sane to score from outside the area – 150/1.
  • Popular RequestABet – BTTS, 4+ Watford corners, Kompany to be carded and 10+ booking points each team – 33/1.
  • RequestABet Insurance – Goal scored in both halves, 4+ Manchester City corners, 4+ Watford corners and 20+ booking points each team – 18/1.

Crystal Palace vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Saturday 9th March 2019
FA Premier League, Selhurst Park

Live on Sky Sports Premier League HD – Kick-Off: 12:30 GMT

Crystal Palace will host relegation threatened Brighton and Hove Albion in Premier League action this Saturday lunchtime.

Roy Hodgson’s side enter the match in promising form with three wins from their last five matches. Brighton are also on a high after a narrow 1-0 victory over Huddersfield in their last outing.

Crystal Palace are favourites for this match and are priced at 5/6 to win the match by SkyBet. The home side were in dire straits just a few weeks back but that recent run of form has seen them climb above their opponents in the table. One man who has been key to their success, when it has come, has been Wilfried Zaha. The striker is in great form with five goals in his last five matches. He is 15/8 to score anytime.

Seven of the hosts eight last league matches have seen both teams score. They are 3/1 to win and both teams to score.

Brighton are priced at 18/5 to win this match away from home. Brighton are in danger of relegation, with looking over their shoulder the priority. However, their last outing saw them get a vital win against bottom of the table. They will find it much harder to break down Palace’s defence however do have Glenn Murray who has scored 10 goals this season. Murray is 2/1 to score anytime and add to his goal tally.

The Eagles won their last meeting with their opponents to a 3-1 score line. They are a huge 50/1 to repeat this feat.

The referee for this match will be Craig Pawson. The official has not been afraid to show his cards this season and has averaged 43 booking points in the Premier League.

The match will be televised on Sky Sports Premier League HD and kicks off at 12:30.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 2-0 Brighton and Hove Albion

– The home side have looked impressive recently and have players that can cause headaches for Brighton’s defence.

Suggested Tips – Crystal Palace vs Brighton and Hove Albion – (BET365):

  • Correct score: Crystal Palace to win – 2-0 – (link no longer available).

Match Betting Preview - Norwich City vs Swansea City. Friday 8th March 2019, The Championship, Carrow Road. Sky Sports Football HD - Kick-Off: 19:45 GMT.

Norwich City vs Swansea City
Friday 8th March 2019
The Championship, Carrow Road

Live on Sky Sports Football/Sky Sports Main Event– Kick-Off: 19:45 GMT

Norwich City vs Swansea City: League-leaders Norwich City host mid-table Swansea City as they look to extend their lead the top of the Championship table with three points.

The Canaries moved two points clear at the division’s summit last weekend with a 3-1 win away at Millwall. That win has given Daniel Farke’s side a four-point gap over third-placed Sheffield United in the bid for automatic promotion. 24-goal striker Teemu Pukki came up with their third to cap off a fine away win. Norwich have performed above expectations in the league this season, yet don’t look like falling away. Given the inexperience and youth within Farke’s side, achieving promotion would be a phenomenal achievement. Norwich’s main strength is that their goals are spread out across the side. Pukki is the leading marksman but with Onel Hernandez, Marco Steipermann, Jordan Rhodes and Mario Vrancic, they have other outlets too. At Carrow Road, Norwich are unbeaten in 2019, winning three of their last four games.

Swansea have endured a turbulent first season back in the Championship. Graham Potter’s side are the kings of inconsistency and sit marooned in mid-table. The Swans are 14th in the table, seven points off the top six. They’ve won five of their last ten games in all competitions, losing three and drawing two. It’s been a season of transition under Graham Potter, with the club selling a lot of their key assets. Their last league win on the road came on New Year’s day away at Reading, which is a run the club need to address. The off-the-field distraction haven’t helped matters at the Liberty Stadium either, with Hugh Jenkins stepping down as chairman after a number of years. In Oli McBurnie, however, they have a striker capable of winning them matches. The Scotsman has 18 goals this season, in his debut campaign as the club’s first-choice number nine.

Rob Jones is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 35 second-tier matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 35.1. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

Norwich will see this game as a real chance to further stretch their lead on their promotion rivals. Swansea’s poor form on the road could also prove a major issue for them. As a result, I’m siding with the hosts to get all the three points.

Norwich City vs Swansea City will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sport Football with Kick Off at 19:45 GMT.

Prediction: Norwich City 3-1 Swansea City

Suggested Tips – Norwich City vs Swansea City – (BET365)

Suggested Tips – Norwich City vs Swansea City – (SKYBET)

  • Price Boost – Full Time Result and Both Teams to Score – Norwich and Yes – 15/8.
  • Both Players to Score – Oliver McBurnie and Timur Pukki both to score – 7/1.
  • Price Boost – Teemu Pukki to score a brace – 6/1.

Match Betting Preview - Chelsea vs Dynamo Kiev. Thursday 14th February 2019, UEFA Europa League - Round of 16, Stamford Bridge. Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Chelsea vs Dynamo Kiev
Thursday 7th March 2019, Stamford Bridge
UEFA Europa League – Round of 16

BT Sport 2 – 20:00 GMT.

Chelsea vs Dynamo Kiev: Chelsea will be hoping to grab a third consecutive win in all competitions when they take on Dynamo Kiev at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues will be buoyed by back-to-back wins over Tottenham and Fulham. Those results have left them sixth in the Premier League table, two points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, with a game in hand. These two wins have ensured Maurizio Sarri’s side have a fighting chance of finishing in the top four this seas. Securing Champions League football, via any route, has to be the priority for the Blues this season. That puts more emphasis on winning the Europa League, in case they miss out on the top four.

With just 16 teams remaining, there will be an onus on Sarri to name a strong team, to avoid any slip-ups. Gonzalo Higuain will be rested, despite grabbing his third goal for the club at the weekend, but Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Willian are all expected to start the game. The Blues are unbeaten at Stamford Bridge in the competition this season and have won six of their last seven home matches in all competitions.

Dynamo Kiev head into this tie as massive underdogs. To make things even tougher, they have never won a European match on English soil, with the Ukrainians drawing three and losing 11 of their 14 previous visits – most recently a 0-0 draw at the Etihad against Manchester City in the Champions League last 16 back in March 2016. In addition, Dynamo Kiev have not won any of their last nine first-leg knockout matches in the Europa League (D6 L3). In the league, Kiev sit second, seven points adrift of rivals Shakhtar Donetsk. They’ve won their last four league games, conceding just once.

Slavko Vinčić is the referee for this game. He has officiated two Europa League games already this season, issuing nine yellow cards in the process. Overall, he has shown 90 cards in 18 games, averaging at 5 per match. As a result, I’d recommend a maximum of 60+ total booking points for this fixture.

Chelsea are rightly strong favourites for this game. They are by far and away the stronger side, on paper. Kiev won’t make things easy for them, however, I still fancy the Blues to get all three points.

Chelsea vs Dynamo Kiev will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 2 HD and kicks off at 20:00.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Dynamo Kiev

Suggested Tips – Chelsea vs Dynamo Kiev – (BET365)

  • Correct Score – Chelsea to win 2-0 – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Chelsea vs Dynamo Kiev – (SKYBET)

  • Scorecast Boost (Double Chance) – Oliver Giroud to score first and Chelsea to win 2-0 or 3-0 – 10/1
  • Willian to score and win – 13/5.
  • RequestABet – Europa League RequestABets – Thu 7th Mar – 8pm games – Each of Chelsea, Napoli and Valencia to score 2+ goals 5/2. (NAP – located in Europa League Specials on Sky Bet – not the match itself).
  • Popular RequestABet – Willian to score from outside the area and Chelsea to score a penalty – 33/1.
  • RequestABet Specials up to 10/1 – Chelsea to win, Chelsea to score 2+ goals, Hazard 1+ shots on target and 20+ booking points each team – 7/2.

Match Betting Preview - Rennes vs Arsenal. Thursday 7th March 2019, UEFA Europa League - Round of 16, Roazhan Park. Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 17:55 GMT.

Rennes vs Arsenal
Thursday 7th March 2019, Roazhan Park
UEFA Europa League – Round of 16

BT Sport 2 – 17:55 GMT.

Arsenal’s venture in the UEFA Europa League continues as they travel to Rennes in the 1st leg of their Round of 16 tie.

The home side have made hard work of their European campaign as they scrapped through the group stages. However, they got the better of Spanish side Real Betis in the last round to earn their place in this round. Arsenal also didn’t make it straight forward. Unai Emery’s side needed a second leg routing to qualify after losing their first leg in the last round to BATE Borisov.

Rennes are the under dogs for this tie despite having home advantage and SkyBet have priced them at 11/4 to win. The French outfit enter this match in some nice form. They have lost just two of their last ten matches and their last outing saw them progress to the semi-finals of the Coupe de France. One man who has been key to them with his tricky feet and eye for goal has been ex-Newcastle United midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa. The Frenchman will be the main threat against Arsenal and is 13/5 to score anytime.

Arsenal are priced at 1/1 to win this match. Unai Emery will fancy his chances of leading Arsenal all the way to the final of this competition. Their away record in the Europa League is impressive, having not lost their last 12 matches away in France. Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be hoping he can add to his impressive season tally with a goal this Thursday. The striker is 11/8 to score anytime.

Last season in this competition, five of Arsenal’s eight knockout matches saw three goals or more. SkyBet are offering 2/1 for Arsenal to win and over 2.5 goals in the match.

The referee for this match will be Slovakian official Ivan Kruzliak. Both the clubs last competitive match saw over 60 booking points. I’d expect some cards in this match.

Rennes vs Arsenal will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 2 HD and kicks off at 17:55.

Prediction: Rennes 0 – 3 Arsenal

– This shouldn’t be a tough match for the visitors who have too much quality.

Match Betting Preview - Paris Saint Germain vs Manchester United. Wednesday 6th March 2019, UEFA Champions League - Round of 16, Second Leg, Parc Des Princes. Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Manchester United
Wednesday 6th March 2019, Parc des Princes
UEFA Champions League – Round of 16 – 2nd Leg

BT Sport 2 – 20:00 GMT

Paris St Germain vs Manchester United: Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to add to their two-goal advantage when they take on Manchester United in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 tie.

Thomas Tuchel’s side head into this match in control of their own destiny. Since beating United three weeks ago, they have won all five of their games, with an aggregate score of +12. Those results have left them 17 points clear of second-placed Lille, with a game in hand. With the domestic league all wrapped up, PSG can now focus Champions League glory. They are yet to taste defeat at home in the league this season and have won their last seven games at the Parc des Princes, in all competitions. Edison Cavani and Neymar are still out, meaning Tuchel will once against field Kylian Mbappe as a central striker. Angel Di Maria starred in the first leg and will be out to prove a point once again against his former employers.

Manchester United claimed back-to-back wins this week over Crystal Palace and Southampton to set them up for their trip for Paris. They will be without Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez for this game after the Chilean was ruled out for six to eight weeks with a knee ligament injury. United come into this having won their last eight away games – a club record. If any club has the form to defeat PSG at home, it could well be Manchester United. Injuries won’t make it easy but their resurgence under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can’t go unnoticed, especially on the road.

Damir Skomina is the referee for this game. The Slovenian official took charge of Real Madrid’s win over Ajax in the last round, as well as last season’s semi-final between Liverpool and Roma. The experienced official has averaged 4.67 yellow cards per game this season. Therefore, I’d advise a maximum of 40+ total booking points this season.

United have left themselves a lot to do in Paris. PSG are formidable at home but both sides have considerable injury problems. I think United have left themselves too much to do over the two legs, but I fancy them to still get something in this game.

Paris St Germain vs Manchester United will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 2.

Prediction: Paris Saint-Germain 1-1 Manchester United

Suggested Tips – Paris Saint-Germain  vs Manchester United – (BET365)

  • Correct Score – Draw 1-1 – (link no longer available)].

Match Betting Preview - Borussia Dortmund vs Tottenham Hotspur. Tuesday 5th March 2019, UEFA Champions League - Round of 16, Second Leg, Signal Iduna Park. Live on BT Sport 2 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Borussia Dortmund vs Tottenham Hotspur
Tuesday 5th March 2019, Signal Iduna Park
UEFA Champions League – Round of 16 – 2nd Leg

BT Sport 2 – 20:00 GMT

Tottenham Hotspur are back in UEFA Champions League action as they travel to Borussia Dortmund in hopes of retaining their aggregate lead.

The first leg at Wembley Stadium saw Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs run away with the match as they came out 3-0 victors. The Germans have a huge task ahead of them, with history showing just seven teams out of 130 in the history of this competition have turned around a 3-0 loss in the first-leg.

Dortmund are favourites to win this match from SkyBet, who have priced them at 10/11. However, the bookmakers don’t fancy their chances at qualifying for the next round as they are priced at 8/1 to win over the two legs. The Germans are going through a tricky patch given how impressive their season has been. They have just one win from their last five matches however one man hoping to turn their fortunes will be poster boy Marco Reus. The winger has been declared fit for the match and has managed six goals in his last nine matches. He is 11/8 to score anytime.

The two teams last five meetings have all resulted in goals being scored, with at least 3 goals scored. They are 21/10 to win and for both teams to score.

Tottenham are not favourites for the second-leg as many expect them to defend their lead. SkyBet have priced them at 11/4 to win at full-time. Spurs did themselves a huge favour by keeping a clean sheet in the first leg as Dortmund have no away goals. If they manage to bag a goal in this leg than the tie should be all over. Everyone supporting Spurs will be expecting Harry Kane to deliver the goods as his record of three goals in three games against Dortmund makes him a hot contender to score. He is 7/5 to score anytime.

The referee for this match will be Dutch official Danny Makkelie. The man in the middle could have his work cut-out, as many knockout matches see plenty of cards. 50+ booking points is priced at 11/8.

SkyBet Championship, Hillsborough

Live on Sky Sports Football HD – Kick-Off: 19:45 GMT

Sheffield Wednesday vs Sheffield United: Sheffield United make the short trip across Sheffield to city rivals Sheffield Wednesday on Monday night looking to cement their place in the Championship’s automatic promotion places.

The Blades head into this game second in the table, ahead of this weekend’s action. With Leeds and Norwich both in action before United, they could drop to third place depending on results. Last time out, Chris Wilder’s men recorded an impressive 1-0 away at fellow promotion hopefuls West Brom. January recruit Gary Madine will be hoping to make an impact on his return to Hillsborough. The on-loan Cardiff striker was a huge part of the Wednesday side that pipped the Blades to promotion in 2011 but could end up lining up against them on Monday. The target man has two goals in seven appearances and has struck up a good partnership with top scorer Billy Sharp. The last two Steel City derbies have finished 0-0 at Bramall Lane however the fixture at S6 in September 2017 served up a cracker, with United winning 4-2 on that day.

Wednesday come into this fixture in their best form of the season. Steve Bruce is unbeaten since taking over in February, with three wins and three draws to his name. Back-to-back wins over Swansea City and Brentford have lifted the Owls to 12th, just six points behind the play-off places. Whilst a top six finish seems highly unlikely, their good form hasn’t gone unnoticed. It’s just one defeat in 11 league games since Mid-December and nine games at home without defeat. Steven Fletcher is enjoying his best goalscoring run in the side, with three in his last two games. Adam Reach is another in-form danger man for the Blades to keep an eye on. The winger has been involved in more Championship goals than any other midfielder since 2017/18, with 12 goals and 17 assists. His nine goals this season make him Wednesday’s joint-top scorer.

Peter Bankes is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 36 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 54.2. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 70+ total points for this fixture.

This should be a cracking game between two in-form teams. United will be deserved favourites to win but Wednesday’s recent revival, particularly at home, will make it interesting. As a result, I’m plumping for a score draw.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Sheffield United will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Football with kick-off at 19:45 GMT.
