Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur
Wednesday 27th February 2019
FA Premier League,  Stamford Bridge

Live on BT Sport 1 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT

Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur: Chelsea will be hoping to bounce back from their Carabao Cup final defeat when they host Tottenham at Stamford Bridge, hoping to move back into the top four.

Maurizio Sarri’s side put on a much-improved display in the capital after taking Manchester City to penalties. Sarri, who is under massive pressure, showed a willingness to adapt, which is the first time we’ve seen that under the Italian. The match was overshadowed by Kepa Arrizabalaga’s antics, after refusing to be substituted. The incident looks bad, not only for the Spanish ‘keeper, but for Sarri as well. It highlighted the problem with Chelsea, the manager has no respect from his players, due to their sacking culture. It’ll be interesting to see if Kepa start tonight – I think he will – or if Sarri sticks to his guns. A win for Chelsea could see them move up to fourth. They’re currently three points behind Arsenal, but do hold a game in hand. Whether they secure Champions League football or not could be the defining factor in Sarri’s long-term future.

Tottenham suffered their first defeat four league outings after Burnley beat them 2-1. Harry Kane made his injury comeback at Turf Moore but couldn’t steer his side to three points, despite getting on the scoresheet. This is the first game in a big week for Spurs, they face Chelsea, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund in the space of six season-defining days. They hold a strong lead over the German league-leaders but games against the Blues and the Gunners could have a big impact on their season. Although outsiders, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are only six points behind Liverpool at the top of the table. There is still a small chance they could challenge for the title, especially with Kane back to full fitness.

Andre Marriner is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 32 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 33. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 50+ total points for this fixture.

Chelsea will be hopeful of building on their performance at the weekend and will look to send out a signal against Spurs. Similarly, Tottenham won’t want to suffer back-to-back defeats, especially to a rival. Therefore, I’m going for a draw.

Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 1 with kick off at 19:45.

Prediction: Chelsea 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Match Betting Preview - Newcastle United vs Burnley. Tuesday 26th February 2019, FA Premier League, St James' Park. Live on BT Sport 1 HD - Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT.

Newcastle United vs Burnley
Tuesday 26th February 2019
FA Premier League,  St James’ Park

Live on BT Sport 1 – Kick-Off: 20:00 GMT

Newcastle United vs Burnley: Newcastle and Burnley go toe-to-toe in a crucial game at the bottom of the Premier League, with both sides buoyed by a recent upturn in form.

The Toon Army were treated to a comfortable 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town at the weekend. Record signing Miguel Almiron was a key figure on his home debut. Playing in the ‘number ten’ role, the Paraguayan gave a promising glimpse to the home faithful about what he is all about. Newcastle have missed a silky, creative presence for a number of years but they seem to have found their answer. The win over the Terriers took the Toon Army to 15thin the table on 28 points, four points above the drop zone. Whilst they are far from guaranteed safety, ten points from their last five games has gone a long way to securing another season of Premier League football. Rafa Benitez’s side have won their last three home games and with Everton, Crystal Palace and Southampton to follow, they’ll be confident about ending the season strongly.

Burnley recorded the shock result of the weekend with a 2-1 win over Tottenham. Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes’ second-half strikes did the damage. The Clarets are unbeaten in their last seven league outings, collecting 18 points in the process. All of those results have come after Sean Dyche reinstated club captain Tom Heaton between the sticks. The Englishman has been in superb form, with suggestions of an England recall growing. In attack, Barnes and Wood have proven to be a nuisance. The duo have scored 11 of Burnley’s last 14 goals in the league, which is some record. On the road, Dyche’s side are unbeaten in their last four.

Craig Pawson is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 31 top-flight matches this season. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 43.1. Therefore, I would advise a maximum of 60+ total points for this fixture.

Both of these sides are in fine fettle, despite being near the bottom of the league. It’s a big game for both teams and I don’t see much separating them. I’m going for a draw, which would extend the impressive unbeaten runs of both sides.

Newcastle United vs Burnley will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport 1 with kick off at 20:00 GMT.

Prediction: Newcastle United 1-1 Burnley

Match Betting Preview - QPR vs Leeds United. Tuesday 26th February 2019, The Championship, Loftus Road. Sky Sports Football HD - Kick-Off: 19:45 GMT.

QPR vs Leeds United
Tuesday 26th February 2019
The Championship, Loftus Road

Sky Sports Football – Kick-Off: 19:45pm

QPR will host promotion hopefuls Leeds United in the SkyBet Championship this Tuesday evening.

The hosts enter this match in torrid form. They have five straight losses in all competitions and just one win from their last ten. Meanwhile, Leeds have found that winning feeling again, with two back to back 2-1 wins over Bolton and Swansea.

The bookmakers are weary of QPRs recent form and SkyBet have priced them at 29/10 to win. QPR have fallen down the table in poor style and find themselves 18thin the standings. They failed to score in their last outing that saw them lose 2-0 away to Middlesbrough. Hoping to turn their fortunes will be striker Nahki Wells. The striker has six goals for the season and is 11/5 to score anytime.

QPR sure have been entertaining this season. Five of their 16 home Championship matches have seen over 4.5 goals. They are 6/1 to win and for both teams to score.

Leeds are favourites for this encounter and are priced at a tempting 10/11. As mentioned, Leeds enter this match in good form. However, the last time these two met last month in the FA Cup, they lost to that same 2-1 score line they seem to win by so much. Their away form does also not represent the dominance they would wish for. They have won two, drawn one and lost a further two in their last five matches on the road and conceded ten goals.

Trying to score the goals on the other side of the pitch has not proved difficult for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. With Kemar Roofe’s involvement questionable, Leeds will hope to call on Mateusz Klich who has scored seven times from midfield this season. He is price boosted to 14/1 to score first.

The referee for this match will be Andy Davies. The official has not been too lenient when officiating in this league this season. He has averaged 40.8 booking points per match this campaign.

QPR vs Leeds United will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Football HD and kicks off at 19:45.

Prediction: QPR 0 – Leeds United 2

– The visitors will not want to drop any points against a struggling side in. the business end of the season.

Suggested Tips – QPR vs Leeds United – (BET365)

  • Correct Score – Leeds United to win 2-0 – (link no longer available).

Match Betting Preview - Nottingham Forest vs Derby County. Monday 25th February 2019, The Championship, City Ground. Sky Sports Football HD - Kick-Off: 19:45 GMT.

Nottingham Forest vs Derby County
Monday 25th February 2019
The Championship, City Ground

Sky Sports Main Event – Kick-Off: 19:45pm

It’s the big East Midlands derby this Monday night in the SkyBet Championship as Nottingham Forest will host Derby County.

Both clubs are occupying 7thand 8thin the league standings and are both hopeful to qualify for the play-offs. Nottingham are in need of a win after two draws in a row. Derby also desperately need a win after two straight losses in all competitions.

Nottingham Forest are priced at 6/4 to win by SkyBet. Since Martin O’Neill’s arrival at the club, they have struggled for inconsistency. They have 2 wins from their last eight matches in all competitions and have recently had very low statistics. However, they have scored nine goals from their last five home matches and Lewis Grabban has been pivotal for them going forward. The striker has 15 league goals and is priced at 17/10 to score anytime.

Forest have scored in four of their last five meetings against their rivals.

SkyBet have price boosted the odds for Nottingham Forest to win and both teams to score to 9/2.

The bookmakers are struggling to split the two, with Derby County priced at 9/5 to win. Frank Lampard has made a great impression since his arrival at Pride Park and will understand the importance of this match to their fans. The Rams are in desperate need of a win having failed to win their last three outings. Likely to provide a moment of magic is Harry Wilson. The loanee attacker has stolen headlines with some incredible goals this season from range. He is priced at 14/5 to score anytime.

Derby have failed to keep a clean sheet in three matches. They are price boosted to 11/2 to win and for both teams to score.

The referee for this match will be Robert Jones. The official has been rather handy with his cards this season and has averaged 36.1 booking points in his 14 Championship matches.

Nottingham Forest vs Derby County will be televised on Sky Sports Football HD and kicks off at 19:45.

Prediction: Nottingham Forest 1-1 Derby County

– It’s always tense when these two meet and neither will want to lose this derby.

Suggested Tips – Nottingham Forest vs Derby County – (BET365)

Match Betting Preview - Chelsea vs Manchester City. Sunday 24th February 2019, Carabao Cup Final, Wembley Stadium. Live on Sky Sports Premier League - Kick-Off: 16:30 GMT.

Chelsea vs Manchester City
Sunday 24th February 2019
The Carabao Cup (League Cup) Final,  Wembley Stadium

Live on Sky Sports Main Event – Kick-Off: 16:30 GMT

Chelsea vs Manchester City: Premier league Champions Manchester City face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final, bidding to secure the first piece of silverware of the domestic season, two weeks after beating the Blues 6-0.

Pep Guardiola’s side were on the right side of that 6-0 mauling just a fortnight ago, which will still be fresh in the memory. The Citizens will be looking retain their title – if they were to do so, it would be the first time Manchester City have defended a trophy in the club’s history. Defending a trophy would be a huge statement for City, more so than actually winning the cup itself. Each time they have won the Premier League, they have faltered that following campaign. That’s a trait Guardiola is looking to eradicate, to make them a real powerhouse in English football. In midweek, City came from behind, with ten men, to beat Schalke in the Champions League. Raheem Sterling scored the winner in the 90th minute, the fifth time he’s scored past the 80th minute this season.

Chelsea were also successful in Europe this week, after beating Malmo FC 3-0. Callum Hudson-Odoi was on the scoresheet after starting the game. The big story of the week has been FIFA charging the club with 29 breaches of regulations in signing young players. That charge means Chelsea won’t be able to sign anyone for two transfer window. That ban looks set to be suspended until after this summer, due to their appeal, however, it has cast doubt on a number of key players’ future. Eden Hazard, CHO, David Luiz, amongst others, deals all expire in the next 12 months. That puts the club under serious pressure, with an under-fire manager at the helm. Maurizio Sarri has a huge task to keep his job but a much-improved performance against the champions would certainly help.

Craig Pawson is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 14 top-flight matches this campaign. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 48.8 As a result, I would recommend a maximum of 60+ total points, for this fixture.

Manchester City are overwhelming favourites for this match and rightly so. I don’t think it will be quite the white-wash of a fortnight ago, however I still fancy City to win.

Chelsea vs Manchester City will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event with kick off at 16:30 GMT.

Prediction: Chelsea 0-2 Manchester City

Suggested Tips – Chelsea Manchester City – (BET365):

  • Correct score: Manchester City – 2-0 – (link no longer available).
  • First Goalscorer – Raheem Sterling – (link no longer available).

Suggested Tips – Chelsea vs Manchester City – (SKYBET):

Match Betting Preview - Manchester United vs Liverpool. Sunday 24th February 2019, FA Premier League, Old Trafford. Live on Sky Sports Premier League - Kick-Off: 14:05 GMT.

Manchester United vs Liverpool
Sunday 24th February 2019
FA Premier League,  Old Trafford

Live on Sky Sports Main Event – Kick-Off: 14:05 GMT

Manchester United vs Liverpool: the visitors will be hoping to move back to the top of the Premier League table when they travel to Manchester United in North-West derby.

The Reds travel to Old Trafford to play out their game in hand over rivals Manchester City. Jurgen Klopp’s side currently sit level on points with Pep Guardiola’s men but their goal difference is ten goals inferior. A win would move them three points clear at the summit, against their greatest rivals. Liverpool drew 0-0 with PSG in midweek, in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League knockout tie. Virgil van Dijk was suspended for that game but will return to the Reds’ defence on Sunday. Klopp’s side beat United 3-1 back December, a game which ended Jose Mourinho’s reign as boss. Now the two clubs enter this game in very different positions, although Liverpool are still firm favourites. Sadio Mane opened the scoring against the Bournemouth, in their last league outing, which is his fourth goal in as many games. The Malian international could be a bet for first goalscorer.

Manchester United head into this fixture in a totally different mindset to that in December. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side impressed once again on Monday night as they won 2-0 against Chelsea. The Norwegian has now overseen wins at Stamford Bridge, Wembley and the Emirates Stadium. The last time United won at all three of those clubs for over thirty years, which underlines how well he has done. Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial’s absence will be felt but Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku both had strong games on Monday night. The Belgian is yet to score against Liverpool in his United career, however.

Michael Oliver is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated 14 top-flight matches this campaign. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 31.4. As a result, I would recommend a maximum of 50+ total points, for this fixture.

Manchester United will be desperate to derail Liverpool’s title tilt and look to restore their name as top dogs in the North West. In one of the biggest games of the season, I’m expecting fireworks, goals and nothing to separate the two sides.

Manchester United vs Liverpool will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event with kick-off at 14:05 GMT.

Prediction: Manchester United 2-2 Liverpool

Leicester City vs Crystal Palace
Saturday 23rd February 2019
FA Premier League, King Power Stadium

Live on BT Sport 1 – Kick-Off: 17:30 GMT

Leicester City will host Crystal Palace in Premier League action this Saturday afternoon.

The hosts will be hoping to end their bad form which has seen them lose five of their last six matches and draw the other. Meanwhile, the visitors are unbeaten in five matches and are climbing away from the relegation battle. The Foxes are 12thwith their opponents in 13thand five points separate the two sides.

Leicester are slight favourites for this encounter and SkyBet have priced them at 23/20 to win. Their form does make for grim reading and is the joint worst in the league in their last five matches. They haven’t managed to make their home a fortress this season however very rarely get beaten by a big margin. Claude Puel’s side have scored just seven in their last nine home league matches however one man who will look to even those stats will be Jamie Vardy. The striker has eight goals this season and is price boosted to 5/1 to open the scoring.

Two of the last three meetings between these two has seen a red card. SkyBet are offering 7/2 for a player to be sent off.

Crystal Palace are priced at a very tempting 12/5 to win given their recent form. Roy Hodgson’s side have rejuvenated after a long period of frustrating results. Their performances have been solid for much of the season however only recently their results have been justifying their efforts. Wilfried Zaha has also got out of his slump and has scored in his last two league outings. He is price boosted to 8/1 to score first.

The referee for this match will be Anthony Taylor. The official has not been too card happy this season. He has an average of 30 booking points from his 16 Premier League matches. 40+ booking points is priced at 8/11.

Leicester City vs Crystal Palace will be televised on BT Sport 1 HD and kicks off at 17:30.

Prediction: Leicester City 1-2 Crystal Palace

Match Betting Preview - West Bromwich Albion vs Sheffield United. Saturday 23rd February 2019, The Championship, The Hawthorns. Sky Sports Football HD - Kick-Off: 17:30 GMT.

West Bromwich Albion vs Sheffield United
Saturday 23rd February 2019
SkyBet Championship, The Hawthorns

Live on Sky Sports Football HD – Kick-Off: 17:30 GMT

West Brom play host to Sheffield United in what promises to be a fiery affair in the SkyBet Championship.

Both teams are occupying places in the top four league positions with the hosts 4thand just one points behind the Blades in 2nd. They are also both in good form, with two wins from their last two outings respectively.

The bookmakers are struggling to call this match, with SkyBet pricing West Brom at 7/5 to win. Their last outing saw them defeat QPR 3-2 in dramatic fashion. A late winner from Jake Livermore alongside goals from new boys Jefferson Montero and Jacob Murphy made the difference. Despite those three scoring, striker Jay Rodriguez has been the main man for the Baggies with 17 league goals. He also hasn’t lost in his last five appearances against Sheffield United and is 6/4 to score anytime.

Championship matches at The Hawthorns have been entertaining for neutrals. In 14 of the 16 matches, both teams have scored. SkyBet have price boosted the odds of West Brom to win and both teams to score to 4/1.

Sheffield United are priced at 19/10 to win and make it three wins from three matches. They were rampant in their previous outing against Reading. They ran out 4-0 victors against a struggling Reading side, with Gary Madine bagging a brace. Expected to be back in action this weekend is Billy Sharp. The striker has scored 22 league goals this season and has scored in 5 straight away matches. Safe to say he in top form heading into this one and is 8/5 to score anytime.

The referee for this match will be Oliver Langford. The official has been rather lenient during his 14 Championship matches with an average of 27.1 booking points. However, this is a real promotion six-pointer and sparks could fly.

West Brom Albion vs Sheffield United will be televised on Sky Sports Football HD and kicks off at 17:30.

Prediction: West Bromwich Albion 2-2 Sheffield United

– These two sides can both score goals for fun, however it is near impossible to call a winner.

Suggested Tips – West Bromwich Albion vs Sheffield United – (BET365):

  • Correct score: West Brom Albion to win 2-2 – (link no longer available).
  • Player to score anytime: Jay Rodriguez – (link no longer available).
  • Player to score anytime: Billy Sharp – (link no longer available).

Match Betting Preview - Burnley vs Tottenham Hotspur. Saturday 23rd February 2019, FA Premier League, Turf Moor Live on Sky Sports Premier League - Kick-Off: 12:30 GMT.

Burnley vs Tottenham Hotspur
Saturday 23rd February 2019
FA Premier League, Turf Moor

Live on Sky Sports Premier League HD – Kick-Off: 12:30 GMT

Burnley vs Tottenham Hotspur: Tottenham will be looking to close the gap on the top two when they visit relegation-threatened Burnley in the Saturday lunch-time game.

Spurs enjoyed a refreshing ten-day break after beating Borussia Dortmund 3-0 last Wednesday. Tottenham produced one of their best performances of the season against their German counterparts, despite being without several key men. Harry Kane is now back in training having missed the last seven games, although this game will probably come too soon for him. Heung-Min Son has been the man carrying the burden of scoring goals, to great effect. The 26-year-old has 16 goals this season, including 11 goals in his last 12 games. Spurs face Chelsea, Arsenal and Dortmund in the space of a week after this fixture. A run of games that will define their season. Therefore, they’ll want to go into that game in the best possible shape – with three points on Saturday.

Burnley’s recent upturn in form has seen them pull away from relegation danger. Sean Dyche’s side are still amongst the thick of things but are now 15th, three points clear of danger. Their 3-1 win over Brighton last time out was one of their best performance this season. Chris Wood grabbed a brace in that game, the striker’s third in as many games. Burnley are unbeaten in their last three home games, winning two of them. Saturday’s match against Tottenham will be a tough test for the Clarets, but given their recent form, they’ll feel capable of getting something from the game.

Mike Dean is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated nine top-flight matches this campaign. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 50.4. As a result, I would recommend a maximum of 70+ total points, for this fixture. Should Dean show a red card, it will be his 100th in the Premier League.

This will be a much tougher game than some might expect for Spurs. They are in superb form, though, having won their last league five games. Burnley will give it a good go, but I fancy Tottenham to just edge this one.

Burnley vs Tottenham Hotspur will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League with kick off at 12:30 PM GMT.

West Ham United vs Fulham

West Ham United vs Fulham: West Ham will be looking to end a run of five games without a win when they host relegation strugglers Fulham at the London Stadium on Friday night.

The Hammers haven’t tasted victory since their impressive 1-0 win over Arsenal on January 12. Since two draws and three defeats have seen Manuel Pelligrini’s side drop to tenth in the table and crash out of the FA Cup to AFC Wimbledon. In the last two games, West Ham have collected a point, against tough opposition. They’re battling performance against Liverpool earnt them plaudits, which were followed up with a draw at Crystal Palace. Long-term absentee Manuel Lanzini should be back for this one. The Argentinian ruptured his cruciate ligament weeks before the start of the World Cup, last year. Samir Nasri is also expected to play a part, whilst top scorer Marco Arnautovic is now also back in action.

Fulham have enjoyed ten days off after being knocked out of the FA Cup in the third round. Their match at West Ham begins a run of season-defining fixtures, which they need to get points from. The Cottagers face Southampton and Leicester in two of their next three fixtures after this one. With Bournemouth, Cardiff, Wolves and Newcastle their final four fixtures, it’s vital they’re still in with a chance to survive when they reach those games. Claudio Ranieri’s side sit 19th in the table, eight points adrift of safety. They have the worst defensive record in the league, after shipping 58 goals in 26 games.

Lee Mason is the referee for this fixture. The Englishman has officiated nine top-flight matches this campaign. In that time, he has accumulated an average booking points total of 35.9. As a result, I would recommend a maximum of 50+ total points, for this fixture.

West Ham will be hoping to get back to winning ways, on their own turf. Fulham are horrendous travellers and therefore I can only see this ending one way – in a home win.
