Spurs vs Watford – Spurs host Watford this Monday night in Premier League action.

With the season drawing to its conclusion, Spurs are hoping to cement their place in the top four places. Meanwhile, Watford have very little to play for, with their Premier League status safe for another season.

The hosts are currently fourth in the Premier League with Chelsea trying to catch them up. Mauricio Pochettino’s side have had another very impressive campaign, with Harry Kane, yet again, stealing the headlines. The striker has spearheaded an attack that have managed to find the net 66 times in their 34 outings. They have also managed to score two or more goals in 50% of their matches all season. Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli have also illustrated their class in recent weeks.

Defensively, Spurs have been rather tight and rigid at the back. Jan Vertonghen and Ben Davies have been two stand out performers throughout the Premier League season. They have been part of a back four that have conceded 31 goals all season and managed to keep a clean sheet in 41% of their matches. It’s tough to see past this strong North London outfit.

The visitors are currently 12th in the Premier League and far away from any danger that could occur. Whilst their attack has been rather prolific, at times their defence has made for poor viewing. They enter the match with 3 draws and 3 losses in their last six matches. Over the course of the season they have scored 42 times and managed two or more in 42% of their games.

However, defensively Watford have not been a pretty side. They have conceded 60 goals all season with only West Ham and Stoke conceding more. They’ve picked the ball out of their net 13 times in their last six games and kept a clean sheet in 25% of their matches all campaign. They have a tough evening ahead of them.

The referee for this match will be Michael Oliver. The official has awarded an average of 38.7 booking points in his 27 Premier League appearances.

The match will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League and will kick off at 20:00pm.

Manchester United vs Arsenal – But for it being Arsene Wenger’s final trip to Old Trafford as Arsenal manager, Sunday’s Premier League showdown at Manchester United means very little.

The vicious rivalry of yesteryear has dimmed in recent times, leaving this once massive date in the English football calendar looking rather insignificant amid the greater scheme of things. That is the case more than ever this season.

United are coasting in second place, unlikely to be caught by those below, and with their sights set on lifting the FA Cup final next month.

That could be key to their motivation this weekend. Manager Jose Mourinho has complained about his players’ inability to perform at a consistently high level this year and will be demanding they can continue where they left off while knocking Tottenham out of the Cup last Saturday.

Many felt the 2-1 comeback at Wembley United’s most complete, exciting display of the season and their Portuguese coach will expect them to retain the momentum gained.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are sixth in the table, with only the threat of being overtaken by Burnley to keep them on their guard.

Battling off the pitch to dispel rumours Wenger is being forced out by the board – rather than it being a mutual decision, the players have responded well in the two games since his departure at the end of the season was confirmed.

They thumped West Ham 4-1 at the Emirates last Sunday, and then played even better in the home leg of their Europa League clash with Atletico Madrid.

Unfortunately, they were not as ruthless in front of goal, though. They scored once from 27 shots – and then allowed ten-man Atletico to snatch an undeserved late equaliser and 1-1 draw.

With the semi-final tie so evenly poised – and the second leg in Madrid looming large four days after the United game – Wenger is likely to ring the changes and field a virtual second-string line-up.

Which hardly bodes well for any sort of upset on Sunday.

United are very strong on their patch this term. They have lost only three of 24 in all competitions, winning 19 of those.

You could argue Wenger’s reserves cannot do worse on the road than his regulars. Arsenal have not taken a point on their travels in 2018. They have won only three times in 16 away league games, losing a nightmare nine.

Arsenal have not won in the league at Old Trafford in ten attempts. They last won there in September 2006. However, they have drawn two of their last three at United.

Scorers: Alexis Sanchez is beginning to deliver. He followed two assists in the 3-2 derby win over Man City with a goal in last weekend’s FA Cup semi-final win over Spurs – his second in four games.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, cup-tied in the Europa League, seems certain to lead the Arsenal line. The Gabon striker has scored five in his last seven appearances.

Referee Kevin Friend has shown 40 yellows in 18 league games this season, an average 2.2 per match. He is yet to show a red card.

Manchester United vs Arsenal will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League HD with kick-off at 16:30 GMT.

West Ham vs Manchester City – Premier League Champions Manchester City are on the hunt for records as they travel to relegation-threatened West Ham United.

After securing the title two weeks ago, Pep Guardiola’s side are now seeking to be as dominant as possible. To claim the prestigious pseudo-title of ‘best Premier League side ever’. Brace for some incredible stats.

After 34 games City have 90 points. Just two wins will see The Sky Blues break Chelsea’s 2004-05 record of 95 points. Three wins and a draw from facing West Ham, Huddersfield, Brighton and Southampton – which is surely a given considering the respective clubs’ positions – will see City become the first side to ever break the 100-point mark in the Premier League. Astonishing.

Additionally, six more goals will see the goal-scoring record, which was also Chelsea’s (103 from 2009-10), broken too. City have scored two or more 28 times this season. In stark contrast, only Stoke (18) have conceded two or more on more occasions than the Hammers (17) this term. It would be a safe bet to assume both of those totals increasing.

Whilst the numbers may seem dry, the figures being posted are impossible to ignore. Guardiola’s team have romped to the title by playing the most fluid, eye-catching and penetrative football. Kevin De Bruyne narrowly missed out on the PFA player of the year to Liverpool’s red-hot Mo Salah, but the Belgian, and fellow superstars David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Leroy Sane to name a few, have been unplayable throughout the campaign.

Falling short to Liverpool’s own brand of swashbuckling football in the Champions League (5-1 on aggregate), and to a resilient performance by Wigan (1-0) in the FA Cup, the Premier League is where City have made their mark. It will undoubtedly be a mark that is difficult to erase.

At the other end of the table, West Ham are still embroiled in a relegation battle. A six-point gap from 18th is breathing space but face difficulties with City, Leicester, United and Everton still to play. Anything other than a defeat will surely be a bonus from this match, however.

If David Moyes manages to (and it seems likely) keep West Ham safe he will have achieved minimum expectations. Some credit is due. But the long-term direction of the club, amongst fan upheaval and boardroom dismay is still questionable at the least.

Refereeing this one will be Neil Swarbrick. The Englishman has one of the lowest average booking points per game and is still to give a red card. In his 19th Premier League game of the season he may face some difficulty in maintaining that figure, however. West Ham have the division’s worst disciplinary record, with a league-high 69 yellow cards and 21.8 booking points per match.

West Ham vs Manchester City will be televised live in the UK live on Sky Sports Premier League, with kick-off at 14:15.

Prediction: West Ham 0-3 Man City

It is hard to look beyond yet another comprehensive victory for the Premier League Champions.

Did you know: If Man City score 2 or more goals today – we land a 125/1 RequestABet from our opening day preview back in August. The bet was Mohammed Salah to score 15+ Goals and Manchester City to score 100+ goals this season at odds of a 125/1 !!!

Liverpool vs Stoke City: Liverpool will be hoping for victory against relegation-threatened Stoke as they continue their push for a top-four finish.

The Reds come into this game off the back of their 5-2 midweek victory over Roma. Mohamad Salah produced another spectacular display, further strengthening calls for him to challenge for the Ballon d’Or. The Egyptian grabbed a brace in their semi-final win, although Jurgen Klopp’s side did surrender a two-goal lead. Those two late strikes for Roma gave them crucial away goals, which could be pivotal. It leaves Roma needing to produce another 3-0 win at the Stadio Olimpico in order to progress. In the league, Liverpool again conceded two late goals as they drew 2-2 with West Brom. The Baggies fought back to earn a point, despite Liverpool looking home and dry. This week, they’ll be hoping for no mistakes. Four more points is all that is needed to secure a second consecutive top-four finish.

Stoke’s draw with Burnley last weekend plunged them further into trouble. That fixture was circled as ‘must win’ for the Potters. The result leaves them 19th, four points adrift of safety. With Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Swansea left to play, it’s clear Stoke need a minimum of two wins to stand a chance of avoiding the drop. As they’ve not won away since November, I don’t see them winning at Anfield. Should they make the unfortunate plunge into the Championship, I expect them to stick with Paul Lambert. Having led Norwich to promotion he could be the man to help them bounce back, at the first time of asking.

Andre Marriner is the referee for Saturday’s lunchtime clash. The Englishman has an average booking points total of 30.8. That score leaves him in mid-table for top-flight referees. As a result, I would avoid any big bets on a high number of booking points.

I really can see only one winner in this game. Liverpool might rest a few players with a trip to Rome on the horizon but I still expect them to take all three points.

Liverpool vs Stoke will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League HD with kick off at 12:15 GMT.

Prediction: Liverpool 3-0 Stoke

Suggested tips – Liverpool vs Stoke City – (BET365):

Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid – Arsene Wenger is finally leaving Arsenal but scarcely seems best pleased at the messy, rather unseemly end to his 21-and-a-half year reign in north London.

What better way, then,  to fire a message to the watching world that he is from finished as a top boss than by masterminding a victory over two legs against Atletico Madrid in the Europa League semi-finals.

The first leg is this Thursday at the Emirates and that should at least give the Gunners a chance of getting a lead to take into the away meeting a week later.

Atletico Madrid, managed by a contender for the Arsenal hot-seat Diego Simeone, are strong favourites –  not only to beat the north Londoners but lift the trophy outright for the third time.

They are currently second in La Liga, 11 points adrift of leaders Barcelona but four clear of Real Madrid. They may have performed poorly in the Champions league group stages, finishing third behind Roma and Chelsea, but they have recovered well since.

Under Simeone, the club’s record in Europe is impressive. They were twice runners-up to Real Madrid in the 2014 and 2016 Champions League finals, while in the Argentine coach’s first full season in 2011-12, they won the Europa League.

Whatever happens in the next few weeks, Atletico are certain to be in Europe’s elite competition next term.

Arsenal, by contrast, are slumped in sixth place in the Premier League. Their only hope of ensuring Champions League football for Wenger’s successor is by winning the Europa League.

But Wenger, 68, has never won a European trophy in his career. He has lost two finals as Arsenal boss – the 2006 Champions League and the 2000 Uefa Cup. He was also a runner-up in the Cup Winners’ Cup in 1992 as manager of French side Monaco.

As Gunners boss, though, his record in semi-finals is pretty good. In 21 to date, both domestically and in Europe, the Frenchman has been a winner in 13. In his three European semis, his only defeat was in the 2009 Champions League.

Home win: Despite being underdogs, Arsenal are in good form at the Emirates. They have won six in a row in all competitions, including beating AC Milan and CSKA Moscow in their previous Europa League ties there.

Atletico, on the other hand, have been inconsistent of late. They have won only once in five games – and have not won away in four. Their last success on the road was the 5-1 second-leg thrashing of Locomotiv Moscow at the last 16 stage.

Goalscorers: Atletico’s Antoine Greizmann has 27 goals this season, six in the last nine, and two in four Europa League appearances. Former-Chelsea striker Diego Costa is in the squad but not expected to be fit enough to start.

Arsenal playmaker Aaron Ramsey is in top form, having scored eight in his last nine appearances, including four in his previous three Europa League outings.

French referee Clement Turpin has shown 53 yellows in his 15 Ligue 1 games this season, an average of 3.53. He has shown two reds.  In five Champions League games, he has produced 17 yellows but no reds.

Prediction: Arsenal 2 Atletico Madrid 1

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid
Wednesday 25th April 2018
UEFA Champions League, Semi-final, First Leg, The Allianz Arena
Live BT Sport 1 – Kick-Off: 19:45

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid: Two of Europe’s heavyweights go toe to toe for a place in the final in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.

Bayern come into this game having beaten Sevilla in the last round. Despite knocking out Manchester United in the round of 16, the Spanish side couldn’t muster a way past Jupp Heynckes’ side. Having secured their sixth consecutive Bundesliga title, the club announced that Eintracht Frankfurt manager Niko Kovac will take over at the end of the season. With that in mind, Heynckes will be hoping to leave the club on a high and with a sixth European cup to boot. The last time the German side won the competition was under his reign, back in 2013. That could prove a lucky charm as they aim to reach only a second final since that win. Bayern have won six of their last seven games in all competitions. Their last defeat came over a month ago against RB Leipzig.

Real Madrid sealed their place in the last four following a dramatic 4-3 aggregate win over Juventus. Having broken history by retaining the Champions League, Ronaldo and co have their eyes set on a third title in as many years. Despite their improved form in the league, they have won one of their last three games and were held to a 1-1 draw at the weekend. With the league title gone but the top four secured, Zinedine Zidane can focus all his attention on this huge game.  Sergio Ramos is set to return from suspension, meaning all eyes will be on the Frenchman’s choice in attack. Isco, Kareem Benzema and Lucas Vasquez are all seemingly ahead of Gareth Bale in the pecking order, the Welshman will have to hope to make an impact from the bench.

Bjorn Kuipers will be the referee on Wednesday night. The Dutchman plies his trade in the Eredivisie and has an average cards per match total of 4.33. This includes 61 yellow cards in 15 games, which is the second highest in the league. Therefore, I would advise a maximum match booking points total of 40+.

This should be a fantastic cup tie. When two sides of this stature meet, there is usually little disappointment. I think that Madrid have to be favourites for the tie and I fancy them to get a draw in Germany.

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid will be televised live in the UK on BT Sports 1 with kick-off at 19:45 GMT.

Prediction: Bayern 1-1 Madrid.

UEFA Champions League, Semi-final, First Leg, Anfield
Live BT Sport  – Kick-Off: 19:45

Liverpool vs Roma: Liverpool host Roma in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final looking to make the most of home advantage.

The Reds will be hoping for victory to give them an advantage in Rome in the second leg. In the last round against Manchester City, their first leg at Anfield proved decisive. Jurgen Klopp’s side were 3-0 up before half-time and they will be hoping for a similar scoreline this time around. If Liverpool want to reach a first Champions League final since 2007, keeping a clean sheet at home could be crucial. With the Reds firepower they will cause any team a problem, however, if they could avoid conceding an away goal, it would put them in the driving seat. Mohamad Salah is expected to start, days after picking up the PFA player of the year award. The Egyptian claimed the trophy ahead of Kevin De Bruyne to cap off a memorable debut season on Merseyside.

Roma come into this tie off the back of a memorable victory over Barcelona. Despite being 4-1 down from the first-leg, they battled back to win 3-0 and progressed on the away goals rule. That result sent shock waves around Europe. There is now a genuine belief that Eusebio Di Francesco’s side could become the first Italian side to lift the trophy since Inter Milan in 2010. Despite an ageing squad, Roma have defied all odds to reach this stage of the competition.

Edin Dzeko has been an integral part of their success; scoring 22 goals this season. The former Manchester City striker is in the form of his life at the tender age of 32. In defence, Kostas Monolas has been imperious, whilst Danielle De Rossi has rolled back the years in recent week with some stellar performances. Roma sit third in Serie A, level on points with Lazio in fourth. With Inter Milan just one point behind the pair, the race to secure Champiosn League football is hotting up.

Liverpool come into this tie in the better form, winning five of their last seven games. Roma, by contrast, have won just three of their last seven fixtures, in all competitions. Flexi Brych is the referee for Tuesday’s fixture. The German plies his trade in the Bundesliga and has an average card total of 3.8. This includes 54 yellow cards in 15 league games, averaging at 3.6 per game. Therefore, I would advise a maximum booking points total of 40 for any bets in this game.

This is a huge game, for both sides. Should Liverpool rise to the occasion, as they did against City, they will win. I fancy them to take a lead to Rome and win the first-leg.

Liverpool vs Roma will be televised live in the UK on BT Sport with Kick-Off at 19:45 GMT.

Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Roma.

Everton vs Newcastle United – With Newcastle all but securing their Premier League status after a fantastic run of results, they travel to Everton for a clash as mid-table as they come with 9th hosting 10th.

Rafael Benitez has masterminded an extremely productive season at the helm of Newcastle United. With almost no funds afforded to him amidst Mike Ashley’s desire to sell the club, The Magpies are now on 41 points with five games left. A great return.

Newcastle’s guidance into safety is largely on the back of the four consecutive victories they have garnered. Victories against rivals Southampton and Huddersfield were supplemented with excellent wins away at Leicester and against Arsenal at St. James Park.

Despite Newcastle being below Everton, the atmosphere is completely different within the two clubs. Toffees fans are voicing their discontent of Sam Allardyce’s methods and playing styles. These concerns were voiced via an internal questionnaire given to the fans asking to rate their satisfaction. It didn’t turn out well for the veteran manager.

Even though the momentum is diverse, Newcastle have to overturn some dreadful recent form in this fixture to get the win. The Toon have won just once in the last ten meetings between the sides, losing eight times. Newcastle haven’t even managed a goal in the previous four clashes.

It is hard to look past this being a tense match where defensive play is king. Wayne Rooney has scored ten league goals (but has none in 14 games, since January) and Oumar Niasse has seven, but other than that no player in either side has managed to find the net more than five times.

Everton will hope to continue their solid home form, sitting as high as 7th place in that metric and only losing five times in 17 games. Newcastle, have good away form, reaching 8th. This truly is a middling game for the Premier League that could go either way.

Bobby Madley is officiating this one, for what will be his 18th Premier League game of the campaign. The high-profile referee has only given out 56 yellow cards and two reds this season. With both teams only receiving one sending off this term the stats suggest it’ll be unlikely that tally will be increased.

Everton vs Newcastle will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Football HD with kick-off at 20:00 GMT.

Prediction: Everton 1-1 Newcastle

With Newcastle now seemingly having nothing to play for, and Everton not in the greatest of form, this one will be tight.

Arsenal vs West Ham United  – The Arsenal crisis of a month ago has eased considerably. Yet it takes only one bad performance and result  to reignite the flames of protest among their supporters.

Arsene Wenger, as ever the centre of everybody’s attention in respect of his 21-and-a-half-year reign, must be mighty glad, then, that their next fixture, against West Ham in the Premier League this Sunday, is at home.

After their latest setback on the road, a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle, left them still without an away point in 2018, Wenger and his persistently inconsistent Gunners need to restore confidence fast – on and off the pitch.

Remember, Atletico Madrid are in town next Thursday for the first leg of the Europa League semi-final – a competition that could well define and decide exactly what happens next in N5.

Winning it is the club’s only way back into the Champions League next season, with the top-four qualification route long gone – for a second year running. Indeed, the north Londoners are in more danger of failing to make the top six. Burnley sat only two points behind them ahead of their Thursday clash at home to Chelsea.

West Ham, meanwhile, continue to keep themselves away from dire trouble at the basement.

But it was a close call I their previous game last Monday when it took a late equaliser from fit-again Andy Carroll to salvage a crucial point against second-from-bottom Stoke.

That meant the east Londoners were seven points clear of the bottom three – and with talk of a long-term deal for manager Moyes in the air – there is at last some light at the end of the tunnel, and potential for progress.

Not that you should expect the visitors to upset the form guide at the Emirates – not when Arsenal are so keen to return to winning ways after a seven game unbeaten run in all competitions was ended by Newcaste.

Home win: Arsenal have won five in a row at their fortress, while West Ham have not won in five games on the road, losing four of them. The Gunners have won seven of the last eight league home meetings with the Irons.

Scorers: Arsenal’s Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may not start, according to Wenger, as he is unavailable for the Europa League next week. He has scored five in his last five appearances. Hammers super sub Carroll is sure to be on the bench again, with Marco Arnautovic, three goals in last eight games, to lead the visitors’ line.

Referee Lee Mason has shown 34 yellow cards in 15 games this season – an average of 2.3 per game. He has shown two reds.

Arsenal vs West Ham United will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League HD with kick-off at 13:30 GMT.

Manchester City vs Swansea City – Premier League champions Manchester City welcome Swansea City to the Etihad Stadium this weekend in Premier League action.

The hosts have officially now won the Premier League after a very dominant season at the top spot. The visitors are still hoping to avoid relegation and hope that the momentum of Carlos Carvalhal’s introduction can carry them over the line.

Manchester City are 1st in the Premier League with no more competitive competitions to worry about. With their season all but done, Pep Guardiola may be likely to play a few more less experienced figures in the squad. The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Leroy Sane and Sergio Aguero have been pivotal to the Citizens success this season. They have led an attack that has scored 93 goals in 33 league appearances.

Also, they have scored two or more in 87% of their home matches this season. Not only have they scored the most this season, they have conceded the least too. Their strong defensive line has conceded 25 goals all season and kept a clean sheet in 37% of their home Premier League matches. Clear favourites for this, although unsure at to how strong they will line up.

Swansea are currently 17th in the Premier League, five points from the drop zone. They also have a game in hand on teams around them which could be crucial at this stage. The Swans have seen a complete uplift in their performances of recent months and havent shied away from the top six teams in the Premier League. Their attacking intent has improved, with Jordan Ayew the focal point. Swansea have scored only 27 goals in 33 games and have managed to score two or more in only 11% of their games on the road.

Defensively, Swansea have been tougher to break down than the teams around them. They have conceded 46 goals; the best defensive record in the bottom half. Alongside this, they have kept a clean sheet in 27% of their league matches this campaign.

The referee for this fixture will be Craig Pawson. The official has awarded an average of 40.5 booking points in his 21 Premier League matches.

Manchester City vs Swansea City will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League with kick off at 16:30 GMT.
