City claimed their first trophy of the season here in February, defeating Chelsea on penalties in the Carabao Cup final on that occasion. They’ll once again be back at the national stadium, looking to make another mark on their hopes of winning all four major trophies on offer to them. In the league, things have been near perfect of late. Wednesday’s routine 2-0 win over Cardiff City ensured an eighth straight Premier League win as they maintain their one-point buffer over Liverpool. Pep Guardiola handed Phil Foden his first league start against the Bluebirds and the youngster caught the eye in midfield. Although he is expected to drop out for this game, it wouldn’t be a huge shock to see him off the bench. The Englishman has featured for City in every round of the cup to date.
Brighton are in woeful form, which has seen them drop to within just five points off the relegation zone. Chris Hughton’s side sit 15th in the table on 33 points with seven league fixtures remaining. Goals have been the main problem for the Seagulls. They haven’t scored in either of their last two games, with only Huddersfield, Fulham and Newcastle scoring less than them in the league. The FA Cup has been a welcome distraction, although they have only beaten one fellow top-flight opponent on their route to the last four. As a result, a step up to the reigning Premier League champions is as tough as it comes, which could see them struggle.

The Canaries look to have one foot in the top flight already, after a run of seven consecutive wins. Daniel Farke’s side have opened up a seven-point lead on third-placed Sheffield United, with seven matches remaining. They have won just once of their 15 games, which has seen them plummet down the league table. They head to the league leaders 17th in the table, eight points above the bottom of the table. QPR’s last away win came back in December 2018, which underlines how poor their form has been. They’ve conceded six goals in their last three games and only four sides have conceded more goals in the league this campaign than R’s, ahead of a trip to the division’s top scorers.

Despite netting 20 goals this season, Mohamad Salah’s recent form could give Jurgen Klopp cause for concern. On the road, the Reds have won just one of their last four away league games, although three of those have been draws. It’s those dropped points which have handed the initiative to City, as opposed to their record at ‘fortress’ Anfield.
Southampton took a massive step to securing their Premier League status for another year, beating Brighton 1-0 at the Amex on Saturday. That win leaves the Saints 16th in the table, but they now hold a five-point lead over Cardiff City, with a game in hand. With Fulham and Huddersfield both relegated, it looks like a four-team battle to avoid that final spot. However, of the four sides, it’s Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men who are in the best form, winning three of their last five fixtures. At home, they’ve only lost one of their last five fixtures, winning their last two, which included an impressive victory over Tottenham. Liverpool should reference that result as a warning sign, otherwise, they could see themselves on the wrong side of an upset.

Arsenal vs Newcastle: Arsenal will be hoping to move up to third in the Premier League table with a home win over Newcastle on Monday night.
The Gunners sit just one-point behind third-placed Tottenham Hotspur, ahead of their trip to Anfield on Sunday. It’s been a long break for Unai Emery’s side, after they last featured on April 14, some 19 days ago. Their last Premier League outing was against Manchester United, where they came out 2-0 victors. However, I would expect him to feature once again against Newcastle on Monday. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have both benefited from Ozil’s playmaking, in this 3-4-1-2 system. Aubameyang has three goals in his last two games, as a result.
Newcastle come into this match 13th in the Premier League table, seven points above the relegation zone. Rafael Benitez’s side have been in good form recently, with just one defeat in their last six games. Last time out, they recorded a 2-2 draw away with Bournemouth, thanks to a late Matt Ritchie strike. The Magpies strong recent run has lifted them clear of danger, with only Arsenal and Liverpool still to play from the top six. They haven’t won away from home this year, however, which could a course for concern. Salomon Rondon will be hoping to secure his future at St James’ Park beyond this season. The Venezuelan striker has three goals in his last three games and five in his last nine matches.
